I got the idea from @xscape guy 2003

I left out DVD/Blu-ray because we don't know about that yet.

Indicate in your reply if you're going to an IMAX or a regular screening.

Option 1 or 2, don't know yet (no IMAX in my city, just a very large screen). Will probably watch it at least 3 times πŸ˜….

As i said i hope there is a way to get to the premiere. I dont want *celebs* who would not of even give Michael a moment of time in 93 or 2005! Maybe even just after that!

Yes of course I’m gonna go see it 😊 I hope there’s rhinestone glove popcorn buckets! 🍿✨

Definitely going, whether to my local theater or driving to find a nearby Imax. I'm going to get pre-sale tickets for the thursday showing for sure. I am so excited since MJ is my favorite artist and the production value is there.

Nah, biopics are always common-denominator slop. Everything is so dumbed-down to fit typical Hollywood storytelling and "narrative arcs".

I could go to central London to watch it but nah, I'll watch it at home with low expectations anyway.

Love to see it. Big part of the fun is watching other people enjoy it – especially non-fans. Looking forward to that!

 I am not sure and very hesistant on what to really think about the movie right now because it will be sooo damn hard for me to be feeling MICHAEL's life but seeing JAFFAR is sooooo jafar out of reach visually for me!
Like how much imagination-ing am I gonna have to do to watch this entire movie with my mighty Michael Vision while watching Jermaine's son imitate him, it is kinda bringing up real sad feelings for some reason, hence the hesitation!

I do want to support everything good about Michael's legacy, of course but no no one can take the Crown from his head and put it on any other Jackson! This cannot be a promo coronation-ish vehicle for his intro to the spotlight world!!
I will keep my opinions quiet until this day actually comes eeeeeekkkkkkk!!

Hmmm, there is an IMAX theater in my city, but I probably won't be going. I would like to, but my parents don't know anything about it, so yk.

I think you just have to try to watch the movie without any specific expectations. I will go in there and make myself clear: "you're just watching someone tell Michael's story".

When I watched the musical I was totally hyped beforehand. While I was watching it, I didn't really feel anything. The show was spectacular, the dancers were on point, the story well told. And afterwards I asked myself why I couldn't REALLY enjoy it. And I think it's because I expected it to be an experience close to watching Michael perform. But it wasn't, his soul was missing.

And I think I would have enjoyed it more if I went in with a different mindset. (Like I said, the show was great, it was only my way of looking at it).

Also...it was German and that really took away from the experience, didn't even think of that 'til it started πŸ˜‚.

I agree. I felt the same watching MJ the musical. But I still have high hopes for the film and will look forward to it.

Surley it will be a specticle and visually striking - worth watching. Not Michael but hopefully a trip down memory lane(for me).
