A new studio album from legendary singer/songwriter Paul Anka will be released on Feb. 13, 2026.
Titled Inspirations of Life & Love, the record celebrates his seven-plus decades of entertainment and features nine new songs and two classic hits.
Notably, two tracks on the album were co-written with musical icons in their own rights: Michael Jackson (“Love Never Felt So Good”), and Jack White (“Freedom – Prefer the Fade”).
“Love Never Felt So Good” was originally released as a posthumous Michael Jackson single in 2014, a reworking of a demo Jackson and Anka had first put together decades earlier. It peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Jackson the first artist in history to have a top 10 single on the US Billboard Hot 100 in five different decades.
The track listing:
1. Just Can’t Wait
2. Anytime
3. Boulevard
4. It Was a Very Good Year
5. Let Me Try Again
6. All of a Sudden (My Heart Sings)
7. Love Never Felt So Good
8. Freedom – Prefer the Fade
9. I Believe
10. The Last Time I Saw You
11. That’s Life

Actually it was first released by Johnny Mathis in 1984

Hi Newbie,

FYI: This is to explain your qustion!
what does infsg mean

When speaking about Michael's songs/leakes/releases etc. some FANS have begun using the INTIALS of the MJ songs we are discussing.
It takes a bit for you to get used to but it is way easier then typing out the ENTIRE name of the song, so for example 10X in a post!
You get that right! Also when you see just "M" is for Michael or other posts with "MC" is Macaulay Culkin or "OB" Omar Bhatti and so on and these are the names of people associated with Michael!

I hope that helps you understand the communications here!
Thanks for asking your question!!

The Michael Jackson song "Love Never Felt So Good" was released posthumously on May 2, 2014, as the lead single from the album Xscape.
A version of the song featuring Justin Timberlake was also released on the same day.
Three versions of the recording were officially released: a duet featuring Justin Timberlake, a solo remix, and the original demo.

The Behind the Song Background:
"Love Never Felt So Good" was conceived and recorded during a two-week collaborative stint between Jackson and Paul Anka in 1980, around the same time as "This Is It" (originally "I Never Heard") and "Don't Matter to Me".[1] The original version only featured Jackson's vocals, finger snaps, and a piano, played by Anka. The song was later recorded by Johnny Mathis, with revised lyrics by Anka and Kathleen Wakefield. His version was included on his 1984 album, A Special Part of Me. On December 24, 2006, a low-quality demo version leaked online.

Michael Jackson Estate co-executor John McClain and Dutch composer Giorgio Tuinfort reworked "Love Never Felt So Good" in 2010 to be considered for Michael, the first posthumous album of Jackson's unreleased material. The track was ultimately unselected. In the same year, an HQ demo version would leak online.

After being left unreleased for four years, the Michael version of the track was selected as the first track on Xscape. Yet another version of the track, co-produced by Timbaland with J-Roc and featuring vocals from Timberlake, was included as a bonus track on the deluxe version. The version featuring Timberlake also includes sampled percussion and breaths from "Workin' Day and Night".

I hope that helps you with info rearding this AMAZING song by Michael which I LOVEEEEEEE 2 DEAFNESS!

got it

I’m I the only one who took offense with this:

“Notably, two tracks on the album were co-written with musical icons in their own rights: “

Applying this to MJ makes no sense because he’s not “an icon in his own right” relative to anyone else but the benchmark for the words “musical icon.” That phrase only really makes sense when the person’s fame or credibility could otherwise be seen as derivative or less.

Maybe I’m just overthinking.

:cautious: Paul Anka, ughhhhhh he is Canadian like me and I was not impressed nor forgiving when it came to the comments he said about Michael after This Is It popped off!!
How dare he talk about Michael the way he did I do not care how they fell out I don't care, what I do care about is that OLD DONKEY had the nerve not to be GREATFUL that Michael made him millions when HE sang the song and not the others that did their versions which to me sucked!
That song was NOTHING until Michael gave his angel vocals to it bcus it was dead for years and then MICHAEL BLESSED IT period!!
HE BETTER KISS MICHAEL'S ..... 😜o_O👉
He has not had a hit since what the 70's he was the MJ of the 50's and 60's maybe he better thank GOD that Michael chose to breath LIFE into his dead songs!!
He is an embarassment to Canadians everywhere period!!
My 2 cents ehy!!!!(y)

Maybe the Estate allows him only lnfsg
That's quite possible. He released a version of This is It on the 2013 Duets album. The estate probably gave him permission to do so.

Which version of Love Never Felt So Good do you think is on the new album? Probably the Xscape demo. Or a reworked mix? Maybe Ankas solo version?

I think it's a nice detail that LNFSG is the seventh song on the album. It's Michael's favorite number.

Yeah, no diving into information research, I wonder, is it a version with Paul Anka singing on it? Or is it an album with "guest" singers?

Even after decades of knowing MJ's discography and MJ's stuff, this keep being confusing and make some posts difficult to read.
(I think that LNFSG, TDCAU, DSTYGE and GIT, and maybe TLIML are the only one I recognise right away. 2-letters or 1-letters are the hardest.
EDIT: Well, also YRMW, WYWTOM, RTT, TTA, SITD, CYFI... there are actually more obvious ones than I remembered, but still, not great for readability.)

There's also an entire thread somewhere dedicated to what "JB" could stand for. But it went far beyond the limits of MJverse.
