I'm still stuck on the mysterious unidentified track #3. All we have so far are tiny hints: voice sounds like early to mid 80s / mid-tempo / kinda love song

I must agree on this one. It's been too long since MJ hasn't released an in-your-face album. Now there is clearly a huge potential to do so.

I vote that they release Love Never Felt So Good first.

Why? Because that's hands down the weakest track on the album, even if John McClain spiced it up a bit. And while it will probably get some positive reviews, I'm sure critics will say, "This album is shaping up to be pretty boring if this is all they have to offer." (Well, critics who weren't in attendance at any of the listening parties will say that.)

Then they release Do You Know Where Your Children Are. And everyone shuts up.

Slave should be first single IMO since it's garnered so many YouTube views for that phone commercial.. People wanna hear the full Song already why not give them what they want and then release a summer love song (LNFSG?)...

In my opinion the first single should be the strongest song on the album. So Chicago.

Michael is not with us anymore. This can be no 'slow burner'. The first single needs to hit with a "BOOOOM!!!"

I think having the singles chart would be better than the album charting well, because this would make Michael more well known, so it's very important us fans buy the singles!

I would still go just for track n°3. The two others would be a bit overdriving.

Feeling like I am probably the only person here that likes LNFSG :-( Can't wait to hear the updated version even though I love the original!

Maybe not lyrically great (Anka is a bit middle of the road), I just feel Michaels vocal performance is really quite strong! Xx

Maybe SONY should insert some Chuck Norris's vocals on the first song. it would make it strong.

It's a posthumous album; of course the estate isn't going to follow the Michael Jackson guide book to a T. It is actually a nice change of pace when the album doesn't begin with a fast song. On Michael we opened calmly with Hold My Hand and were thrown in to Hollywood Tonight. Here, we start with Love Never Felt So Good and head into what some people say is the best song Michael's done in years.

I want them to pick the song that makes the best impact and people will take notice. To come out strong and show the world that this is Michael Jackson. I just want people to enjoy it especially non fans or casual fans because I feel they need to be reached out to and see Michael beyond the 80s for some. Michael always looked to the future and hopefully people can see that too.

I am however afraid that they make up their minds and decide not to release the first single, but that they release the second single instead.

But that was the 80's. It's 2014 now and times have changed. Also people now a days seem to have the attention span of a goldfish. So a strong, upbeat song is needed for the 1st single to catch people's attention

I think he also did it because the radios would have played the duets anyway as first singles due to people's curiosity and requests. So, if there is a duet on this new album, then maybe it would be better to play it first to so to say anticipate people's curiosity and requests. However, I must admit that I am impatient and that personally I'd prefer that they start right away with a bomb hit.

I hope the myterious track, is from the BAD era and not Thriller or Off The Wall, for me I believe his vocals sound to young, they might get away with it with LNFSG, but not on another track. BAD era would suit perfectly for the more mature sound in his voice. Please let it be unheard :angel:
