1996 - The musical "Sisterella" premiered at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, CA. Michael Jackson was co-executive director and had invested in the play. 2001: Tonight, at 8 pm, Michael Jackson was planning on attending "Madame Melville", a theatre play with actor Macaulay Culkin. However, due to sudden shooting pains in his broken foot, he had to cancel his evening out. Earlier today, Michael Jackson had expressed his deep thanks to his fans for their amazing support in London.
2007 - Michael Jackson Attends A VIP Party in Tokyo Japan, held in his honor. VIP Guests paid ($3400 / £1800) for a ticket to the special event. The guest were treated to hugs, handshakes and a photo with Michael. The tickets also included a buffet dinner and a show featuring several Japanese Michael Jackson impersonators. 100 orphaned and handicapped children were invited to the event for free. Michael, wearing sunglasses and dressed in a black-and-gold suit designed by Roberto Cavalli, appeared on the stage at the end of the six-hour party to thank his fans. Michael appeared relaxed and comfortable to be back in front of his fans, and said he is not bitter over the succession of difficulties he has faced in recent years. He stated, "While some have made deliberate attempts to hurt me, I take it in stride because I have a loving family, a strong faith and wonderful friends and fans who have, and continue, to support me."

2009 - Michaels official Sony website MichaelJackson.com creates a new redirect site for his TII concerts , Michaeljacksonlive.com and publishes the following message from Michael: "The Time Has Come! It is now I see and feel that calling once again, to be part of a music that will not just connect but make all feel one, one in joy, one in pain one in love, one in service and in consciousness."
2009 - An exclusive new Michael Jackson commercial showcasing his electric performances over the years and coinciding with his upcoming O2 arena concerts in London, airs on ITV. Michael is the only artist ever to take over an entire ad break.

Fan appreciation day in Japan. To say thank you to all the fans that pour their love and passion for Mr. Jackson into their creative art, Mr. Jackson has inviting fans to attend a “Fan Appreciation Day” event in Tokyo, Japan, to participate in the first Michael Jackson Fan Art Contest. Entries of all kinds are accepted, including oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, sculpture, collage, computer graphics, mixed media, printmaking, and high-quality photographs. All entries will be judged by Mr. Jackson based on, creativity, design, artistic and aesthetic merits.

March 09, 2001: Friday morning, Michael Jackson left London. He didn't fly back to Los Angeles right away as planned. He has now decided to stay in Europe for an undetermined period of time before going back to the USA where he will resume work on his new album.
