Will camera's be allowed? / Camera advice [ Merged ]

if camera's arnt allowed then just use your phone :) theirs no way they're gonna check every phone to see if anyone's taken pictures

Im personally not gonna take a camera, im just gonna enjoy myself, and they'll be plenty of footage on youtube from people with much better seats than myself
 
yeah I'm not brining the camera with me to every show I'm attending. I wanna enjoy a few shows without stressing with the camera!

BUT will take a few from front row with zoya, AND will take some from opening night as that will be the first time I ever saw him..wanna remember that forever with my own pictures :)

ha ha I doubt you would get away with that... if it's airport style you have to empty your pockets and everything and then go through the metal detector so unless you have a plastic camera, it won't work. If it buzzez they search you with the wand and then pat you down. It would be funny trying to explain why one of your boobs has a square growth on it though LOL.
 
just a note for persons who will record footages...
please dont record few cuts by this song and only 1min on billie jean and 30seconds on other song....
please try to use space for FULL SONGS ;)
its much more interesting :)

Why does not need to recorder Bille Jean?
 
I'm going to bring my camera, it's just a little Nikon Coolpix and i've had it for 7 years, so don't think it'll be a huge loss even if it is confiscated! Will just make sure all my existing pics are on my laptop before i take it to the concert =)
 
U can record video on the digital camera so that's why you might not be able to bring them
 
You can take pocket sized digital cameras, but the o2 site says cameras with a lense bigger than 35mm or professional or professional 'looking' cameras won't be allowed in. My camera isn't professional, but it's too big, so I can't take it. :weeping: And it's the only digital camera I have.

So I have a camera 4,2-24 mm and it is not permitted at the concert?

Both times I've been it has been. You walk through the thingy, get scanned by a hand scanner thingy, your bag gets scanned, then when you actually enter the arena your bag gets searched! Really thorough, but I guess it gives you piece of mind!

What do you mean by lens? Is that the zoom wide?:scratch:I guess it will depend on the ppl that do the search... when i emailed the O2 they just said professional-looking and SLRs not allowed, didn't get any numbers or anything though...

they will NOT let ANY type of "camcorder" into the arena.

Pocket size digital cameras is all - at this stage.

Nothing that looks professional, like an SLR or has a big expendable lens.

The most that personally I think will be able to go in are something like the following
Samsung WB500

^that is my own personal opinion as to what I think they will allow in. Because they still fit in your pocket and do not look professional.

I DO NOT think they will allow in cameras such as

Sony DSC HX1

It is all about what they look like. The bulkiness of the section where your right hand would hold the camera and how the lens looks. Because the WB500 and the TZ6/7 compact to flat they should be allowed. Also they CAN fit in your pocket, and do not look professional.

as what smelly says generally anything thats an SLR/detachable lenses big camera like those above wont be allowed in. most venues have a cloakroom and u will have to leave it there
 
How about sony cyber shot T900..? I have it, can i bring it..? anyway, will they allow a handycam just like MichaelJacksonOne post..? erm...
