Murray Trial - September 27 - Day 1 - Discussion Thread

theres only one reason murray recorded that. and that was to blackmail mj in the future or to sell to the tabs if his dream job didnt come off. how many times has mj being recorded and then they are sold to the press. how come murray still had the recording and didnt delate it? still planned to sell it after june 09

and his comment that he didnt dial 911 cause it would be negligent to mj. ive fecking heard it all now

The voice recording was absolutely horrendous to listen to, I really hope it helped the arguments in the opening statements as you know the media is going to run with it and that's all we're going to hear about - MJ sounding drugged up.

The prosecution used the timeline that murray first gave them, the one where he noticed MJ had stopped breathing at least an hour and a half before 911 was called. I thought he had revised that timeline, mainly because his phone records showed he was chatting non-stop on his phone instead of supposedly trying to save MJ.

Actually, we don't know if he deleted it or not. I may be wrong but I think it is possible to located DELETED recordings on iPhone, the same as with usual PC's.

I agree. If he really wanted to help him, he would have rung the alarm and played that recording to his mother or someone who could have really helped MJ (his assistant, DiLeo, etc)... NOT order more propofol.
N im sure that if he needed to get in contact with Katherine, he could.

That recoding is just mind blowing. I don't even know what else to say..... Poor Michael he didn't deserve that...

LaToya I somewhat like you and all... but woman can you please stop tweeting for a second (I know you dont mean any harm by it though).

She tweeted something like "its sad to hear all of the negligence"

 :bugeyed   :busted:  :girl_mad:

However, that was a powerfull Opening for the prosecution. Whoa!

the pros are going with what murray told them as the time he gave the dip and the time according to the phonecall that he noticed mj. which is very feasable as he was sat on the phone for vertually the entire time

I'm so torn right now.
I want to be informed but the things I'm hearing from you guys...it's just too much.
So I'm not sure if I should be hearing and seeing these things from the trial.
They just showed the picture of Michael on the news here (boy does stuff like that get spread fast) and luckily it was kind of in the distance for me but I can understand why you guys say you weren't ready for that. I definitly wasn't either but at least I knew it was coming because of you guys so thank you for that.

I haven't made my mind up about the voice recording. I don't think I can handle that. I'm really shocked all of this is coming out so fast. Maybe I should have been preparing more...
This whole thing still doesn't seem like reality to me. It's all so confusing. All I can still think is why did this have to happen to Michael?! Just horrible....
I hope we can help eachother through all of this.

I believe that "recording" was Murray's INSURANCE POLICY also!

In my opinion, he knew deep down, that AEG was NEVER going to sign that contract with him. He made that "recording" as a back-up plan.

Murray had been around Michael long enough to know how the media treated him and he also most likely knew that a "recording" like that would garner him a pretty penny.

I can't think of any other reason a person, a doctor no less, would make such a recording.

Yes ... and I have heard slurred speech before, but never like this, what did this monster do to him? No doctor would ever do that, usually they don't even prescribe light benzos, even if you are begging on your knees, crying and screaming.

Wow! I can't believe the defense is taking this route. Disgusting!

I'm so torn right now.

I felt the same way, in the beginning.

Now I'm so mad, I can't look away. I don't want to miss anything.

Chernoff is ALREADY sounding like an idiot. Talking about Michael eating the drug, when doctor was not around. Walgreen makes him look like a 2-year old.

Can anybody believe what this fool is saying!!!!!!!!

So Muarry didnt call 911 because he died quickly!?!?!? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That doesnt make sense lol

I cant believe it either. I will say that he does have to the job he was hired, so I cant hate him for that. Its just very funny that he is grasping at straws.... WOW!!!!!

Flanagan says he is going to show that Michael self-administered propofol. I'd like to know how?

The defense is terrible, and did you see on the board they spelled Michaels name Micheal?

They need to find out "what happened in the room when Murray had left". He shouldn't have left at all. This is ridiculous. This approach is simply disgusting.

im not listening to the defence. i might punch my tv screen if i do. so appreciate opinions on it

Yes, and that he took the Lorazepam himself too. Murray never denied giving it to him in the police interview. The version with the Lorazepam must be Murray's version no. 113.

That lawyer is weird in every way, he looks like something you can buy at Walmart...

The pausing he is doing is pissing me off. It's like he's trying to force his side over with the 2 second pauses in between statements and sometimes in the middle of them.
