Michael Jackson wanted to become more famous than legendary dance and film stars Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire — so he plotted to be “immortalized” in movies before his death, his secret diary reveals.
“If I don’t concentrate [on] film, no immortalization,” Jackson wrote in the months before he died.
“[I want to be] better than Kelly and Astaire . . . the greatest ever.”
Jackson challenged himself to be “in the likes of Chaplin Michelangelo Disney. These men Demanded Perfection Innovation always.”
To help him break into movies, MJ wanted to partner with “American Idol” creator Simon Fuller.
“Develop [undecipherable] 2 a year for 6 years . . . a movie a year for the next 5 years,” Jackson wrote. “Simon Fuller . . . call Fuller myself.”
Jackson’s family is suing the pop star’s concert promoter, AEG, claiming the entertainment giant didn’t do enough to prevent the singer’s shocking death on June 25, 2009.
The family’s lawyers want Jackson’s writings admitted into evidence, so they can show the 50-year-old King of Pop still had plenty of money-making plans.
AEG claims that the papers have no date, and there’s no way to know exactly what Jackson meant in his scribbles.
LA Superior Court Judge Yvette Palazuelos hasn’t ruled on whether jurors should see the papers.
Jackson’s words seem to reveal that the mega-star also wanted Broadway producers to create a play about his life — so he could become the “first multi-billionaire entertainer-actor-director.”
Along with movie deals, Jackson planned to launch a line of soda and cookies.
And Jackson’s private papers also showed how deeply addicted to drugs he was.
The star needed now-notorious Dr. Conrad Murray to fly in from London and set up a “drip” of prescription drugs so he could sleep, according to MJ’s diary.
“Conrad must practice now,” Jackson wrote. “I can’t be tired after procedure to important Rim [sic] sleep.”
Murray was convicted of manslaughter for giving Jackson lethal doses of anesthesia as sleep medication

Oh please, who is taking some information from his notes and creating a tabloid story?

Shouldn't this be moved elsewhere?

As far as I know, these statements come from notes that were found in MJ's house after he died, not his diary. There's a thread about this in the AEG trial section.

I wish Michael could have worked on film, he seemed so inspired to do it. As badly as i wanted to see Michael live. I wish he would have just done film, and worked on new music, and not toured again, maybe a few one off shows, but not a full on tour, Michael has always said touring took a toll on him.
