^Don't hold your breath. Especially after Michael died they do not like to get involved in things that portray him in a negative way. They either do not care, or they do not want the negativity to attach to them. They like the media to feel they are different or separate from Michael's dirt.

Notice, they only support him when he was alive & that is another story with a reason behind it, which we will not get into here. However, for all the people who came out after he died to say negative things about Michael or his children like Klien, Klien's lover, Lester, Chopra, that creep bodyguard from England whose name I can't remember now, Sullivan, the family has said nada/nothing/zero.

Who supports him? His fans and his estate. The family merely pretend they care so they can use Michael for Money like in the AEG case, tributes, belts, perfumes, alcoholic drinks, books, charities.

^^The younger generation Jacksons I have to say, at times do sweet things for Michael, like tweets on his birthday. However, these tweets do not evolve into grand scale support for Michael from the whole group or from Michael siblings, that would make any great impact on the public's thinking.

Roseanne allegations were way over the top. Like recalling memories as a baby in the womb. Roseanne was a huge star back then, and pushing a book. During that time media/tv did great work educating the public about the dark side of recovering memories.

Maybe Robson the choreographer, MJ protege thinks he should be a huge part of the many successful MJ projects.?

Somoene who is apparently a friend of Wade tweeted about two days ago how MJ begged Wade to testify in 2005. I guess he thought it is something that is damning info about MJ, but actually the contrary (if true). I mean had he molested Wade for 7 years he would have been an incredibly risky witness! How could they predict he won't break down on the stand and confess everything? I know if I molested someone I would not want that person to step on that stand! Even if we agree that he would testify in support of me, it would be just too much of a risk that he'd break down/change his mind/use the opportunity to drop a bombshell. That Michael wanted him on the stand only further proves that he was innocent.

And I don't think Wade had to be "begged" that much, by the way. He and his family were VERY supportive of MJ during the trial. And he certainly wasn't begged to make all those flattering comments about Michael all through the years - including after MJ's death.

As for Wade's testimony in 2005: It was certainly powerful that Wade went up there and refuted Blanca Francia's testimony, but it wasn't essential. Blanca's testimony was shaky in itself. She initially claimed on Hard Copy she saw two figures in the shower, but then when deposed in 1993-94 for the Chandler case she admitted she only saw Michael. However, by 2005 she miraculously remembered again that she saw two figures (another "repressed memory" case? LOL). When Mesereau asked her why she claimed something different in 1993-94 depositions than what she claimed in 2005, she answere “Well, at that time I guess I was tired and nervous, I guess”

Here is the full story of Blanca Francia and her testimony:

Blanca Francia

Blanca Francia was an illegal immigrant from El Salvador who worked as a maid for Jackson between 1986 and 1991. She first gained notoriety in December 1993, when she appeared on Diane Dimond’s tabloid television show, Hard Copy and claimed she had witnessed Jackson allegedly showering in the nude with a young boy during the time she worked for him. As it was later revealed, and as she also admitted during Jackson’s 2005 trial, she received $20,000 from Hard Copy [1]. Although she left her job at Jackson’s more than two years before the Hard Copy interview, and allegedly she quit in disgust, she was not disgusted enough to report to authorities what she allegedly witnessed. In actuality, she never mentioned the story to anyone before the Chandler scandal went public in 1993. As a matter of fact, in 1993, while being deposed, Blanca admitted that she had never seen Jackson showering in the nude with anyone. She complained that Hard Copy edited her interview in such a way that she seemed to say things she had never actually said.

Meanwhile, there were ex-employees of Jackson who went public to defend the entertainer from Francia's allegations. Jackson's former maid, Shanda Lujan, who worked with Blanca Francia at Neverland, said of Francia's claims: "I think it's ridiculous. He was great with kids. I think he'd make a very good father. He's just wonderful with them." [2] Another former maid, Francin Orosco said that Blanca Francia was very possessive of Jackson: "You could tell a lot that she had a little crush on him, very jealous of the other housekeepers. She didn't want no one close to Michael. There's a lot of jealousy there." [2]

The claim that Hard Copy edited her interview and the fact she admitted in a 1993-94 deposition that she never saw Jackson shower naked with anyone, did not prevent the prosecution from putting Blanca Francia on the stand at Jackson’s 2005 trial, where she went back to her Hard Copy story and now alleged again that she did witness Jackson shower naked with a young boy, Wade Robson. In 2005 her explanation for the contradiction with her 1993-94 depositions was that “Well, at that time I guess I was tired and nervous, I guess”[1].

On direct examination during Jackson’s 2005 trial, Blanca Francia claimed that once while Wade Robson was visiting with Jackson, she walked into Jackson’s bedroom suite and heard voices laughing and playing coming from the bathroom. She claimed when she went up to see what was going on, she saw two pairs of underwear in front of the shower belonging to Jackson and Wade Robson. She claimed she could identify Robson’s underwear because she used to do the laundry for the guests of Neverland. She claimed she witnessed two figures inside the shower through the fogged up window of the shower, the size and of Jackson and Robson, and she heard the voices of Jackson and Robson. [1]

On cross-examination Jackson’s lawyer, Thomas Mesereau confronted Francia with the fact that in her 1993-94 depositions she admitted that she only saw one figure in the shower.

Q. Okay. You only saw one person in the shower, right?
A. I saw him in the shower and the little kid.
Q. But in your deposition you said you could only see one person, but you heard giggling, right?
A. Yeah, but I hear two people --
Q. You heard two people. You could only see one through the glass, right?
A. Mostly, yeah. Mostly. [1]

Q. Do you remember in the deposition saying you never saw anyone else in the shower but Mr. Jackson?
A. I don’t think I say that.
Q. Would it refresh your recollection if I show you the transcript?
A. Okay.
[…]
Q. Have you had a chance to look at that page of the deposition?
A. Yes.
Q. Does it refresh your memory about what you said about the shower?
A. Yeah.
Q. You saw one person, Mr. Jackson, right?
A. Yes.
Q. Or it looked like him through the glass, right?
A. Yes.
Q. And the only voice you really heard was Mr. Jackson, correct?
A. No.
Q. That wasn’t correct?
A. I hear two -- two. [1]

Although Francia still insisted she heard two voices, in her 1993-94 depositions at one point she admitted she actually heard only one.

Q. Do you remember you were asked in your deposition, “Did you hear anything else other than Michael laughing?” And you said, “No”?
A. Yeah.
Q. Was that the truth?
A. Yes.[1]

It also has to be noted that according to Francia’s testimony the water was running and the radio was on while she claimed to hear all those voices - or one voice, considering which of version of her testimony you want to believe.

During the 2005 trial, on redirect examination the prosecution tried to save Blanca Francia’s testimony by suggesting that her statements through different depositions, interviews and the 2005 testimony were so inconsistent because of the language barrier and because she might not have understood certain questions back in 1993-94. However, the final blow to Blanca Francia’s credibility came a month later, when Jackson’s defense presented their side of the case and called Wade Robson himself to testify. Wade Robson by this time was an adult man. He testified that Jackson never molested him and was never inappropriate with him in any way and more specifically, that they never showered together.

Q. Have you ever taken a shower with Mr. Jackson?
A. No.[3]

and

Q. Has anything inappropriate ever happened in any shower with you and Mr. Jackson?
A. No. Never been in a shower with him. [3]

and

Q. And are you aware, as you sit here today, that there’s been allegations that Mr. Jackson molested you?
A. Yes.
Q. Mr. Robson, did Michael Jackson ever molest you at any time?
A. Absolutely not.
Q. Mr. Robson, did Michael Jackson ever touch you in a sexual way?
A. Never, no.
Q. Mr. Robson, has Mr. Jackson ever inappropriately touched any part of your body at any time?
A. No. [3]

During Blanca Francia’s testimony it was also revealed that she stole things from Jackson’s bedroom, such as a watch or a jacket. She and the prosecution attempted to downplay these thefts by claiming the watch Blanca took from Jackson's bedroom was not an expensive item, just some promotional material, and by claiming that she did not try to hide from Jackson that she took those items: “At one time I was wearing it, one of his jackets, and he say -- and he told me that it was his jacket. And I say, “Yeah, I was cold.” And he say, “Oh, that’s okay” [1], she said.

On another occasion, Francia was caught looking into the purse of another employee, Gayle Goforth. Francia said she did that to see how much Goforth was paid. It was claimed on Hard Copy that Blanca Francia left her employment at Neverland in disgust because of what she claimed to have seen occur between Jackson and little boys but incidents like these are a far more likely reason of why she had to leave.

During her testimony in 2005, Blanca Francia also admitted that in 1993, besides Hard Copy, she contemplated selling her story to the National Enquirer. One of the reporters who used to work for the Enquirer, Jim Mitteager had a habit of taping his conversations. When he died his tapes were inherited by private investigator and tabloid broker, Paul Barresi. The Mitteager tapes reportedly include a conversation in which it is claimed that in 1993, Enquirer reporter, Lydia Encinas befriended Blanca Francia and at the time allegedly helped transcribe Francia’s police interview. On the Mitteager tapes, Enquirer editor, David Perel tells Mitteager on March 23, 1994, that: “the reason why Lydia Encinas is involved is because she speaks Spanish and she’s got a good relationship with Blanca.” [4]

In April 2005, journalist, Michelle Caruso claimed to have questioned detective Russ Birchim, who interviewed Francia in 1993, about Encinas' involvement. “Lydia Encinas was not the translator. But I did meet with her in Los Angeles” [4], answered Birchim. "Caruso also noted, that when asked to explain why, in the course of a criminal investigation, he had met up with a National Enquirer reporter in the first place – Birchim refused to elaborate." [4]

Another journalist, Victor Gutierrez, also claimed to have befriended Blanca Francia [5]. To explore why this connection is significant, please see our article about Gutierrez’s involvement in the allegations against Michael Jackson [link].

Like I said Blanca's testimony was shaky in itself - so if MJ had really molested WR the risk involved with him testifying was far greater than the potential benefit from it.

Some states permit postmortem defamation lawsuits, to allow the collection of monetary awards only if there is monetary damage to the reputation of the deceased, resulting in a reduction of the estate's income.

The estate could/should definately sue WR as this definately damages MJ's reputation and will effect on estate's income.

I agree 100%. If Mac ever makes allegations I will have a major crisis on my hands.
Although I owned BAD and Dangerous (loved that one!) I wasn't a die hard fan in '93 and I don't remember the time the allegations were made. I do remember from about '94 onwards when references were made to the allegations in the lead up to the HIStory album. As a MASSIVE MJ fan from about '95 onward I (as for all MJ fans) have had to put up with a lot, but I'm still here. BUT If I thought MJ was guilty I couldn't continue being a fan, and I think allegations from Mac would spell the end to be honest.

In an effort to remain positive about the current situation I have to say that I have been pleasantly surprised that most media outlets appear to be providing a balanced view of the situation, pointing out that Wade has previously defended MJ in court. Also, most of the reader comments on the pages I have visited have been criticising Wade's claims. Even those who think MJ is guilty are attacking Wade.
I don't think the BBC news in the UK has covered this in their TV reports. If they have, I haven't seen it. The allegation certainly hasn't been posted on their Android news app.
Sky news in the UK ignored the story the first day and added it to their Android app yesterday, which is a shame.
I don't read UK newspapers but as many of them have the story on their websites they will have put something in the 'rag'. I visited The Sun website yesterday after work and I had a job to find the story on the site. It wasn't on their homepage and it was buried on the showbiz news page so they're not making a big thing of it.
When I do a search for 'Michael Jackson' on Google news, the stories are overwhelmingly about the AEG trial which is good. Of course I think it representatives from both Wade and the MJ Estate of gone quiet now and it's likely to flare up again should there be any new developments but for now this is nowhere near as bad as '93 or '03. It's not the same witch hunt as it was on those occasions. Is it because MJ is dead now? Is it because Wade's claims are tarnished because of his prior testimony and interviews? Is it because of the AEG case? I don't know, but I'll keep my fingers crossed it doesn't get worse.

The family are gonna say they've only just found out so when they defended MJ they were doing it because they believed he was a good person. Wade hadn't told them about it all yet according to them, so they won't have to defend their previous words.

I'm just not buying that. I agree with cinnanmon's post upthread, the family, or more esp the mother, is totally compromised even if they don't realise it yet.

Couldn't work out upthread if that was actually chantal robson's facebook page - did she actually quote the lawyers's words saying it was the truth? - Mj was a monster and all normal people in their hearts realise that?? This is the view from the lawyer for wade whose whole family were staunch friends and defenders of this monster for decades, going out of their way todefend him of child molestation allegations. Clearly none of them are remotely normal according to this lawyer.

The sister can use her age to say she had no idea what was going on late 80s/90s but the mother can't. Wade wasn't some orphan - he had a mother and she was the one who apparently enabled this abuse between 89-96. That mother was put on notice in 93 that the man her son was hanging round with was accused of child molestation of a similar aged boy. In fact acc to jerms' book she and wade were approached by victor guitterez in 91/92 and told that mj was being investigated by him for being a pedophile. So how on earth was she not on 100% high alert for any signs of abuse or anything at all suspicious. Acc to wade's complaint the abuse by mj went on for another 3 years. In fact she was so confident that mj was innocent that she allowed 10 yr old wade to be used to proclaim mj's innocence in the media 3 yrs into his alleged abuse by mj. If wade is wanting to appear credible, he's just going to have to sue his mother as well - she was the one who apparently allowed it to go on and she's alive - she's the 'monster'.

They had no problems to make a public statement against the estate.
They have no problem to make a statement denying slapping Paris and threatening TMZ that they will sue TMZ for slanderous claims.
That to me translates like Michael's estate and monies are worthy of protecting and fighting for, but not his his legacy and reputation.
They have no problems to defend themselves on public or in media, but they WILL NOT stand up for Michael.
They are the the ones that put the ball rolling, but they do nothing to stop it or helping Mike.
As long as there is money, like any other oppurtunists, they too use any ways to get it, never mind who gets thown under the bus on way. They think that Wade Robson is just a by-product of the trial, nothing more and what he says doesn't matter, but it does matter in the long run as Michael's reputation is on the line, and seemingly it wont stop until they run Michael's reputation/legacy to the ground.

Then again, nothing matters to them if they win the case against AEG, and they have money to live their lives as they please and don't have to depend on Michael's estate.

In fact she was so confident that mj was innocent that she allowed 10 yr old wade to be used to proclaim mj's innocence in the media 3 yrs into his alleged abuse by mj. If wade is wanting to appear credible, he's just going to have to sue his mother as well - she was the one who apparently allowed it to go on and she's alive - she's the 'monster'.

Good points. The stuff from 1992-1996 is going to be hard for her to justify as she was given warnings and this is before the Chandler's, so MJ wouldn't have expected it, and she could simply ask her son about it and see his reaction and then make sure she followed her son around with MJ like a hawk just to see.

Could work for a supine, incompetent media interview but wd that work for wade? Those allegations would tear a family apart - the level of betrayal felt by wade towards his mother would be off the charts. A mother allowing her 10yr old to parade in front of the cameras to defend a monster whilst he was in the middle of a 7yr long sex abuse from said monster, she's meant to be his protector. As bouee said, maybe joy is one of the does and if not, why not.

Well, we heard from Wade's sister and she's supportive. Based on that we assume his mother is probably supportive too. I think she probably is. But we don't know for a fact. She probably better be supportive otherwise she'll end up being one of the DOES...

I agree with La_C, she will probably pull a "we were fooled by this monster", acting all naive and stupid. Maybe they believe Wade's story, who knows? I'm sure when Victor Gutierrez talked to her, he planted some ideas in her head which she (rightly) dismissed at the time. But in the wake of Wade's newly discovered "memories" who knows what she thinks now.

I don't buy it for one second. Son has covered the entire earth with his PRAISE of Michael Jackson and that includes his mother and his sister.

You mean to tell me that in all of these years Mother Robson NEVER saw any troubling signs coming from her son?

They got up on that witness stand and were ADAMANT in their defense of Michael, now after Wade is not making the BIG BANK any longer, he choses to do what folks before him have done when their money is no longer right. That being they come up with a lame lawsuit in the hopes that Michael, and now his Estate will throw them a bone.

In my opinion, Wade made a huge mistake by going after money. If he was truly wronged and looking for real justice, he would be seeking it without a dollar sign attached. Once you attach a dollar sign to the madness, I automatically give your claim the side-eye. In this case, Wade gets the side-eye from both of my eyes!

Oh yeah, one more thing, in my further opinion, I believe that Wade Robson committed "career suicide" when he came forward with this bogus claim.

Am I the only one who find it weird how it was Kathy Hilton defending Michael in that video and not LaToya? She is happily signing autographs and posing for the paparazzi's, but she couldn't say "My brother is innocent" Not saying she had to make a speech or anything, but at least she could've shown some sort of support for Michael and let the world know she's in his corner.

I mean all previous cases were about the money (and yes, the Arvizo case too, no matter what Zonen claims - we all know they seeked out Larry Feldman first and that they also asked for victims' compensation - they just couldn't go for a civil trial first because of the law that changed since the Chandlers). And it's usually held against those accusers, it certainly makes their credibility questionable. So if I was a real victim, looking for justice I'd go out of my way NOT to make any monetary demand, just looking for a way so that I get my justice. In this case maybe in a strictly UNPAID interview with not a tabloid, but with some more serious program. Something like that. I'd want the world to know - that would feel more like justice than trying to pass a creditor's claim quietly, in secret. How would that be justice? It wouldn't punish Michael in any way. A dead man has only his reputation and legacy left. So I'd go after that (strictly unpaid!), not money.

I am not here to defend the Robson family in any way, but I feel we need to careful not to vilify them without the facts. For all we know they were as surprised and shocked by Mr Robson's "confessions". He could be saying 'remember that time when Michael and I went to such and such, that was the first time it happened. And then there was the time when you guys dropped me at Neverland for such such, well then it happened again.' I think we can all appreciate that kind of news coming from a loved one would be shocking and heart-breaking. And in most cases, you would have to side with your family member, especially if they claim that their break-down was because of the abuse.

It will be quite a different thing if THEY claimed that they knew all along that Michael was a 'monster'. But until we actually KNOW FOR A FACT what they are claiming, I would not start demonising them.

I know we have seen the sister's FB page and we have looked at tweets she had sent out recently, but we need a more precise timelime from Robson before can properly construct a defense/offense.

On another note - I am still unclear as to whether Robson is claiming repressed memory or suppressed emotions. For the former, he did not REMEMBER being abused over a 7 year period. And for the latter, he knew all along but was keeping the secret. My vote is still for suppressed memory as a strategy cause the other strategy sinks his ship.

I am going to have to re-read what the lawyer said, as opposed to what TMZ said he said!
