One of the worst storms experienced... No electricity...

Hello all.

There are over a million ppl. Without electricity where I live...including me. Yesterday's storm was unlike what the eastcoast has ever experienced... Falling threes, No AC l, with all the 100degrees and over heat index. We r gonna have more storms, equal, if not worse than yesterday. There r no traffic lights...except some main roads. CNN estimates that we will get back electricity in a week or so.


It's been crazy. Mickie, I know u live in the east coast, or so I think. Is everything ok where u r?

I don't know when I'll be able to post more but this is for now. I hope everyone is well.

Oh wow I'm sorry to hear that Romi - That really sucks .. especially with the heat index so high. Iv'e been there before ad it's miserable. Plus expensive having to eat out every day. I sure hope the power is restored to you area sooner than a week. No I don't live on the east Coast. I am in EST zone but live in Michigan. Ill keep you in my prayers and please if you can keep us updated .. I hope you can find a Friend or family to stay with that has power. :better:

OMG I see that storm was of hurricain porportion .. very damaging. also Souldreamer is in the WV area

I was in the storm area as well. After 48 hours we finally got our electricity and service back and hopefully will not lose it again.

Mickie, there will be some delay in sending the CD's out, nothing seems to be open and/or work around here.

I heard there were more storms expected .. Is you area clear yet. ?

We had another storm last night but these were not as strong as the friday one. Still half of the city is without electricity though.

Yes we got storm in SE Michigan yesterday and last night .My powers stayed on but I lost internet. TV and phone for the day.
Large hail stones, heavy winds and lots of rain. Part of a tree fell down in the drive way.

Lights came back a day ago. and now I have internet… I hope everyone is ok.

qbee sorry to see that you are affected as well but luckily it seems the damage is minimal . Romi happy to hear that you have electricity. in our neck of the woods stores and businesses are going back to normal finally. I still need to get the tree guys to come down and cut the tree that partially fell down.
