Aaron Carter Claims MJ Gave Him Drugs *Update Post 41* Merged

Aaron Carter, the pop and hip-hop singer of the 90s, has backtracked on his claims about Michael Jackson offering him drugs and alcohol.

The singer, younger brother of Nick Carter of the BackStreet Boys, has denied that he told OK magazine any such thing.

A representative of the singer now claims to TMZ that the report was totally fabricated and the singer was just very good friends with the King of Pop.

In the original article, written by journalist Daphne Barak, Carter was quoted as saying, “Yes, (MJ) gave me wine. I mean, I could have refused, but I was 15. As for drugs? He gave me cocain."

Carter also claimed that he spent a lot of his time talking to Michael Jackson on phone and seeking his advice, till his mother got disturbed and called in the police.

The representative claims the story was totally fabricated and has even cited the YouTube video of the interview to verify the truthfulness of Aaron’s denial.

Daphne Barak has till date come up with no comments on the issue.

In an interview to Access Hollywood in 2004, Carter’s mother talked about an unsupervised night at Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch and hinted that her son was offered drugs by the singer.

But Carter told People magazine, "I don't do drugs.I didn't do them with Michael Jackson and I don't do them with anyone else."

Carter entered rehab in January after battling substance abuse issues for years. He checked into rehab for "emotional and spiritual issues," according to his manager Johnny Wright.

Michael did emancipate himself from his family, but he never abandonned them. On top of that, Michael died not because fo his family but because of people who were around him and who made him believe they all were his second family and friends. If Michael's family had been so wonderful he wouldn't have searched for people to fill that need.

Michael died because of Conrad Murray. Not because of somebody he considered his second family.

For the same reason that Bush was president, fascism was a hit in Italy, etc.. In the world there are people of all kinds. Even those who spend their time watching crap. But believe me, they are minorities. To think that tour is a success is making the joke of the year. The best of the century.

I am so confused! Why is the Cascio family garbage even though they remained a part of Michael's life right until the end.

We have Aaron Carter on audio tape saying and implying some horrible things but I am supposed to give him the benefit of a doubt? No I won't. I srongly believe he knew exactly what he was doing.

So you are comparing Janet's tour to Bush presidency, and fascism in Italy?

She's BETTER than 90% of the crap the artists are doing today.
 
So what is the media reporting now? That he is denying saying these things? Is this story dying down? I just worry what is next. I wish people would leave Michael alone for goodness sake. He can't even defend himself when this happens.

Whether the eye-witnesses comment or not,MJ's legacy is secure and those who loved him know the truth.I don't like Quincy Jones very much but sometime after Michael died, he said something I agree with; He said that all the accusations and allegations are like background noise.They will fade away.

Here we go again. I noticed one thing, if MJ's fans are good at something, is at bashing each others and everyone around without having a damn clue about people.

All I said was let's think what is the best thing to do to solve the issue. But when people constantly attack and bash, there is no unity and hell no, nobody wanna be a part of a group full of angry people bashing each others.

Stop the bash and do something useful. What's your idea? What can be done?
 
Ok there is now 69 pages of discussion of action to take, discussion of the article itself and a discussion of the families reaction, we can't expect all members to read 69 pages in order to know what has gone on and how the situation has changed day to day. We have been reminded to keep the thread clear in the News and Mentionings section of the forum but we are still none the wiser as to how people organizing a rebuttal want the rest of the members to take action and what MJJC has done collectively so far. We either need a post at the start of the thread that can be updated daily with any progress or changes, if not in this thread, this needs to take place in the other. We would like all members to play a role ideally but many will be put off because of how unclear all of this is.
 
You guys say you care about Michael's message but it wasn't to get in petty arguments. Instead of defending his legacy, SOME of you are letting stupid trash stories tear apart the unity of the fans. Good job tabloid media, you got what you wanted....

I hope so! I am so afraid that with this new suff out that people will just hear a Micahel song and think "Oh that's the guy that did such inappropriate things" So I hope you are right.

But the last time an accusation like this came out was 2003 and we had the hopes of a fair trial.

Now we have accusations but it feels like nothing can be done about them.

I wish Aaron had come out with this mess back in 2003, 2004 or 2005. I wish he'd been forced to go through TMez's cross examination.

I mean, if Aaron had said this back in 2003... Michael would have been arrested already. Sneddon would already have seen to that.

Aaron has a new record and a reality tv show coming out.... this isn't going to go away. This is going to be the big topic of any of those interviews/shows.

And some say Michael was paranoid. He was right....he could not trust anyone. What a sad world.
One day you are friends and the next he is lying to sell himself.
I am deeply, deeply disturbed once again. Those are rumors and lies. We know that. But the rest of the world does not.
They will believe once again.
When will people open their minds and see the truth ?! Will that day ever come ?!
 
It never ceases to disgust me how people will act when it comes to fame and money. I would love to know what happened to loyalty and dignity. I'm really at a loss to even verbalize how p.o'd this whole thing has got me. It's not as if Michael didn't suffer enough of the same when he was alive!

How is it even possible within the confines of the same interview to suggest/imply/leave enough room for negative speculation about someone and then turn around and say that you want to keep the same guy you've just set out to slaughters legacy alive? (It's as oxymoronic as if I was to claim something was the best meal I'd ever eaten and then within the same sentence say it tasted like dog crap! Which ironically is the same taste this "story" leaves in my mouth)

I can only speak for the issue of the Daily Star in the UK that I saw earlier (my dad buys it unfortunately) that the story appears in it's original form (claiming cocaine/booze WAS given) but at least in a small mercy it was buried deep within the paper and was only around 30 words or so (not front page sensationalism like I feared that it would). From my Google searches the second story (I was misquoted) seems to be the most popular at the moment so I hope that it stays that way; fingers crossed.


Sort of off topic but I just wanted to say that as someone who's new here I'd just like to say I'm really impressed and happy to see how you all band together in times like this and try and do whatever you can. It's really nice to see :)
 
Ok we should just relax a bit here because i see some crazy things going on. In both those videos Aaron Carter doesn't make any kind of accusation. NOTHING!!You can interpret his words however you like but the fact remains that he is not saying Mike did him this or that, so calm down, Jesus.
