I wanted to start a thread where we could share about quotes/sayings we have heard or read about which have had a meaningful impact on our life.
I did find an old quotes thread from using the search bar but I wanted more than just a list of quotes.
I would love it if you could share why you found the quote meaningful/how it impacted you. It doesn't have to be from MJ, or from famous people, it could be things heard from friends/family/colleagues or even from TV. Where possible, it would be helpful to provide some references for the quote so others can locate it.
So here I go!
Although I said this thread is not specifically MJ related, I thought I would start with an MJ quote.
This is taken from the 1995 simulchat MJ did with fans.
One of the fans asked about how LMP marriage changed his life and he gave an answer about love and family that I found really enlightening.
The quote:
'I think I find it more fun to appreciate what family really means. the fact that even though there were 10 of us Jacksons and we were always doing things at different times and I am really learning the real meaning of love. Giving 100% of yourself all the time. Putting up with one another. So far it has been pretty joyous.' -MJ 1995 simulcast.
It's the part in bold that really struck me.

Why I found the quote meaningful/how it impacted me:
It made me reflect on how I give 100% of myself to my studies or my work, but I'm embarrassed to admit that it never really occurs to me to give 100% of myself to family, they usually get the short straw, yet they are the ones who are more important. It made me think about how I show up for my close ones, and every now and then that quote will pop into my head and I think about whether I am showing up for my family 100% or something close to it.
