Janet's Number One's World Tour Official Thread

It's kinda sad to see that the shows are still the same just on a much smaller scale... I thought this was supposed to be Janet up close and personal, like you have never seen her before? I mean this is just the same ole Janet, nothing new in that.
Well I guess the main point were the smaller venues in order enable they sell out. Good to them shows

yes it does look like the same show to me

^^ you two are acting like the Rock Witch U tour was a world wide tour, no one outside the US has seen the show, and even in the US itself there was only 16 shows, so to them its new, with the short time before the tour started I'm happy with the little amount of changes there were.
Plus once the tour hits the States Gil, Janet's choreographer said the show will be different to these shows.

I think she will add some songs... She can't perform certain songs over there because they are stricter.

True, Gil said that she couldn't do certain songs in Asia as they're more conservative over there.
Plus I don't think she leave out I Get Lonely out when it gets to the states.

I think Janet should change it up a bit. Do an acoustic set like Beyonce did for her Las Vegas DVD show. It was great to be honest. Imagine "If" acoustically. I think it would be great and something different.

I'd rather have I Get Lonely the way she did it on the Rossie O'Donald show, that was great, she showed she does have a strong voice, I loved it.
If acoustic would be amazing too though, but I can't imagine If without that crazy breakdown, it would be interesting to see what she could put together though.

^^^^i agree raz... I wish she would sing live more but I understand why she doesn't. I also noticed from the videos that she doesn't do the spins in her routines.. To me that's proof that she had/has vertigo

I must say though, she is singing more live this time, only the ballad were live on Rock Witch U, but she does lots of odd verses and bridges on this tour, I wish she would sing as much live as she did on The Velvet Rope or Janet. Tour, but I think she'd be too out of breath with the dancing these days to do it, ages catches up with you, even if you look great for your age.

seems like the rumor about the second private concert is true, I wonder what they are for.
The tour book hasn't been on sale at the show so far, but they are said to be going on sale for the Taipei concert, I'll show you guys pics once I find them. Also on the tour shirt, the back lists the dates, and includes three cities which have yet to be announced; Cannes, Japan and Australia.

True... It really does

it depends the city and where your seat is. Most cities in the US are probably like $55-150 but big metro places could be $100-250.
Thanks. I'm thinking about the Paris show.. I'll probably have to buy the cheapest tickets anyway if I even will be able to go there.

Okay sorry haven't posted in a while, thats it for the Asia shows now, she did her last show in Taipei, Taiwan today, no videos so far, I'll post when they come in.

Heres a video of her arriving in Taipei:

Through out the 5 shows there have been a few changes, she only came through the crowd on opening night in Manila, All For You had a different arrangement at Hong Kong and she changed her outfit on that medley to this tank top:

Janet Jackson Announces Two Shows At London's Royal Albert Hall & Tickets

http://www.stereoboard.com/content/view/163894/121

Legendary icon, Janet Jackson, took to heart the suggestions of her fans to select 35 cities for her Janet Jackson Number Ones: Up Close & Personal Tour and, following scheduled sold out appearances, in Asia and North America, Janet will be bringing the tour to Europe.

This tour’s set list will include songs from the album 'Number Ones' featuring her 35 number one hits and the tour will be performed in 35 global cities. Fans submitted suggestions to www.janetjackson.com to have their city selected. The first announced European cities of the tour are Paris, France, London England and Monte Carlo, Monaco. Stay tuned for more cities in Europe to be announced.

This tour will differ from her previous concert schedules in that she will perform music exclusively from her chart topping CD 'Number Ones'. There will also be a focus on venues that will allow Janet to be up close and personal in a much more intimate setting. In each selected city Janet will offer something different to her performance so no show will be the same.

“I have been spending a lot of time in Europe lately. Everyone has been so kind to me. I can’t wait to get on stage and show my love for all my fans that have supported me all of these years,” said Janet.

These performances will be Janet's largest ever world tour celebrating, for the first time, the Icon's 35 number one hits in 35 global cities. Janet still holds the record for the most successful debut concert tour by a recording artist with her 1990 “Rhythm Nation Tour” and is continuing to shatter records.

Janet Jackson will play the following UK Shows:

Thu June 30th - Royal Albert Hall, London
Sat July 2nd - Royal Albert Hall, London

Tickets For Both Janet Jackson's London Royal Albert Hall Shows are onsale from 9am on Friday 4th March.

I phoned royal albert hall to ask about the price of the tickets in london, from my understanding its £120 for a box, £85 for stalls and some £65 tickets

Tickets are on sale tomorrow at 8:00am not 9:00am, and can be bought from ticketmaster or through Janet's official fan club site, good luck to all buying :)
