Brooke Shields talks about her relationship with Michael

It makes sense to me if Michael called her during his trial to comfort her.
He got something else to think about for a moment.

well I wish he would've hired a real anesthesiologist who knew what the hell they were doing. Murray lied to MJ and told him he knew what to do when he didn't and he killed him. I wish MJ would've sought out real help from a real sleep specialist.

I understand your point, and of course i agree with it, but still, if it wasn't Murray administering, it would have been another, like there have been others before Murray...

It is good that she stressed she did not want anything from him, because back in the day when she appeared with Michael on the award's show, many people said she wanted to strengthen her career even further and that she did not really care for Michael. Brooke no doubt knew about this, and I guess she wanted to set the record straight here.
 
I think Tom Messereau mentioned that during the trial that Michael was concerned about someobody (not Brooke) I kept remember who he said and it amazed him because all of what Michael was going through. That was the kind of person he was. It makes me sad how good he treated people and how badly he was treated in return. I don't know how much contact they had over the years. I just hope she is sincere.

And this words "I never wanted anything from him" after Michael's words about her (about that moment when they could be much closer but he deviated) sound a bit ridiculous. :cheeky:

Yeap. I think a lot of stars say things that go along with the views of the hosts they are talking to, which is a shame. However, I guess they want to feel that they are part of the current way of thinking.

Yes thats true. From reading his book Michael very much wanted to be with Brooke. This was back in the 80's when she was very popular for her looks. She was in every fashion magazine. Also Brooke had gone through that horrible court case with her mother. She cried every day in court and it was heartbreaking to watch this young girl weeping and the reports all around like vultures. Michael no doubt knew how she felt and would have empathy for all those horrible feelings that she went through The relationship did not work and that was a long time ago.

PS: I see we have a new picture under our names.

Yeah and if it had been another mj would still be here.so your and brookes point is? and what others? because you act like mj was taking it non stop for years. there was the reports of ratner doing it during the history tour but that was never confirmed and is based on the info from the lawsuit. the problem with such comments is that is what haters say in order to blame mj for what happened and to take away murrays responsibility . because such ppl are probably clueless of the facts of the case and what murray did and think that taking it is lethal in itself when as ive said before the only reason mj is not here is because of murrays lies greed and thinking it was more important to chat your girlfriends up than watch your paitent. if it had been another dr i doubt that would have happened and you and i would be non the wiser. but to have sheilds or anyone else who claims to be a friend say that is the same as them p****** on mjs grave

tbh shes hardly gonna admit it even if she was just using him or being pushed by her mother. if she had anything about her she wouldnt have even been at the memorial let alone speak.she would have told the jacksons this aint the 80's anymore .sums it up that they asked her.always been living in the 80's the family and just more evidence of how clueless they were about his life

I personally don't think Michael was in love with her (she was in love with Diana Ross at the time) and I don't think anyone forced him to take Brooke with him as his date. If Brooke "used" Michael, perhaps one could accuse him of "using" her as well. But I don't see it as "using" on either part. They were friends, no more, no less. They can go to an award show together if they want, without any of them being accused of being a "user", don't they? Let's not forget Michael kept taking her to award shows for as long as until 1993. He also brought Brooke up in interviews as one of the "love of his life". I don't think anybody forced him to do that.

Yes its known they had a lasting friendship and Michael did love her. They just grew a part over the years probably due to her mariage, his marriage having children to raise and their careers. I dont think they had a falling out it just happens in many friendships. You move on with your life. If you happen meet up again the love is still there. Its obvious by their own words they both still had a fondness for each other regardless of the time that seperated them.
 
Michael has said he was in love with her, and see said in Rolling Stone Magazine that Michael proposed to her twice. I can't see what she saw in George Michael and her ex husband Andre Aggasi that she didn't see in Michael. Mind boggling!!!
 
Nothing against Shields nice that she can talk about Michael without using his memory as a way to remind us shes still about, those who knew Michael could learn alot from her.

And who knows what goes on in the heart of another? And who knows the other's feelings? (In this case > Michael) Love and all these things of the heart, ONLY Michael could talk about it, what was going on in your heart, ONLY Michael knew about his real feelings, nobody else.

Elusive thank you, so many of us have brought up these points so many times and it has been 2 years + since his death, and I have the feeling that we will have to continue stressing these points on this forum for many years to come.
 
I was curious to see if Brooke spoke more about Mike in the Johnathan Ross interview that aired on Friday.


Brooke does goes into MORE about her relationship in that interview.


-She said the LAST time she was spoke to Michael was when her children were born and Michael called her and send her flowers. How's sweet. She said he did that because it's what she and Michael always talked about, her always wanting to have children.


-JR asked her if Mike proposed to her and Brooke said "NO" (like it wasn't true what she said after Michael died). Mike gave her a beautiful ring and Brooke said "What does this mean, you wanna ask me a question" and Michael said "No, I just want you to know & look at it". She said he would say things like that "Just look how beautiful it is and just know that I love you".


-She also said it never really crossed over into that^^.


-She said it was safer for Mike to say that she was his girlfriend. He was fine with her like she was gonna protect him.
