Murray Trial- Day 13- October 19th Discussion

Watching HLN while waiting for the trial to start. I really dislike the guest defence attorney, Lauren Lake. She is definitely on Murray's corner, saying MJ is an addict and responsible for his own death and how good Murray is, SIGH... I hope MJ fans give her shit!!!

Perhaps she will love to have Murray as her personal physician and put her out and save us the misery!

How can the medical board still allows it now that they have heard of the 6 or more "gross and severe negligent" by Murray!

back to going through shaffers qualifactions. shaffers on another board that he forgot to mention before a world renowned board about anesthetic.showing a copy of the journal hes editor of that they produce every month with 40 articles, research articles, commentries etc

talking about the packaging the warning notes. difference betwen ICU sedation and MAC sedation is that paitents need to be sedated for a long period of time sometimes days to weeks 12 hrs on 12hrs off sedation in ICU. paitent who gets a small operation on their hand has local anesthetic u are sleepy for an hour or so thats called MAC sedation.

showing an article he wrote about diprivan. the article involved research of volunteers. 3 questions were asked. pharmoconetics ie the movement of drugs. does the drug move diff in fat or thin ppl or men or women. whats the influence of gender age and weight. the study created the amounts that should be given to diff ppl. created the mathmatics

another article the influence of age on diprivan. same paitents as above trial. pharmaco dynamics ie the power of the drug. how does that effect men women etc but mostly concentrated on age. how does the power of the drug effect ppl of diff ages ie an old person

another article 2 papers above brought together into one paper. but added in are ICU paitents diff interms of the amount they need because of how ill they are

hes done the same investigations as above in loraz and midaz aswell. created the same type of mathematical rules for that aswell.. what the diff between iv loraz compaired to midaz in ICU paitents

done the same for lidocaine aswell mathamatical model doses of lidocane used a device to admin lidocaine the remote comp the hospital drs talked about

shaffers own research basically created all the rules. hes published more than 160 papers. 50 book chapters.speeks at conferences nationally and internationally. since jan this year hes spoken at events in china chile canada scotland liverpool israel.

teaches courses aswell to scientist how to come up with the models to predict dosages and concentrations and the time frame and what will happen to the paitent during that timeframe ie how the drug will effect the paitent.
 
I see Doctor White taking notes behind Walgren. I still don't understand why he is willing to help Murray. Frankly, he should be disgusted by Murray's behaviour.

Just seen on skynews website that Judge has said that most of the proposal video will be shown to the jury.
 
testifñying pro-bono, he is not charging. He has not charged for testifying in medical malpractice for the last 10 years.
 
hes a practicing dr and anethesiologist (sp) saying where hes worked etc active for 25 years as an anethesiologist fellowship at stamford. since july hes been in theatre 26 days as an anethesiologist. very important for him to be actively working to keep upto date on everything

dr is charging NO FEES to work in this case hes working pro bono. why? asks walgren? he hasnt charges for 10 years was involved in a case 10 years ago where the other side was misrepresenting the case cause he was getting paid. he doesnt think its right to charge and make money of a death or mal practice and he doesnt want ppl to think hes only saying what hes been paid to say on the stand so he doesnt charge in any cases he works on. this case he didnt charge because of 3 reasons. worried about drs being seen in a bad light cause of this case as an anethesiologist seeing sedation being given in the wrong way he felt a need to present how an anethesiologist should work so paitents arent scared. loads of paitents hes sees says you arent gonna give me the drug that killed mj are you it happens daily. he says diprivan is a safe great drug if given properly and hes upset cause of this case that its scaring paitents so he wants to help set the record straight that the problem is the way it was given not the actual drug its self

Mid-morning break will be taken now, and will be a little bit longer than usual.
 
The video is supposed to be a demonstration of proper proposal use. Court was late as the defence initially objected to this being shown but looks like the judge has allowed it (most of it) to be shown.
 
Prosecution is setting up the credentaials, the character and how knowledgable Dr.Schafer is in the field so that others (ie. Dr White) who may be brought in by defense to challenge him will be scruntenised very closely by the Jury.
