Many people are rightfully upset about a program Dr. Drew Pinsky just did on Michael, beginning by asking, "Who was the real Jacko? Addict, freak, idol?" You can read more about it here.

Dear Legacy family,

This wonderful message is on behalf of your Legacy sister Deborah Ffrench. Her brilliant article 'The Return of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award' is worth our every positive comment.

Hi all,

I hope you're well. I wondered if you could help me today. Today an article went up at a media outlet which talks about not only the recent MTV re-naming but also specifically talks about the fallacy of the accusations against Michael Jackson. This is not really about me pushing my own work or MTV, but about the confirming the reality of Michael Jackson's innocence that runs throughout the piece -- in mainstream media.

So this is a request really from me to you asking if you could link link this article all over FB, fan sites and twitter etc. This will help to demonstrate to Stereoboard, as yet one of the handful of outlets to let the words " Michael Jackson was falsely accused" enter the public domain without qualification -- that there is a demand and a big one for publishing the truth about MJ. I respectfully ask one further thing:

Please comment without fan names ( if you can). It's also better if the comments come across as if you don't know me at all and are simply responding to a 'cold call' article.

We have some positive news. Voices Education Project has released a second edition of the “Words and Violence” curriculum. To refresh your memory, this is the curriculum that is dedicated to Michael Jackson and Princess Diana. Some great new material has been added and it has been reorganized. This curriculum is free for download and we encourage you to download and read if you can. Also, we ask that you help spread the word about the curriculum to educational institutions, youth organizations and anyone who you think would benefit by this curriculum. I alone encountered two situations within the last couple of days where I shared about the curriculum. People are starting to understand the impact that words have; they can harm and they can heal.

Dear MJJC Family,

Here we have another article written by Matt Semino and it is regarding the Conrad Murray trial. Mr. Semino talks about the need to focus on defending the victim in the Conrad Murray trial, which we know is Michael Jackson. This is a MUST read and we are asking that you respond with a positive response if you can. It’s important that this article receive positive support from us and anyone else who sees that what they (defense, media, etc) are trying to do to Michael...all over again, is just plain WRONG. TruTV and HLN are doing it daily and for much of the day. WE know there are others. Please pass this article onto anyone who you feel is interested in fairness and justice.

For this story, we have a blog on HLN that states that Michael began his dark journey of drug addiction back in the 80’s. In addition to the content of the blog itself, the blog title is a perfect example of how the tabloid media uses headline grabbing titles to draw people in. We have included the link to the blog here. Please know that each time you visit the website, the site is making money. Unfortunately in order for us to refute and respond to these types of stories, we will need to go to these sites in order to respond. It is very important for our voices to be heard and seen. Please know that it’s your choice to visit the website or not. I (windy09) have also posted my response here, but please do not copy it and post it out on the site. It’s posted to give you an idea of how you can respond if you are not sure what to say. The comment is still waiting for moderation, so hopefully it will be posted.

"CNN, I sincerely hope you post this comment as I think there are things that require clarification. I think I need to clear something up here for all of those who believe the media sensationalistic reporting about Michael Jackson being a drug addict and it starting back in the 80’s. Yes, he had an accident back in the 80’s and his hair caught on fire. No, Michael was not on drugs when this accident occurred. No he didn’t feel his hair on fire probably because as he was running down the stairs, it may have taken awhile for the flames to set in. It could happen to anyone. Michael was rehearsing another run-through of his entrance. He delayed his walk down the stairs just a few minutes longer than the previous times. The pyrotechnics were just a bit too close and because of the delay and the flammable products that were used at the time, his hair caught on fire. Had Michael stopped earlier, he may have felt the burning. So until you know for sure, all the statements about drug use during the accident are not applicable. Also, yes Michael announced in 1993 that he had a problem with pain medication; however, he went into rehab and overcame the issue.

There is one important fact that you all need to consider and that is the autopsy results showed that Michael was in better health then the average 50 year old male. I advise you to read it so you are clear on the facts. Yes he was dealing with the standard issues of aging such as arthritis and a large prostate, but it was testified that he was basically very healthy. Also the only drugs that were found in his system were dispensed by Conrad Murray. There were no other drugs found in his system. I’m not agreeing with the use of Propofol. I’m saying that while Michael may have allowed Murray to treat his insomnia with Propofol or Lorazepam, Murray deviated from the standard of care in so many ways. First, he neglected to call 911 right away. He tried to perform CPR with one hand and on the bed. Anyone who knows CPR, knows it must be performed on a hard surface and with 2 hands. There was no monitoring equipment and he wasn’t monitoring Michael himself. There were no means to resuscitate Michael and there were no other medical personnel present. He lied to the paramedics and ER doctors about what he had given to his patient. Shall I go on? Murray also knew that Michael was being treated by other doctors. He lied about that. Murray did not document Michael’s medical history or obtain it from the previous doctors so that he could review it. A doctor needs to know what the patient is taking or what they were previously treated for before they can treat them. All of these facts were testified to by the last 2 prosecution witnesses. Murray absolutely does need to be held accountable for his actions. He took an oath to do no harm and every one of his actions was the opposite of do no harm.

Let’s say for conversation sake that Michael was addicted to the drugs, Murray had an obligation to not give him any drugs as a doctor would not give drugs to an “addict”. Murray even recorded Michael back on May 10, 2009. Murray was aware and it’s very apparent on that recording. So before anyone makes these blatant and unfounded statements, I would advise you do some research and look at the facts. I’m not saying that Michael shouldn’t take any responsibility. I’m saying that he trusted his doctor and his doctor failed him completely. What these bloggers and media outlets are saying are just reiterations of what they (media) have been saying all along, which are sound bites and sensationalistic statements to get ratings. They use these headline grabbing titles to pull people in. What’s worse is that people are being spoon fed this yellow journalism they are trying to pass off as news. I sincerely encourage people to do their own research. You will be amazed at what you find to be the real truth and what you find to be sensational and fabricated lies. Michael was a victim of many fabricated lies all his life and he still is even after his passing. I ask one more question. Where is your humanity and compassion? Michael Jackson was a father, brother and son. He leaves behind 3 children. At what point in time did we find it acceptable to dehumanize someone? Are we that insensitive? It appears to me that many are, especially by looking at blogs such as this and some of these comments. All I can say is that I feel great compassion for you. Maybe someone could go against the yellow journalism grain and write a positive story about Michael Jackson. He gave millions of dollars in charity, helped many people and left us with a wonderful legacy with his art, music and dance. Is anyone up to standing up for what is right?

Hello MJJC family,

Once again it is our time to make our voices heard in a positive way. Rev. Barbara Kaufmann (Inner Michael) has written and posted the first 2 parts of a 3 part article on the Huffington Post.

We are asking that people post in support of Rev. Kaufmann’s insightful and honest words about the media bullying and continuing cultural abuse of Michael Jackson in the wake of the Murray trial. Comments will be most effective if you focus your observations about the bias and inaccurate sensationalistic reporting which you are aware of and what effects these travesties have on you personally and society at large. Story I
The article here discussing a possible biopic of MJ's life is tolerable; however, the comments are offensive. Please go in and write educational comments that put this artist in perspective. Keep them concise and respectful so they are more likely to be read in completion. It’s important that we keep the comments factual while rebutting the viciousness. Please see link below:

You can also go in and flag these comments as abusive. Select the option “hate speech” or “offensive language.” Using the term Jacko is racist. Name calling is offensive, etc.... Some comments have already been deleted. The more we flag these comments, the better the chance to have them removed.

Story II
The inevitable (because our media is irresponsible and foments half-truths and controversy) comparisons are being made between the scandal at Penn State and the allegations of which Michael was acquitted.

Remember, Michael Jackson was a victim of extortion--and Sandusky is not. There was money to be made in accusing Michael Jackson--not Sandusky. The prosecution never succeeded in producing legions of accusers against Michael despite all their efforts--not so with Sandusky. No one credible ever witnessed Michael m*** children, but it appears Sandusky was seen raping a child and it was reported.

The two cases are entirely different and it is complete travesty to drag Michael's good name back through the mud. He was acquitted on all counts in a conservative county. Does the judicial process count for anything in restoring the presumption of innocence? There is something gravely wrong here.

You would think that his children would be off limits when it comes to exploitation and sensationalism. The same goes for the Jackson family. For some reason there are those who feel they can continue to afflict vicious attacks on Michael, the Jackson family and now his children.

If we all don’t know it yet, Michael’s daughter Paris appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show earlier this week. Now these attacks are targeting Paris Jackson, whose perfectly understandable words from a clip on Ellen’s show were twisted beyond recognition. Unfortunately, many of these salacious attacks are coming from people who call themselves “MJ Fans” as well as the media. With the media, you can expect to see that; however, how is it that people who claim to love Michael possibly engage in the same type of behavior that helped destroy him? This is a very good question.

Michael was bullied on a global scale and now the bullying is starting to happen to his children by non-fans and fans alike. Please refer to this link by mjjjusticeproject for more information on the manipulation that continues to take place.
