A listing at Julien's Music Icons auction showed a letter that Barry Siegel - former accountant of Michael & an executor of the 2002 will - was also rehired before Michael's death just as Frank Dileo and John Branca rehiring.

An article by LA Times had mentioned the firing of Cannon & Co. in a May 2009 article

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog/2009/05/deep-pockets-behind-michael-jackson.html

In April, Jackson fired the accounting firm, Cannon & Co., that had worked for him for a year, according to an accountant who worked on his finances. Jeff Cannon of Cannon & Co. said he received a phone call from an assistant of Jackson who said the singer no longer required his services.

The letter that's being auctioned by Julien's now shows that Cannon & Co was replaced with Barry Siegel.

This might show that Michael was in the process of hiring his old staff back.

We know that barry stood down as an executor (do we know when that was) but maybe barry was still working for mj in relation to other things? ie he might not have just been rehired at the end of march but was already working for mj before then??

or he might have come back at the end of march in direct replacement. Like u say we know mj was getting his old team back together and getting rid of thome etc. barry has never spoken about this has he?

he resigned from executor position in 2003 and he stopped working for Michael at the same time period I believe. Later it was an accounting firm brought in by Randy - which later sued Michael and then other firms. It seems Siegel was rehired in 2009.

I guess its just another example of mj bringing old ppl like branca frank etc back.ppl he trusted

Ivy, one question.. How does someone resign as an executor like Siegel did?? Does it says so in attached documents?

Is Barry Siegel only a simple bookkeeper or more maybe an finanzadministrator? because

I am confused about this letter from MJ to Barry Siegel:

it's Date is March 25, 2009, and I remember L. Rowe's assertion about Michael's letter to Randy Phillips that beginns "Dear Mr. Phillips: Please be advised that effective from the date of this letter, Mr. Leonard Rowe is my authorized representative....." (etc.; you all know this letter... I can't copy it because it is one pdf) Now, this letter to Randy Ph. is from March 25, 2009 too.

Maybe it is better you read here:http://muzikfactorytwo.blogspot.de/2011_02_01_archive.html
(because my English is not well):
"Leonard Rowe insists Michael hired him to be his manager and he has a letter dated March 25, 2009 to substantiate his claim. On March 27, a Press Release was issued, from what appears to be by Michael Jackson, announcing Rowe's appointment as his business manager."
By the way Randy Ph. said always he never got this letter and I am thinking for myself this letter is a fake from Rowe and Joe Jackson because there is an handwritten notice on it about Rowe "as financial overseer only".

In his letter to Mr. Jeff Cannon asks Michael for sending his records to Barry Siegel.
But Barry Siegel was allegedly "fired" together with John Branca, Brian Wolf, Trudy Green and Howard Kaufmann in February 2003 (this writes Wiesner in his book ("Michael Jackson Die Ware Geschichte"; Heyne-Verlag 2011; Page 180-183)
For Michael's father Barry Siegel was as John Branca and Trudy Green bad people, and for me it is hardly credible that Joe (and Rowe) knew Michael's letter to Jeff Cannon....
But maybe Michael wrote this letter after the visit from Joe/Rowe because he doesn't want Rowe as his financial overseer. (?)

What do you think about?

That might well be but there is also a letter dated May, 5th 2009 where Michael Jackson informs Leonard Rowe the following:

“I hope you are well. After further consideration, I have decided to streamline my business operations at this time. Accordingly, this is to inform you that you do not represent me and I do not wish to have any oral or written communications with you regarding the handling of my business and/or personal matters. With respect to my touring matters, please feel free to contact Frank Dileo or Randy Philip of AEG.”

I believe Michael signed the appointment letter just to get Joe and Leonard off his back, hence the handwritten adjustments on the letter which clearly suggest he is not his business manager and only had authority to oversee his financials concerning O2 shows.

By the way, this meeting in March was supposibly an 'intervention', but all they tried to do is get Michael to tour with the brothers again and try to get a piece of the cake. Leonard Rowe can't be trusted imo.

Hi Nadia!
I'm laughing.... because my English is obvious so bad that you can't understand what I wrote.

Of course! it is my meaning too: Leornard Rowe can't be trustet.
And ONE indication for that is Michael's letter from March 25, 2009 to R. Phillips, which Michael wrote under pressure from his father and Rowe.

But never mind.... I will ending in this forum my attempts to write now because it makes no sense.... for you all... and for me too.

Oh no Mneme, don't give up lol. Maybe someone else will answer your questions, i'm sorry I've not been of any help lol.
