I am fotunate to have a few solo MJ vocal tracks which I just listened to again very carefully to compare mike's unique voice characteristics to BN:
My thoughts:
Mike always had the most beautiful annunciation - every single syllable was considered and delivered with precision - it is clearly not so with BN
His vibrato is so incredibly silky smooth -the Vib on BN sounds just like teddy puts it - as if someone is patting/thumping the singer on his back - I cannot think of any artiste whose fundamental voice/vib characteristics changed in this way over the years - vib just doesn't change in this way.

Sony didn't admit ANYTHING, nothing 100% confirmed. Just 'news' from a insider here is not what i call confirmed. Officially Sony hasn't admitted SHIT!!!

I'm sorry...but that's simply how it is.

LNFSG = Love Never Felt So Good.

We just abbreviate song titles to make things easier, it's quite convenient. xD

the video says it isnt available no more :/ Im just very confused about the whole thing, was hoping the acapella would help me make my mind up but apparently im not allowed to hear it lol

OK for me if they have small parts of different songs from MJs archive. But just TELL US that, TELL us they needed to have another singer to "complete" the song. Don't tell us its MJ if it's NOT! TELL the truth, and I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to get this piece of HIStory! Just don't lie to me. Can't stand that!

Sony has not admitted this. Smooth's source has. What happens internally is very different from what they'll admit to publicly.

Had MJ recorded background vocals and recorded some music too and did they update it with new production?

For years I had hoped Michael would release music without references to how they treated him, the press, allegations and stuff (although I like his 'angry' songs :). That's why I don't understand The Estate. Why choose such a song as a lead to this much anticipated release? People should remember his musical talent, not all the controversy. And certainly not with a track that is controversial by itself.

Is it just me, or does anyone else sometimes have a hard time in trying to remember how 'Breaking News' goes even though it's been played on repeat? When I actively try to remember it, it takes me longer than usual...my brain has to go through a bunch of songs before I land on the tune.

I went to sleep because I grew sick off arguing about it with people who thought it was Michael.

I am glad Smooth's post is their to give further credability to the arguement that its not Michael. But tbh it didnt confirm anything to me, simply because I couldnt be more sure that it isnt Michael singing the main vocals on that song.

From the first listen yesterday morning, every instinct in my body said to me....this isnt Michael.

Even as early as Sunday night I was starting to have suspicions that it would end up being Michael on the song, I still expected it to be Michael. But I woke up to find my suspicions were right. Here is my post from Sunday night:

Was this a Cascio track? I afraid all of them are fake. I have no idea how on Earth someone has convinced Sony those are real. Sony should know Michael somehow. I would say this is Cascio's fault, not Sony's. So, plain and simple, just take all the Cascio's out from the tracklist and I wouldn't mind if it's 10 or 11 tracks only. It's much better than having a fake album...

I will NEVER believe that Michael is singing that song...acapella or not...Listen to the voice...it's FORCED..he's trying his mightiest to sound like Michael...Michael's voice comes out so smoothly, effortlessly....You can't mistake that...And the EMOTION...i feel NOTHING from this song...To me, it's just another catchy song...Cut and pasted ...It's a mess...There are a few ad libs that are his, clearly from the original ROUGH demo, and maybe some ad libs thrown in there from other songs....Come on now...This man has been singing since the age of 5...publicly since the age of 9....even non-fans can tell this song is NOT him....His voice will go down as one of the most unique, distinct voices on the planet....

Right after listening to the full song (not acapella)...I was just empty inside...Then I was listening to MJtunes, and Privacy came on, not one of my faves...But listening to that song...I literally melted right into it...was lost in Michael's voice, and the overall production of the song...THAT'S how I know this vile track is NOT Michael...

Michael's voice will always remind me to trust my instincts....That's how powerful, special, and magical his voice is....When I don't hear that (or better yet, FEEL that)...I know it's not him

Same here. Actually what pops up in my mind immediately all over again now is DYKWYCA. That tune sounds awesome and so catchy!

I know exactly what you mean. It's very easy to pick up and hum along. But it's also very forgettable.

You know, I still believe this is a stunt. Probably Sony released this to test the audience? Not to fool fans, but show to the world, there WON'T be fake tracks in the future, because his fans know how he sounds.. That must be also why Sony just let people talk..
