Was this tour really insured by an outsider carrier or did AEG self-insure?

I "heard" some rumblings about self-insure, and if that is true...well....things are going to get messy.

Can anyone here clarify on the insurance issue? Is there solid proof that the show was insured by an outside company?

Loyds of London insured the first ah, 10 shows I believe. I will keep looking for the link that says how many shows, as now that I say 10 that seem more than a little odd to me?

On Friday, Lloyds of London said: "We can confirm that some of the insurance for the Michael Jackson concerts are placed with Lloyds market but any losses [are] not likely to be significant.

Editing to add this.
This face book post is all I can find now? Not that suprising I guess! They do have a source named for the information though.

AEG is the giant concert promoter that also controls the new Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and The Colosseum at Caesars Palace here. In fact, owner and Denver billionaire Phillip Anschutz had to give his OK and the guarantee to the company to sign Michael to the $50 million to $100 million earnings commitment in London!
To date, AEG has been able to secure insurance for only the first 10 shows. However, Anschutz is prepared to self-insure the remaining shows in Bower, but negotiations over large premiums with Lloyds of London underwriters are continuing.
