Thriller 40th Anniversary

it's most likely no doubt he is talking about estate and maybe sony... i mean they didn't allow them to use any music...
there is literally no good reason why the estate/sony should be against it and denie the use of music etc..
the fact they still try to block it proves that they are zero interested in quality-products and in MJs legacy...

I told yall the have something against him. I feel they murdered him. They hated him & still hate him. No way the do us like this!

Funny how people still think McClain has a say in there. My guy is like a younger brother when your mom had you let him play along and you'd give him an unplugged joystick smh
🤣🤣🤣🤣this is exactly what this is!

Guys, where can I watch the Sonic Fantasy documentary? I must have missed this one
It hasn't been made publicly available outside of the Spanish streaming service he mentioned in his Tweet. He did have a private upload of it on Vimeo several months ago and would only give the link to those that PM'd him on social media. That's how a lot of people saw it. Not sure if it would still work now.

If the Estate are the people he's talking about then that's pretty damn sad. I personally thought it was people in the industry that just don't like Michael and/or were influenced by LN, but the Estate probably would make more sense.

Ah okey I see. No wonder why I couldn’t find it anywhere. Do you know if someone was able to rip it from Vimeo?

No idea, haven't tried to check. I think most people kept the link/upload confidential out of respect to Marcos, but then again, this is the internet...

Or mentions of Vincent Price, Michael Peter's who help choreograph 1 of the most famous dance routines either
Since you mentioned them, also worth noting Vince Patterson is nowhere to be seen either.

They need to make the Thriller 25 Documentary available. It needs to be accessible. It has a lot of different details I think.

this is totally crazy!!

The platform they put it on is cool to me. [I only did the trial 8 days ] Watched GoodBurger[2!] straight after . and ...episode after episode of Kenan & Kel i am always up for them. [ john knows, cos i got too excited and spilled orange soda all over his new suit. on first look of m's film.]
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I just realized after watching again that it's so many outtakes yet they mentioned only Carousel

The only outtake they talked about was Carousel, and all they had to say about it was how Human Nature outshined it completely and took its spot on Thriller.
It's a nice throwback to how Carousel was the only Thriller outtake that made it to the Special Edition in 2001.

It could've been worse. They could've talked about For All Time.

I bumped into this story by someone (anonymous) on Quora, sort of on topic:

I worked as a producer on the set of Thriller back in 1982. There was so much drama and emotion behind the scenes, it was a miracle if we were able to shoot even 1 scene a day. Even 38 years later, I still look back and laugh at wild those times could be.
  • During the shooting of Thriller, Michael was very highly strung, emotional, bratty, & stressed. He would often have fits of anger or run to the bathroom crying, saying he would “never be able to get it [the video] done”. To be frank, Michael was quite a crybaby during it.
  • Michael once sobbed uncontrollably in a corner of the hotel room for 45 minutes all because he didn’t like the pants of his costume. It took 3 people to console him.
  • Whenever Joseph was on set, he would repeatedly say or do things he knew would upset Michael, such as taunting him to make him scream or yelling at him to make him cry.
    • Although these would usually be nothing more than inconviences, there were a few times Joseph would actually screw things up. One instance was when he chose to hit Michael 2 minutes before he had to be on set. Michael cried, causing his make up to run. The make up artist got fed up & yelled at him, leading to more tears. Michael was at least an hour late that day.
  • When Michael wasn’t crying or screaming, he was extremely hyper. Somebody gave him a soda one day & Michael was a ball of energy. Nobody could get him to sit still for even 2 minutes since he would get up from the make up chair whenever he felt like it. To make matters worse, he crashed by the time they got him on set & he spent the whole day sleeping on a chair.
  • John Landis once ran to the dollar store and bought Michael a red, plastic necklace just to keep him happy so they could get some work done that day.
  • They’d sometimes give Michael a coloring book & some crayons to keep him busy while they did his hair, since he was very fidgety and prone to boredom.
  • However, there were good times on Thriller. I went on a walk with Michael, Ola, & Joseph once & Michael was surprisingly good. When he wasn’t being annoying, he could be quite fun. He spent most of the walk making jokes and giggling to himself.
