interesting comparison. both are atmospheric compositions that take place at night. one is warm, the other is chilling.. the light represents a friend in one, and an enemy in the other.

I know that it was michael’s dream to act in more movies after ‘the wiz’, but he could have done movie soundtracks instead.

I voted ‘someone in the dark’ because I simply like it better than ‘scared of the moon’. I’m drawn to more optimistic music in general.

Great juxtaposition, it is what I had in mind but couldn’t find the words for.
 
oh my goodness, I love both songs. I really want to say scared of the moon, love the vocals. just gorgeous, but my heart is saying someone in the dark....I kinda have to choose it. don't know why tho
 
E.T. was huge in 1982 and Someone in the Dark would have sat beautifully as track 3 on Thriller instead of The Girl Is Mine
