Here we have another article that needs our action; however, we are addressing it differently than our standard of directly defending and protecting Michael’s legacy. Our efforts will certainly support our mission, but indirectly. What we would like everyone to do is to respond to this article to validate and highlight Martin Bashirs lack of Journalism Ethics. Please refer below a high-level explanation of what took place and as well as the link to the actual article. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Martin Bashir was being interviewed by MSNBC's Contessa Brewer as a so called "expert" on the upcoming royal wedding. During the interview, he announced to the whole world that Contessa Brewer was expecting a child without her consent or knowledge. It took her by surprise, as she had not gone public yet with an announcement, which after all is hers to make. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
His actions completely blindsided her and was completely unethical and insensitive. By responding to this article, it is another opportunity to let MSNBC know what you think of him by leaving your comments. There are plans to eventually gather all comments from the various sites in order to present a packet to MSNBC executives. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
As always, please respond with intelligent, non-emotional and respectful comments regarding Martin Bashir’s method of reporting (i.e. disrespectful, rude, insensitive, sensationalistic, etc.). Once again, he has chosen to disregard any journalism code of ethics; all in the name of getting a story. <o:p></o:p>

We also posted this in the Fans Take Action thread: http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/threads/115532-ACTION-REQUESTED-Martin-Bashir-–-AGAIN-displays-his-LACK-of-Journalism-Ethics?p=3350440#post3350440<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
As always, we sincerely appreciate your assistance to defend, protect, preserve and Michael’s legacy. This could not be done without you.<o:p></o:p>

Dear MJJC Family,

We have another interesting article which we are asking you to respond to. Please see below:

What: A publicity stunt
Who: Murray's team
When: Days before the trial begins
Where: On a plane, in public sight (again!)
Why (Our perception): To influence jury members to Murray's favor by planting a seed of doubt about his guilt.
How: By spreading the story across the media

This CBS article gives Conrad Murray credit for "saving the life" of a fellow passenger on a flight; however, this person required no further medical attention upon landing. Ironically, CBS doesn’t report any of the good things that Michael did during his lifetime; makes one wonder doesn’t it? We have to ask ourselves or anyone else for that matter, does this deserve to be reported when Conrad Murray was so unethical and incompetent in his care of Michael nearly 2 years ago? If you recall, within the last 6 months – 12 months, a similar story was reported. How many times will a story like this be planted to try and change the perception of Conrad Murray? It appears that Conrad Murray’s PR machine is in high gear. What do you think?

Please leave your comments at the following link. Please remember to be respectful with your comments. Link to article:

As always, we thank you for your assistance with defending, protecting, preserving and honoring Michael’s legacy.

GUIDELINES TO BE REVIEWED BEFORE THE TRIAL AND ARTICLE TO BE ADDRESSED

Dear MJJC Family,

In light of the upcoming trial and the multitude of irresponsible articles that we expect to flood the outlets, please consider reviewing the following link before the trial. It provides some useful information regarding Murray's culpability in Michael's death. We want to be able to respond authoritatively to the media at that time, so this should help prepare you to write the most effective comments.

http://sprocket-trials.blogspot.com/2011/01/dr-conrad-murrays-death-drip-explained.html

During the trial, there are two particular users who blog very effectively who people may wish to follow in order to keep up with the trial.

Ignorant Article to be adressed

This ill-informed writer may need a little help with factual information provided by you. Under a facade of compassion she says Murray shouldn't be held responsible for his role in Michael's death. She doesn't even have her facts straight, claiming that Michael's fingerprints were found on "the" syringe. It's detrimental to us all when such writers put out misleading articles like this:

http://www.nyunews.com/opinion/2011/04/28/28gonzalez/

Some highlights that may help you draft your comments:

Mr. Jackson is the unfortunate here for not receiving the standard of care he deserved.
It would be wise to wait for the case to unfold during trial before jumping into hasty conclusions.
Autopsy suggested Mr. Jackson had no drugs in his system except the ones administered by Conrad Murray.
On numerous occasions the media, especially tabloids, antagonize the victim (Mr. Jackson) by framing the news according to Conrad Murray's defense.

Please remember our key success points:

be polite

be factual and persuasive

do not use fan names

do not make it personal

Thank you for taking the time to review and respond.

Kind regards,

KATHERINE JACKSON CITES UNCONFIRMED ARTICLE EXONERATING MICHAEL JACKSON'S MOLESTATION CHARGES

http://www.tvguide.com/News/Katheri...=breakingnews&partnerid=worldnow&profileid=01

It is very important that we massively endorse Katherine's case. Here's what we can do:

1. Comment on the above article in a polite manner without fan names.

2. Provide the facts as stated in the links below and not an unconfirmed source:

Thank you for alerting us Kasume.
This is entirely disgusting. Ignorance and irresponsibility lie in the roots of such posts. And sadly, they contribute to forming a false public perception.
Yesterday I had a long discussion with a friend about the same topic and towards the end she had reconsidered all her previous beliefs and misconceptions.
Correct information is the base of any change. We will work out a way to address this issue.

Hello MJJC Family,

We have another negative program relating to Michael that we need to your assistance with. It has come to our attention that the Biography channel is planning on airing Martin Bashir’s documentary, “Living with Michael Jackson”. This time the program is scheduled to air on the Biography channel in Australia on June 23, 2011. We are asking everyone to respond and respectfully request that they do not air this program

In addition to requesting that Bashir’s documentary be removed from the schedule, we also recommend that you request that they air an alternative program called “The Footage You Were Never Meant to See”.

Dear Viewer,

Thank you Lindsey. This is due tomorrow, and oh how devastating it is.
I believe you got a standard response their pr team has prepared in advance for all the negative reactions from MJ fans.
You can't all imagine how proactive pr teams get nowadays.
I think it's about time we create a full pr task force for Michael and do the same.

Re: MJJC Legacy Project - E-Mail Alerting System

A lot of articles flooding the media during and after 2nd anniversary. Nearly all of them are wonderful but they all deserve our comments.

Can we ask you all to comment here (as casual visitors) please?

We want to do everything we can to support a positive meme about Michael--we're in the business of getting his public image back to where it should be--and more articles like these are very much needed!

HipHop Wired has a wonderful article about Michael's humanity here:

http://hiphopwired.com/2011/06/25/remembering-michael-jackson-the-global-humanitarian/

Please offer them support and appreciation for the truth!

This article also deserves support from us:

While this article at CNN needs to have comments that support Michael because of a hater presence there:

http://edition.cnn.com/2011/SHOWBIZ/Music/06/25/california.michael.jackson/index.html?hpt=hp_c2

The following are articles that all need comments.

CBS News has Diane Dimond commenting on Michael Jackson as though she were qualified to do so:

Roger Friedman of Showbiz 411 thinks Michael is better off out of the picture:

We are sure you have seen the other posts about the Aaron Carter story in the News and Announcements section of the forum, but we are also posting here and we need for people to take action immediately.

MJJC&#8217;s official statement has been posted in the following link, but I&#8217;ve also included it here as well.

http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/t...Barrak-Story?p=3425519&viewfull=1#post3425519

Also, below is a link where the article appeared with an update from TMZ.
http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/60677956.html

Story:

On 29 May, 2011 90s pop singer Aaron Carter filmed an interview with freelance 'journalist' and friend Daphne Barrak for OK Australia magazine's 27 June edition. The article and excerpts that have been released have spread rapidly across all media for one reason - it involves Michael Jackson.

Carter&#8217;s friendship - and we use that word loosely - with Jackson is not in question. However, the Michael Jackson fan community strongly rejects the elements of the story that suggest and imply that Mr Jackson gave Aaron Carter drugs or alcohol or would have acted in any way improperly with him.

Indeed, the fan community finds it puzzling that Mr. Carter would give this kind of interview, after all the years of defending Mr. Jackson (even as recently as 2010). He spoke highly of Jackson&#8217;s influence on his life and his work and strongly denied that anything inappropriate had occurred between them (see Howard Stern interview:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtURi...layer_embedded).

Rebuttal Points:

As for the claims made by Carter, they can be debunked not only by what he said previously and consistently. In fact, Aaron Carter was on the witness list for the defense in the 2005 trial.

They can also be refuted by those who were there: "I saw Michael leave for just a few minutes to wash of that cake, he was later zipping on a glass of wine, and he never finished it. They were out driving around the ranch with the fourwheelers and we were many out there having a laugh about it. when talking to Michael he said he didn´t even know half of the people being there but he loved that the fans could be there. When he finally left the party after driving around the ranch, he was alone except for one security guy. he invited a few (I was among them) into the house, we were there for about an hour. He left for his bedroom and didn´t ask us to leave, it was more like "enjoy yourself, I trust you". And there were no Aaron Carter anywhere to be found in that house during that night. he´s taken care off by Tucker I think, I didn´t see him after the drive around the ranch. So much more happened, but not a single minute was Michael out of sight except when he cleaned up himself."

Additionally, the points listed below can also be used as a rebuttal to this story.

Carter's Video Interview
2005: As an adolescent, Carter is relaxed and open
2011: As an adult, Carter is markedly uncomfortable

Carter's Financial Situation
2005: successful and thriving
2011: owes the IRS $1 million (+/-)

Carter's Career Track
2005: successful and thriving (was he?)
2011: struggling and striving

Carter's Health
2005: seemingly unaffected by drug use
2011: recently discharged from drug rehab

Frank Cascio who maintained a friendship with Michael Jackson tweeted "I knew Michael for over 25 year and NEVER once did he use cocaine or suggest to anyone else to use cocaine. Never!!!!" (http://twitter.com/#!/fdcascio/status/86547254990733312).

In light of this and other evidence, the Michael Jackson fan community is questioning the motive for this seeming change of heart and story.

The timing of the interview is also suspect. In June millions around the world mourn the passing of Mr Jackson and those with even the remotest connection to him seem to find it an ideal time to promote a book, CD or project. Aaron Carter&#8217;s willingness to jump on that bandwagon is disappointing but not surprising. He has said, through his representative, that he was misquoted in the article. However, in watching the edited excerpts of the interview, it is clear that Mr. Carter's answers allowed for speculation and innuendo.

Carter's denial is now being widely reported. But more needs to be done. Mr Carter must demand a full retraction from OK magazine, if it is indeed misrepresenting what he said. But as the story continues to unfold it becomes clear that the Carter camp have seen the benefits of tying his name in a negative way to Mr Jackson&#8217;s and is taking full advantage.

This story had been circulating for two weeks and some concerned Jackson fans had reached out to Aaron Carter, as early as 15 June, only to be rebuffed and ignored. An official and strong statement of denial would have halted this story in its tracks. This is what that an honourable person would do in love and respect for a friend and mentor who has died. However, the speculation and insinuations were allowed to linger . And the only person who has been damaged in this debacle is Mr Jackson who is not here to defend himself . All of the others who are involved have been able to raise their profiles on his back.

Furthermore, it is disturbing that we live in a time when our media is willing to copy and paste a story without first verifying its accuracy and veracity. No one attempt to check the accuracy or veracity. Now that there has a denial of some aspects of the interview, we can only hope that there will a more rigorous screening process before stories are aired or published, especially when the source is a tabloid and the author has a questionable reputation (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9Dz7rs8VfA).

Call to Action:

We call on all Michael Jackson fans to boycott the magazine and to express their opinion to the editors of OK magazine and to Daphne Barak (the author). Fans also need to let their sources of news and information know that they are no longer interested in uncorroborated, salacious stories. Please be respectful, not confrontational and sincere with your responses. We need to appeal to these outlets from a concerned consumer perspective, not a fan perspective.

Michael Jackson was defamed and maligned in life, his fans are committed and determined to see that this defamation does not continue in death.

As always, the MJJC Legacy Project Media Advocacy Team thanks you for your willingness to help defend, protect, preserve and honor Michael&#8217;s legacy. Also, thank you TheChosenOne for drafting and posting the MJJC official statement.

Re: ACTION REQUIRED: Rebuttal to Aaron Carter interview with Daphne Barrak at OK Magazine

I hope you will not mind. I am posting the "ACTION REQUIRED: Rebuttal to Aaron Carter interview with Daphne Barrak at OK Magazine" Information to Forums outside the USA. Will inform those who do not know of MJJC and the Legacy Project email system. Easier for the English speaking to access this site, received information directly.

Due to AC's past support of MJ and my affection for that, I actually believed he was a victim of Barak and backed him against the Fans. The man's character is the boy's.

He cannot be allow to set up a case where he gets to sue due to his addiction or purported "hidden" emotional problems using false claims Michael did something to him or was the cause. "IF" that is his intent.

Thank you Dialdancer. This mission statement is an opportunity for more fans around the globe to act upon it and be made aware of the MJJC Legacy Project.
I guess only time will tell about this case. If AC is indeed Barak's victim it would only make sense that he sues. My personal feeling is that he won't, as there are many gray zones in this interview and purportedly there were videos to back it up. We all know how far people are willing to go exploiting Michael's name for publicity and easy money.

ACTION REQUIRED: Rebuttal and Appraisal Projects

Dear MJJC family,

We have been alerted to the following list of projects which we believe are worthy of our attention and addressing.

Project #1

Here are two opportunities to comment favorably on M. Poetica, a book by an academic about Michael Jackson's creative expression and artistic message.

Sadly, the author was unable to find a publisher for the book and it is only available electronically. Showing support for this kind of work may eventually allow publishers to see that scholarly, insightful efforts on the subject of MJ are very welcome and will sell.

Project #2

Schmuley Boteach invokes the name of Michael Jackson again:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2011/jul/05/michael-jackson-rabbi-tabloid-life

It's not that some of what he says here is not valid. It's that he blames Michael for not handling celebrity and fame very well. In actuality Michael handled his fame quite nicely when he was treated as a human being, because he was an especially wonderful one.

Psychologists like Shmuley Boteach blame Michael's media woes on Michael himself, or on the fact that he was so famous.

There are some thoughtful comments on this blog. We may be able to foster ongoing discussion by commenting here about the media's role in the torture of those who find themselves in the public eye--through the world of politics, sports, entertainment, or the criminal justice system.

Project #3

In this blog there are so many misconceptions about Michael that it gives us an opportunity to set the record straight.
The author is Professor Fred Zindi of the University of Zimbabwe. Let's respectfully correct him and not allow his rant to be part of the permanent negative internet meme. Apparently much is lost in translation, especially when tabloids are the filter.

http://allafrica.com/stories/201107050259.html

Stated misconceptions to be addressed:

Michael himself did strange things in his life, which can be described as weird, hence the nickname "W-J"

There are many weird situations about his life that it would be impossible to mention all of them in this limited space.

After attaining solo superstardom, he developed an inferiority complex about being black.

At an early age, he was said to be filled with self-revulsion that he began to hate his own kind by employing only white people as his stage crew.

He felt that he was too dark and developed a colour complex.

He then embarked on a mission of self-annihilation by means of dilution into a white gene pool.

He changed his skin color and the shape of his nose.

His inability to reconcile two opposing cultures forced him to pay white sperm donors so that he could have white children.

Both these children are white. This explains that Jackson could not have been the biological father.

On June 25th 2009 just two weeks before his "This Is It" concerts were due to start, Michael Jackson died suddenly of a reported cardiac arrest which was triggered by drug abuse.

Project #4

This is a proposal to support scholarly work inspired by Michael, and by extension further vindication efforts.

We'd like to gather a good handful of "Likes" on this college professor's art series inspired by Michael Jackson. Her name is Constance Pierce. We want to enhance her proposal for a "special focus" version of her "Imaging Journal: The Journey Inward" course that would feature the art, writing, and humanitarian work of Michael Jackson, and would also include an introduction to some of Michael's favorite artists, writers, composers etc.

This "special focus" section featuring Michael's art/music/writings would be quite inspiring, and is Pierce's way of honoring his artistry and legacy. She would also hope to incorporate readings from Joe Vogel's upcoming new book, as well as *Dancing the Dream* and other sources.

Dear MJJC Family,

Weeks before the trial begins, our community needs to be proactive to ensure fair and unbiased media coverage and prevent the worse from happening. We need to speak up because Diane Dimond is scheduled to rule the airwaves during the Murray trial. DD is embedded as Jackson Expert in the media population's perception and they don't question it after 20 years. It will take work and perseverance to crack this false persona and show media that there are far more appropriate and competent people to do the job.

Let’s voice our objections to the selection of Diane Dimond for participation in a discussion about journalistic integrity, balance and fairness in reporting criminal trials. We all know she is a big part of the problem rather than the solution, so she is the least qualified person for discussing either the topic of "fairness" or the topic of "Michael Jackson.”

Once again, we are reaching out to our MJJC family for assistance. It is important for us to note that we not only need to address stories about Michael, but we need to also address stories about humanity as well. We are at a time where there is so much going on in the world. It can&#8217;t be ignored any longer. With that said the Media Advocacy team works with other advocacy groups in an effort to help that our voices be heard and work to change the narrative of humanity. When we see a story that is identified by another group, we will certainly pass it onto our MJJC family so you can help. The story referenced below is one such story.

As always, the MJJC Legacy Project team appreciates your willingness to help in our efforts to honor Michael&#8217;s legacy and make that change.

(STORY)
Who: Rupert Murdoch, owner, News Corporation

What: Unfolding developments at News of the World and its owner, News Corporation

Where: All over the world

When: Now is the time

Why: Rupert Murdoch's various tabloid publications were INSTRUMENTAL in the destruction of Michael Jackson's personal reputation. The story is that News of the World was the first tabloid to inject "Wacko Jacko" into the collective consciousness of the world, to the direct detriment of Michael's peace of mind, through hideously salacious headlines.

It's not necessary or advisable to mention Michael Jackson in your comments at this time. There will be plenty of opportunities for future comments to inure to the benefit of Michael and his family. At this time, we must play our cards right and utilize our individual power to communicate through our comments to influential sources at (1) some of the largest newspapers in the world; (2) politicians; (3) Internet buzz analysts and (4) members of the public.

Please Google and follow the story of the implosion of New Corporation and comment as often and as widely as possible. To efficiently comment, compose a message that can be posted to just about any story out there about this scandal. For example: (Please do not copy the exact comment)

Apologies abound from News Corporation, but the practical reality is that now is the time to purge the world of the evil influence of Rupert Murdoch. If entire countries (Egypt, Syria, Libya), long held hostage, can excise its evil, society can reject Murdoch's hideous control of practically the entire English-speaking world's media.

If you value an independent media comprised of ethical and responsible journalists, you can do your part by not purchasing or patronizing anything controlled by News Corporation. Here's a complete list of News Corporation holdings.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_Corporation

Please do your part. There will likely never be another opportunity to have your voice so widely heard.

Thank you for your efforts toward the vindication of Michael Jackson in mainstream media. Your support of quality journalism will, in time, bring truth and the proper perspective to the life of Michael Jackson.

Here we have another story regarding how the tabloid media causes so much devastation and destruction for many people. This story is brought to you by the New York Times. Please refer to the story below and leave your comments. Please remember to be respectful and non fan-like. In fact it’s advisable at this time to not make it solely about Michael with respect to how the media treated him. If you mention Michael along with a list of many other people, then you’ll be more likely to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, that is the way it needs to be. Michael has many intelligent, loving and peaceful fans, but the media has consistently portrayed the fans as crazy, emotional and fanatical. We need to show them we are not what they say.

The Media Advocacy team appreciates your help and work to defend, preserve, protect and honor Michael’s legacy. We also appreciate the work you do to help make that change in your own lives and for humanity.

Our best,
MJJC Legacy Project Media Advocacy Team

==========================================
(STORY)

This article is about the devastation that tabloids have now been discovered to have wrought in the lives of "ordinary people" like the Dowler family and former Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The story is trickling into the US now, but it's huge in Britain. What none other than The New York Times fails to address is the free-for-all that is tolerated when it comes to celebrities and other public figures, which reflects a desire to get the story at any cost and no matter the collateral damage.

We would like to point out the inconsistency in ethics and simple decency that seems to excuse stalking and potentially harming people in the public eye, as though fame has somehow assigned them to a class less than human.

Most of you have probably already heard about two paparazzi being detained recently for reckless driving and running red lights in pursuit of Paris Jackson--a chase with eerie reverberations of the fate of Princess Diana. Society needs to be awakened to what's wrong with this picture. This should be every bit as unacceptable, and illegal, as chasing down "ordinary people."

In Michael's words, Is it Scary? ......Yes INDEED! This is Scary.

Re: ACTION REQUIRED: Rupert Mudoch-News of the World

HONESTLY I am so terrified to see this 1 company is so in control legally of what people all over the World read and veiw !! Michael had to be the one to truely expose this entity that sought so hard to destroy him with every word and picture they printed and called it NEWS then sold it to US !! It took me this long to see what Michael was really up against in the rawiest form of the written word !! In the free World this would be catagorized as a "MONOPOLY" and would not be allowed to continue, competition would kill it!! It's SCARY to see how what one person who inherited all these Companies World wide could really do to a person !!And more frieghtening it is to KNOW if this one ego maniac wants so bad for the World to listen to him, and then to find he HATES Michael and uses his every tool in his possession to spread that World Wide !! NO we won't let INJUSTICE continue running amock now that we have the BIGGER PICTURE !! NO WE WON'T RUPERT !! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED AND ADVISED !! BE prepared to be held PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE !!! NO MJ JUSTICE NO PEACE !!:punk::clapping:

(STORY #1)

WHO: Martin Bashir

WHERE: Huffington Post highlights Martin Bashir's appearance on the Today Show where he critiqued the Murdoch scandal. Many of the comments are supportive of Bashir's stance on Murdoch's empire using unscrupulous means to reach an end. Sound familiar?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/<wbr>&#8203;2011/07/14/martin-<wbr>bashir-ruper&#8203;t-murd_n_<wbr>898462.html

WHEN: WE NEED TO RESPOND NOW! We need to inform the unsuspecting public of Mr. Bashir's deceptive ways.

HOW: Let's comment on the Huffington Post article and provide some factual material for the reading audience.

NOTE: Please visit www.mjtruthnow.com, and sign up for the newsletter.

IMPORTANT: The following link highlights some of Bashir's unethical behavior that can be used in our commentaries:

================================================== ===================
(STORY #2)

Please see the sample comment below about "Bashir's deceptive ways." Credible links, of course, to corroborate these items would be ideal. In addition please find a scenario after the comment, envisioning what is happening to the comments we leave at Diane Dimond's articles--they are in many instances disappearing when they are negative.

SAMPLE COMMENT ABOUT BASHIR: What? What?! You talking about Martin Bashir who in April 2003 was censured by the British Broadcasting Standards Commission for misleading the father of a runaway teenager to secure an interview?

Or the Martin Bashir who forged bank statements that indicated payments by newspapers to shadowy offshore companies? Bashir told Princess Diana she was under surveillance and in danger. Diana fell for it. She believed someone was being paid to bump her off. Diana's friends confirmed she was doing the interview because she was terrified of the implications of those bank statements. She genuinely thought her life was in danger.

Or the Martin Bashir who ingratiated himself with Michael Jackson, only to maliciously edit eight months of film footage, thus requiring Mr. Jackson to produce a rebuttal documentary. Anyone viewing these documentaries side-by-side can see that Bashir is every bit as dangerously duplicitous as Rupert Murdoch's henchmen ever were.

http://bashir-goldston.webs.<wbr>com/clickforthetruth.htm

Martin Bashir is nothing more than a slimy, calculating, callous bully. He's cut from the same cloth as Murdoch.

================================================== ===================
(STORY #3)

IN OTHER NEWS, DIANE DIMOND has been busy purging her columns of any derogatory statements made by commentators.

DD: Hello, Tina [Tina Brown, Editor, The Daily Beast]? Diane here. Waaah...the `crazy Michael Jackson fans' have been out in force. They've commented negatively about me on all my columns. Please don't let them get away with it. Purge all comments and let my opinion stand unchallenged.

TB: That bad, Diane?

DD: Oh, yeah. They've galvanized to try to ruin my career. I see the same comments by the same people over and over.

TB: Don't worry, Diane, I've got your back. I'll ask Tech Support to purge all your columns of all comments. How's that?

DD: Thanks, Tina. `Preciate it.

Stories:

(Story #1)
The following links go to an opinion piece, originally in the LA Times and then in The Kansas City Star, by Tim Rutten, in which he deftly indicts Nancy Grace and her pernicious effects:

(Story #2)
WHO: Nancy Grace

WHERE: http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form5c.html?24

We need to let CNN know our thoughts about Ms. Grace's unethical and one-sided reporting tactics.

NOTE: Scot Safon, who runs the (HLN) channel, told the New York Times: "I want to replicate this when the Conrad Murray trial starts." (Referring to Nancy Grace's style of coverage throughout the Casey Anthony trial).

BACKGROUND: Please read the following articles, sent to you previously, critiquing Ms. Grace's reporting style if you need background information to use in your comments to CNN:

Hello MJJC family,

We have another story regarding Michael that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Please refer to the article in The Daily Beast regarding Anthony Pellicano alluding that there was something more than child molestation that occurred back in 1993. You’ll find what I am referring to in the second page of the article. I’ve included here as well.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/<wbr>newsweek/2011/08/07/hollywood-<wbr>phone-hacker-anthony-<wbr>pellicano-breaks-his-silence.<wbr>html

<wbr><wbr><wbr><wbr><wbr><wbr><wbr><wbr>“Later in the interview, Pellicano reveals that when he agreed to work for Jackson during the star’s 1993 child-molestation case, he warned Jackson that he’d better not be guilty. “I said, ‘You don’t have to worry about cops or lawyers. If I find out anything, I will f--k you over.’ ” The detective took the assignment, but says, “I quit because I found out some truths…He did something far worse to young boys than molest them.” But he refuses to say anything more about it. It’s as if Pellicano wants to send Hollywood a reminder: I know which closets hold the skeletons”

We are looking for people to comment to stop his attempt to capitalize on the fact that he was Michael’s attorney, hence he is alluding that there is more to the story. This is another example of someone who was in Michael's life at one point that is looking to gain attention at the expense of Michael. Pellicano has stated several times that he thought Michael was innocent, so why now is he coming out with this type of innuendo?

We are asking that people add their comments, but please be respectful, non-emotional and non-fan like. There are a few people who are making very negative comments as if they are almost provoking anyone who is an admirer or fan of Michael. So we need to be very careful not to engage them in any way. Since the trial is coming up in September, we will be seeing more of this type of sensationalistic stories as we progress forward. So get ready as you will most likely be seeing many more stories. Please “Keep the Faith”.

As always, your efforts to help preserve, protect, defend and honor Michael’s legacy are sincerely appreciated.

Our best,
MJJC Legacy Project Media Advocacy Team
