I heard in some old 80's documentary that the Victory Tour was actually Their 13th official Tour since 1970.

I Think they just didn't promoted these tours with official names back then, I put those names just as a way to organize. basically each summer they were on the road in the us promoting an album as soon as it came out with new outfits. Back when I saw the Doc it kinda made more sense to me, I mean it seems more "righteous" to their legacy.

Quick question: when did Johny Jackson stop playing drums? When did Tony Lewis start? Was there anybody between the two?

Johnny Jackson Played From 1967 to 1979. He replaced Molford Hite (1965 to1967) and Tony Lewis was on the Destiny tour with them.
During '75- '77 they hired orchestras on their Vegas revue shows.

Because ABC, simple as Do Re Mi...

Not sure what you mean with "oversimplified".
"Maybe Tomorrow World Tour" would definitely sound great.

LOL(y) nice one
Michael spoke in interview like he had to prepare for tours to promote each group album for motown 71-76 which included major US cities every summer.
On websites you'll find the european dates as a "European Tour" even though it's clearly just a "European Leg" that is part of The 1972 Tour promoting "Lookin'Through The Windows" (w/the solo projects).
But on the other hand, the "World Tour" is presented as a unit when it's actually more like:
A) Skywriter '73
B) G.I.T '73 / '74
C) Dancing Machine 1st Leg '75/ Moving Violation 2nd Leg '75 and 3rd Leg '76.
It's been like that since the late 2000's at least. It make it seem like they hit the roads once or twice.

As for "Maybe Tomorrow" it was a North Amercan Tour, the european concerts were canceled.

Definitely,
The main issue though is how the tours were labeled. We don’t know how the tours were truly labeled.
The earliest set of concerts I’ve seen with Moving Violation promoted was the MGM Grand July 1975 run. So maybe a moving violation tour would be July 9 1975 to Dec 28, 1976?
Where would the Venezuelan concerts stand? Because on Facebook I saw The Jacksons 1977 spring tour on a booklet. Which I’m assuming is the march and April dates of 1977 idk if their are more 1976 and 1977 dates bc of The Jacksons variety show their seemed to be gaps in between the dates.
For the G.I.T Tour I would also assume Oct 19 1973 - Sept 3, 1974. I say this bc dates July 20 to Sept 2 1973 I guess are classified as "Summer 73’ Concert Tour"

The first appearance I have seen of Get It Together being performed was August 24. The Indianapolis concert review doesn’t mention "G.I.T”. Maybe they rehearsed G.I.T. Aug 23 who knows but they would also have to rehearse it before the so maybe they were prepping in between tour dates. Maybe Tomorrow was rehearsed in May 1971 but i don’t believe it was performed until July 16, 1971?? Anyways just a possibility.
To expand on the idea of G.I.T tour date range start Sept 13, 1974 the setlist was changed implementing "The Life of The Party" so just maybe this could’ve been the start of a Dancing Machine tour but I’m not sure when it would end. According to an itinerary with Jamaica and Puerto Rico the tour is labeled as March 1975 so maybe just a leg or… idk also where would the Las Vegas to Westbury concerts Fit?
Back to Moving Violations tour we do know there is a Fall Leg or maybe just the start of the tour
Here is the link for the shirt Maybe this could’ve been a leg of the tour or separate.

- I don't think that they Officially Labeled the tours.
- July 1975 is also the time they started peforming both "Moving Violation" and "Forever Came Today" so that make sense. But the Circle star engament from December 17th to 28th could have been the start of the Jacksons LP promo too.
- The Venezuala dates are also part of the Jackons LP Tour the spring leg is the US dates and then the UK in May.
- "Get It Together" was Highly anticipated by the group they talked about it in July '73. They performed it late August. And Oct'73-sept'74 was G.I.T Tour.
- The Brazil dates had "The Life of The Party" and "I Am Love" on the Setlist. It can be considered First leg of Dancing Machine Tour, there a Break in December then the 2nd leg in '75 Had songs From "Forever, Michael" until may 15th, 1975.
So Moving Violation Tour would Start June 9th: The Album was released May 15th While Forever Came Today was released June 10th and performed on TV on June 16th along with "Moving Violation" and "One Day In Your Life".

That's a very strenuous tour program, there's a concert almost every day
