Your MJ Book Collections?

who cares about Shmuley?
Well, hardly anyone. That was my point. Most people seem to ignore his words. Those who have read his comments dismiss them as not worth bothering with and recommend focusing on Michael's words alone.

This book is Michael in his own words.
Yes, I know. But there are comments in between from Boteach. @@mjfanatic777 isn't familiar with the book and I merely provided a bit of background detail.

You said you were shocked that no-one on the board seems to have the Boteach book. I offered a possible theory.

No biggie!

My MJ related books

The Unauthorised book is tabloid trash and I only have it because it came in a bundle with Moonwalk, Dancing the dream and magic and the madness.

I also have Remember the time by the bodyguards as an ebook.

So many MJ-centric books catch my attention at first glance, but I take extra care to find ones written by reputable sources- including factoring in sources that are not writing a book as a cash-grab for themselves. The Michael Jackson Tapes is one I want to read, but what I've read about Shmuley makes me take pause about its accuracy.

So far I've enjoyed:
  • Moonwalk
  • Remember the Time: Defending Michael Jackson in his Final days
  • My Friend Michael
  • Untouchable (written by a dude who worked for Rolling Stone if I remember right and I honestly questioned the accuracy of some things. Overall, it felt like the author was unbiased and impartial. If anyone else has read this, I'd love to hear what they think about its accuracy.)
  • Behind the Mask (currently reading this one. It's a study of MJ's body language during some critical and significant interviews and statements (e.g. interviews with Oprah, Diane Sawyer, and his video statement about the 1993 allegations)

Moonwalk by MJ
Man in the Music by Joseph Vogel
All the Songs by uhhh
Xscape Origins and Songs & Stories from the Vault by Damien Shields

Aside from Moonwalk, I have them all on Kindle.

How accurate do you feel Joseph Vogel is? I have his book in my queue to check out and I've seen him interviewed for what seem to be reliable documentaries.

Live and dangerous , and

Michael Jackson: A Visual Documentary 1958-2009

and the original ...... "Michael Jackson - The Visual Documentary" all by Adrian Grant. Can't get any better than Adrian's books

He gets some info and finer details wrong, but he seems mostly reliable. I'd make sure to get the other books to verify whether his info is correct.

From the picture from above, I have Moonwalk, The Magic The Madness, The Whole Story, and the Man In The Music.
