The millenium dome:eek: when did they change the name to O2? I loved the dome. The media just didn't give it a chance.:(

i do think this will happen....... not 30 tho but i can see him doing about 10... i see prince twice last year and it was awsome but go dknows how good mike would be!

Thanks guys. The last time I heard they were trying to sell it off to some company. I had no idea they had done so and changed the name too. I hope it works well ths time. Maybe I should go up and take a look.:)

When I think about it, I'm sure there were rumours a couple of years ago about Michael performing here if it was to turn into a concert venue! *scratches chin*

a friend in london said in one of the papers there presume the free papers that there was a story about shows happening in september ( they posted a list of all the concerts for each month of 2008. mj was in sept). the only other info was about the number of shows. they wrote 30 but said no one knew at this point how many shows there would be.obviously we knew that already but the september claim is a new one

the below was posted on mjno dunno if its been posted here. but if its legit it just really tells us what we already know and it seems pretty far off anything being confirmed or agreed to yet let alone it happeing in set months ie sept


Here's another for you guys.. I got an email from a spokesman/woman from O2 Arena. I emailed him/her acting as if I am interested in business ventures.. lol! Mentioning promoting the 'rumored Michael Jackson concert set'.

Hello and thank you for the interest in our O2 Arena.

We have several big plans with the arena in the near future including more high quality food services, a new casino, and several other projects I am not able to give out at this time. Promotion for these projects have all ready been in order since they are all ready in works.

As far as your question regarding Michael Jackson, we have been in contact but nothing has been confirmed yet unfortunately. So at this time I’m not in a position to comment to be honest, but yes, it is something that is being discussed. I do not have much information as there is nothing concrete to comment on yet.

Keep in touch in recent future for any further notice. As we speak more to Michael Jackson I am not sure what I will or will not be able to give out as far as information. Mr. Jackson is interested on doing performances soon, from my understanding he's shopping around and I am not sure what will go through with us.

£867.50 for VIP places.. :lol: Well I don't know where the VIP section is at 02 arena, but usually it's somewhere in the back, where you can't even see anything. It's just that you don't have to queue, you have food and beverages served all the time and you have comfortable seats to sit on. And when someone asks did you see the performer you went to see.. yeah, from the big screens or TV's, which VIP's usually have as well. Who wants to pay big moneys for watching Michael from TV in his concert? :lol:

just wondered has anyone esle got an o2 phone and have regested to prioty info?? Ive been getting texts everyday about priory tickets.... heres what I got today

for your chance to buy priority tickets to see Katie Melau, on 8 november at the O2, TEXT Katie to (o2 text number)

hopefully if Michael does do something at the O2 I'll get the info first and let people know

If he's doing 30 shows then almost 500 USD per ticket for general seating seems steep and don't get me started on the VIP for almost 750 USD. I understand this is MJ and he hasn't preformed for YEARS now but do they really expect most fans to afford this? Not to mention the fans from around the world that will want to come and will be paying for flights and hotel stay. Is this only for the Royals and shit? Seriously now, I think Mike better step back a little and cut these crazy prices in half and do 60 shows instead of 30.

I've been getting those too!!! I had one thise morning about getting free O2 SIM cards for friends which I'm gonna do cus a few of my friends don't have one and I think it would come in handy to have one juts incase! :lol:

Be very wary of these ticket agenices. They're not the official suppliers.
Most are ticket touts, posing as genuine ticket agencies. They charge much more than the ticket face value and hope that they will be able to get hold of tickets nearer the time. They don't actually have the tickets they're selling. In the case that they can't get hold of the tickets last minute, some, (if you're lucky) will give you a refund, but as in most cases, you'll probably get nothing.
There was a documentary about them on TV a few weeks ago (The One show I think?).
I got caught out that way with the Onlineticketshop.com.
Don't panic, these are not the genuine ticket prices! They are simply rip-off merchants trying to cash in! Think about it - if MJ hasn't even confirmed to O2 if he's going to perform, how can they be offering tickets?
Make sure you buy tickets from 02 or genuine agencies like Ticketmaster.

That is kind of what I figured. We have the same problem with football ticketrs here.

Man nearly £1000 for a ticket i aint payin that much just for V.I.P access but it would be worth the money i suppose
