The first time I heard will you be there was on the radio in 93. I was at my grandparents place. From the opening bars I got that tingly feeling in my back, when the choir stepped in I got full on goosebumps and by the time Michael’s spoken outro was finished my eyes were red from crying. I was 10 years old and I barely understood English but I felt the meaning of the song. I don’t know if it is normal for a happy ten year old to get touched so much by a song, it made me very sad but I thought it was magical at the same time.

Who else has special stories that you will always remember when you first heard a song?
