I was in a Best Buy store yesterday in my area and I couldn't believe how many Thriller 25 units (about 20-25) were on the shelves...but wait there were plenty of other singers/musicians CD on the shelves too.

I was in a rush to leave, was just looking anyway, so I didn't ask them was this a re-stock. They had every version of the CD (Deluxe Casebook shrink wrapped in and out of gold box; zombie and picture in white suit covers; jewel case shrink wrapped in and out of gold box).

Has anyone else noticed this (re-stocks) at stores (Best Buy, etc.) in your area?

I didn't go there in February to buy mine, I got it from Amazon.com pre-ordered before the release date.

I think a lot of music loving people don't know about this store because the shelves were nicely stocked of just about anything and everything. The store is sorta sitting waaaay back at the end of a plaza shopping area and even though there were quite a few cars in the parking lot there weren't many people in the music section. The store wasn't that crowded either, actually I've never seen it crowded the 4 times I've been there in almost 2 years.:D I think most people go to the Target store that's at the entrance of the Plaza and the Northwoods Mall down the street a few blocks away.

Well, anyway it looked like a little gold mine to see all those "gold boxes" of Michael's masterpiece sitting there. I wanted to grab them all.

Might be a restock because I was never able to find the non-deluxe Zombie version of Thriller 25 at Best Buy. So maybe they got it with more stock coming in.

well..you're fortunate, cus the virgin megastore i went to was running out and only had one version left. you better get what you can, before other people do find out about it. lol

everywhere I go Target and fye they have to keep restocking, once I went in Target I couldn't find a single copy....also I think this campaign is working cuz I was in Kmart and the girl behind me had pyt as her ringtone she was like in her 20's and before she answered her and the little girl that was with her sang and danced to it...it was so cute

I was at Best Buy like a couple weeks ago and noticed nothing like that.. maybe after I was there?

Also keep in mind, they take things to stores according to a couple things:

* The demand (if it sells fast at that specific location)
* It just comes (sometimes over stock)
* Store manager can order them (personal reasons/store sells well/ high demand.. Wutever)

I was thinking about that today. I'm thinking about going back to check out how much the total price would be to get a copy of each version. I already have the Deluxe Casebook, so all the others would be like layers of a Thriller25 CD cake. I know that one of them I looked at was $14.88, but I don't know which one it was.

I'm getting anxious just talking about it. Maybe I'll go tomorrow. Then if someone sees me buying up about 4 or more copies they might think about running over there to see how many is left.

I might walk through the store carrying them in my hands for about 15 or 20 minutes while I pretend to look at other things to buy. Maybe somebody will start whispering, "Look at all those Michael Jackson Thriller25 CDs she got." This type of behavior makes noisy people curious then they want what you got.

If it wouldn't damage the cases, I would drop them on the floor just to get attention, but I wouldn't do that. They are too precious to bruise.
