Views disappearing on MJ official YouTube channel

A few sources have been reporting views disappearing from the MJ channel overall view count. The view count has gone from 13 billion views to now 176 million. Could this perhaps be the estate remastering some videos (which get uploaded under the same date and link as the original 480p uploads) or perhaps something to do with the recent sale of MJ’s catalog?
