I was in a Best Buy store yesterday in my area and I couldn't believe how many Thriller 25 units (about 20-25) were on the shelves...but wait there were plenty of other singers/musicians CD on the shelves too.
I was in a rush to leave, was just looking anyway, so I didn't ask them was this a re-stock. They had every version of the CD (Deluxe Casebook shrink wrapped in and out of gold box; zombie and picture in white suit covers; jewel case shrink wrapped in and out of gold box).
Has anyone else noticed this (re-stocks) at stores (Best Buy, etc.) in your area?
I didn't go there in February to buy mine, I got it from Amazon.com pre-ordered before the release date.
I think a lot of music loving people don't know about this store because the shelves were nicely stocked of just about anything and everything. The store is sorta sitting waaaay back at the end of a plaza shopping area and even though there were quite a few cars in the parking lot there weren't many people in the music section. The store wasn't that crowded either, actually I've never seen it crowded the 4 times I've been there in almost 2 years.
I think most people go to the Target store that's at the entrance of the Plaza and the Northwoods Mall down the street a few blocks away.
Well, anyway it looked like a little gold mine to see all those "gold boxes" of Michael's masterpiece sitting there. I wanted to grab them all.
