I've known Whitney since she was a little girl and I have always loved her. She was like family to me and I will miss her dearly.

Jermaine is seeking the spotlight:

1) Before calling Whitney's family, he called CNN.

2) He looks foolish sending condolences to Whitney's dad, when the man passed away almost a decade ago.

This proves he had no knowledge of her in the latter years , but like he did in 2009 when MJ passed, he will take the time to call the media to get his name in the news.

Oh my goodness, that ^^^^ makes me cry all over again. She had such an incredible voice. I had the extreme pleasure of seeing her in concert in the early 90s.

I'm sure Michael is keeping her company, making her laugh. They freely gave us their talent and incredible music while we had them.

He called into CNN because they asked to speak with him. Steve Dennis, his publicist, said that he (Steve) found out about her death because of calls from the media wanting to talk with Jermaine. Plus Jermaine is in the Middle East right now so it was the middle of the night when he was doing the interview so he may have been half asleep when he gave the interview. I'm sure it was an innocent mistake not knowing her father had passed away.
 
Terrible tragedy. I still can't believe it. It's as shocking to me as when we lost Michael.
My heart goes out to her and her family. Truly a sad day.

The Grammys will surely honor Whitney tonight. :(

So what the media wanted to talk to him?....the right thing to do was to reach out to the family, if he was even close to the family in later years. Do you think he was the only one the media called? They called many to try to fill airtime.



Today is about Whitney.... not Jermaine, so I will end this discussion here.

This is terribly sad. I've felt really bad since I heard this yesterday and was literally brought to tears when watching her videos on VH1 late last night. Throughout her life, she was exceptionally beautiful when she was healthy, and I know that ever since she made that comeback, she kicked that main demon of hers to the curb, and I don't mean Bobby Brown. This hurts, all the people I've grown up to are just dying off, and too quickly for my liking. I feel so bad for her daughter, I know they were like the best of friends. This is just all too sad.

Whitney Houston's 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was just rushed to Cedears-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles ... TMZ has learned.

According to our sources ... Bobbi was taken out of the Beverly Hilton, where Whitney died yesterday, on a stretcher.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ police and fire responded to a call for a medical emergency, but would not confirm who was transported.

As TMZ first reported, Bobbi Kristina got into an angry shouting match last night with police officers outside the hotel room where her mother was found dead

Bobbi Christina is Whitney's only child from husband Bobby Brown. Houston and Brown were married in 1992 and divorced in 2007.

I can't believe this. The media & close sources are doing the same thing to Whitney just like they did to Mike after he dies. The news is "drugs this, drugs that". Always putting black icons down....

I don't think it's about race, but I agree with the rest of your post, some people started speculating when she was not yet at the coroner's office. That is so disrespecftul.

My heart goes out to her family, it's really terrible.
 
We should all keep Whitney's fans in our prayers as well, 'cause I'm sure that never in a million years they would've ever thought that they would find themselves in the same position as we found ourselves in when MJ passed.

Sparkle, her last work will now be her fans 'This Is It'.....just so unreal the way things happen sometimes.

BTW.....is anyone else annoyed by Dr. Drew as much as I am? I swear its like he's always on call for when something like this happens to a celebrity, ready to give his two cents!
