Murray Trial - 5 October - Day 7 - Discussion

HEY! Who is the guy in the tan suit sitting directly behind the Projector? I saw Chernoff speaking with him not long ago. Is he another of their lawyers?

Is Chernoff trying to show that Murray's office had purchased IV pumps in the past? He keeps referring to previous orders for "pump SETS".....a Pump Set is not the same as an Infusion PUMP. A pump set, IMO, is merely the specialized IV tubing that one would be using WITH THE PUMP. His lack of understanding (or maybe it's intentional) is misleading and it's unfortunate the witness isn't pointing out that a pump set is not the same thing as a pump.

There may be another witness or expert who will testify to the difference at some other point. It seems Sally was not really sure what everything was for herself...even tho she was an account rep.

Btw...there is a medical marketing person ON the jury if I remember correctly. They may have more insight about this and will be able to note the difference; pass it on to the others in deliberations if the rest do not understand or know.

Steven Marx on the stand now.

Says in june 2005 he was employed at the DEA lounge, as a computer forensic specialist, worked there for 5 years in 09,
Before he was working as a computer investigative specialist.

says one tries to recreate the original data, and tries to make an exact copy of it

says he is familiar with iphones, says it’s a mobile computer
describes it as having an

iphone can save a screen shot
says Steve Marks. Data forrensic expert

I think Ng said it was a resident area while Murray liked to Lopez.

Ramona come again? What do you mean "while Murray liked to Lopez" please? I am really upset with Tim Lopez somehow. If I was a pharmacist, I would never, never, never ship something like 255 bottles of Propofol plus all the midazolam etc to an address without checking it out. It's like his brain's suspicion-center had taken a vacation. All he could think of was the money Murray was paying him for all that medication. Ugh, so, sooooo many people are to blame here I can't even think what to say. Shame on the medical profession!

Yes, she is Consuela Ng, the gal who testified a couple of days ago; she's the one who "volunteered" at Murray's office 5 days a week/has no medical training/her grandmother had been a patient of Murray. Connie is short for Consuela.

Exactly! Thank you ;)

says it’s not automatically overwritten but only when the space where it’s stored is overwritten(the space where it’s stored is needed)
says there’s two storages an allocated and unallocated storages
says he does analyses on iphones.

walgreen is now removing evidence from the packaging and pulling out an iphone

witness says u can delete things but it will still be on the phone until its totally overwritten by something else that needs the space. walgen imo is gonna say murray deleted the message but it was still on his phone when it was sized at the end of july

murray took screen shots on june 25th! there were loads but not all could be dated

Defense accepts the iphone was murray’s
Says he found screenshots relating to june 25, on murray’s iohone
A lot of screenshots were located but not all could be attributed to a specific date
showing a screenshot (ppls 84) now to the witness

Sorry,

What I meant is that Ng actually said it was a resident area, while Murray lied to Lopez about having an office in LA. Since Lopez had no reason to suspect Murray, he shipped to that address in good faith.

I also think it's unfair to go into a witness' mindset since they're not the one on trial here.

I know what you're saying, part of me feels that way as well...........but then on the other hand, why would anyone (Lopez) even suspect that a verified doctor would be requesting such quantities of items to a residence? I'm thinking that it would just seem reasonable to assume that such vast quantities of such meds were naturally being delivered to a medical clinic. Who would ever think or suspect otherwise?

murray was checking his emails at 7.03 on the 25th and at 0945. emails from that connie woman again

june 24th email about michael. (omar arnold) progress notes

Walgren showing screen shot of June 25th 2009
shows a whole host of names called
date and time at the bottom of the screen shot.
Someone was maniplating the screen shot

Thank you Ramona. It's still preposterous to me that a pharmacy would ship that many bottles of an anesthetic to an address that they don't check out.

I'm confused............if all documents that Walgren is referring to would have been provided to the defense as part of Discovery, why are they taking these documents from Walgren as if to indicate it's the first time they're seeing them? Why wouldn't they have their own copies of them?

judge wants to talk to them.
murray is lookign less cocky today if u ask me but who knows what's going on in his disturbed head

Watching Sky News' coverage and they're talking about the importance of phones. This evidence will prove damning.

Since the drugs he asked for where not control substances like morphine, he wasn't legally obligated to check the address. Although, if he knew he was shipping to a house, I'm sure he wouldn't had done it, but he had no reason to think Murray was lying. It's one of those 20/20 hindsight kind of things.

Marks Recognizes various emails from Ng to Murray regarding progress notes of ‘Omar Arnold’

Watching Sky News' coverage and they're talking about the importance of phones. This evidence will prove damning.

That's probably why the defense are making a fuss, trying to distract the jury at this point IMO

Shows various attachement of those progress notes, regarding medication/illness/meds
Notes go as far back as 07

Showing more attachements going back as far as jan 11[SUP]th[/SUP] 2006, all hand written notes
All the hand written notes state ‘Omar Arnold’

So I'm assuming that "Omar Arnold" is a fake name for MJ. How can a doctor keep records of a patient that contain a 'fake name'?
