hello little moonwalkers,
I'm new on here, and whilst I'm not a crazy fan of MJ, i am still a big one, and since he's death, I have been more than confused, so I'm only really joining to ask fellow MJ Lovers how they deal with certain things I have been trying to make sense of.
Unfortunately, I'm the type of person who wont give up on something until I am fully satisfied that I understand it, and after his death, I had discovered not only the most recent rumours/stories, but even the very old ones, and tried to make sense of them. Now I'm not talking about the sleeping in the chamber rumours, or the elizabeth taylor shrine stories, and I know for a fact, Michael did not hurt any children, and that all the allegations were a way to suck money out of this poor human being. I understand completely that, like quoted in his song "wanna be startin sumthing" he was somewhat like a buffet, where the media and everyone were hungry for money and pretty much ate off of him something so absolutely disgusting, i still cant believe theres people who actually do that sort of stuff.
But I wanted to ask, how you guys deal with the stories and the rumours? Do you feel the need to investigate further?
What do you guys choose to read and watch about MJ that you can trust wont ridicule him as a person? For example, that Martin Bashir interview, which I know turned out to be a flop anyway, but it made me question the whole "mother of Blanket" issue as in the interview he first said that he knew the mother and then later on, said that he didn't know her. Now I understand that some things we are just not meant to know, and we have to respect and accept that, and if Michael did lie, it would only be to protect himself from any further injustice, so I'm kinda ok with that.
But all the other things that seem to leak left right and centre. I no longer listen or read anything about him in regards to the news or even magazine articles, and am quite happy I can block it all out, even tho every now and then someone likes to come along and remind me wats hot off the press about him, which bothers me more than anything, but enough of that. So ye, just wanted to know what you guys do? Even that man in the mirror movie thing jst wasnt right to me, they made him out to be childish not child like, sumthing michael brings up in so many interviews.
I usually tell myself i wont believe anything unless i hear or see it come from his mouth, the rest does not matter because if he wants us to know, he would tell us. But it's so hard to do that when you so badly want to know more about someone you love so much.
