The Man in the Moon Cried Today - For Michael

I saw the Man in the Moon today,

he looked surprised, shocked and dismayed.

He looked farther then he thought his eyes could ever see,

he couldn't admit what the truth would now be.

He woke up and searched night after night deep, high and wide,

he didn't see his light on the Earth anymore and he began to cry.

He no longer saw his earthly star reflected when he came out to shine,

he did not know why it ceased to return it's glowing sparkle this time.

He kept on seeking and staring and vowed to never ever stop,

he refused to believe his inspiration for singing was somehow forever lost.

He had no clue or idea of what he now was going to have to do,

he never ever imagined that his star wouldn't shine brightly through.

He had watched his star sparkle so long and ignored his jealous sky,

he couldn't stop his heart from constantly breaking and didn't know how to try.

He was so scared of what would happen to this Earth deep inside,

he worried would it recover and like him could it even survive.

He hurt and feared for the planet his star called home, and will it go on,

he knew his reason for being and for beaming was now truely gone.

I saw the Man in the Moon crying today,
he looked so sad and shocked and dismayed.

- I have been going through alot these days, and find I feel more weary when I do not dream, when I sleep. Last night I dreamed for the first time in months. I got up so late, around 4 o'clock. I went out side and to my greatful surprise, the Moon was looking at Me.
At 4 o'clock in the afternoon. It was so beautiful, I told everyone to come and see. No did or cared to see the most amazing creation. So I stayed there staying for awhile, and the face of the Man in the Moon, was of shock and hurtful surprise. I could see his eyes and the pain there vividly, his mouth was open as if frozen in saying Oh No,Please No! It was so clear it could not be denied. I was so moved I thanked God and Michael for this amazing site to behold. I ran and scrambled for a camera to get the picture to show you all. When I get the pictures on the computer I will post it here for you all to see.
Then just before I said good-bye to the Man in the Moon, this poem came out of me. And I wrote it down for You. I hope you like it..
