As someone with autism/ADHD/OCD, I love listing my favorite musician’s most well known songs and making a setlist out of it. It just helps me relax and remove all of my stress. However, there are three musicians I am having some trouble with, because they have SO MANY hit songs that its hard to narrow them down. And one of them is Michael Jackson.

Unlike the others, all of the data for the Michael Jackson’s hits (Spotify, YouTube, setlist.fm, Billboard, chartmasters, single sales, album sales, cultural significance, etc.) is inconsistent. For example, take Spotify stats from kworb.net., Don’t Matter to Me is 8 and Chicago is 15 on there, but you likely will be hard pressed to find someone put those two songs anywhere that close or at all on their most famous MJ song list (possibly even with a Top 50 like this one).

So I want to make a definitive list aggregating and taking into account all of the aforementioned data but I don’t think of capable of doing it alone. So I want to ask the help of the dedicated fans on this forum. And I chose 50 songs because it’s a nice big even number, and I needed to limit it to one set amount. So what are the 50 most famous Michael Jackson songs?

The same thread again?

I don't understand why you are so obsessed with getting a consensus on this. You won't. People have different opinions. Deal with it.

You put Earth Song in 47th place? That's where I draw the line. Joiking. But seriously.

The songs are arranged roughly chronologically and selected based on popularity and success. Therefore, YANA, BotDF and YRMW are also included.
If it were up to me, I would have included GITM and Who Is It on the list instead. But iconic means something like famous and popular.

Can't Get Outta The Rain.

I was just joking, more seriously:
Music And Me.

As someone with autism/ADHD/OCD, I love listing my favorite musician...
As someone with autism, I'm so bored with fandoms making song selection lists.

(Though I still love extensive/exhaustive chronological lists including catalog and matrix numbers... Stuff like that...)

So what are the 50 most famous Michael Jackson songs?

More seriously you don't need made up list for that, you can use an algorithm:
Just take albums Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous , that's already 44 songs.
Add We Are the World, I'll Be There, I Want You Back, ABC (maybe Can You Feel It, I'm not sure).
Add HIStory (disc 2).
Remove Burn This Disco Out, Why You Wanna Trip On Me (then I'm not sure what to do with She Drives Me Wild and Can't Let Her Get Away so you decide).
Then remove all the lesser known songs from HIStory until count drops to 50.

They probably like listening to people's opinions 🤷
But they don't. Opinions don't come into it. They simply want numbered lists.

And every few days they ask exactly the same question. Again and again. It's just bizarre and serves no purpose.
