This is a great thread, could easily spend hours listening to all the songs you guys have mentioned :)

But here are "my" songs:

American Pie, the original by Don McLean, probably because of the part that says "the day, the music died". Can't think of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens or The Big Bopper any more, I only think of Michael when listening to that..

Immortality by Celine Dion, always liked the song even though I don't like her voice :)

I love that song and Orianthi said she wrote it for Michael and a friend of her's back in Australia who died shortly after.

Yes, I read that too, how sad that is :(
I like it because I know that: it's sang from the heart, for someone who understand a bit of our feelings, someone who actually knows the man we are mourning. That makes it even more touching.

And for classical music fans.....This one is a poem from the early 1870's set to music by Sir Edward Elgar - I have it on CD but don't know of a link to it...It always makes me cry, especially the last 2 lines.

Whenever I hear this, I feel so sad, and yet so peaceful at the same time. He's somewhere out there dancing ,and smiling down upon us all...

Yes, sure it has been mentioned by some of us, but it doesn't matter: this is perfect for Michael, for his sister and for his dancing :) It's impossible not to match MJ and this song, they simply belongo together now, so thank you very much for bring it here again :hug:

I've always loved this song since I was little during the 1970's. I have the Carpenter's greatest hits with this song on it and everytime I hear it I think of Michael. I always wished he would have done a remake of it. The song fits him like a glove. It's so sweet and sentimental.

Such beautiful songs that make me think of Michael when I listen to them. Sadly they are a sharp reminder of how much I miss him. There isn't a moment in the day where I don't miss him.
