The Jacksons Las Vegas Residency

Help me put here, what do I need to inform myself? Despite what Jermaine said/did, it is still true some MJ fans are finding joy out of lack of sales for the Jacksons show.. And there are other brother involved in the Jacksons aside from Jermaine, so to finding an excuse that it is ok to find joy in lack of success with the GROUP because of something 1 member said is still not very tasteful.

I'm well aware of Jermaines Jealousy towards Michael, I still wish success for every Jackson.. In fact I wish on it so much because the more money they make off them doing WORK the less they will find a reason to mooch.

It seems you're aware Jermaine has been such a bad brother then (the worst from the J4.) Now explain to me, why would we all have to be happy for them? If 1. All of them showed themselves why Michael got away from them for years. 2. All of them have ridden in his coattail to revive their "careers" telling the same stories all over again and some of them Michael already told years before, they don't rely on themselves. 3. Most of them jumped to the bandwagon lying he was sick and an addict in denial when they hadn't seen him years. 4. Yes, they supported him in the 2005 trial but took advantage of the occasion to ask him money and trying to force him to tour with them.

If you're still a fan of them despite of their schemes, greediness and the bad brothers they've been to Michael (Jermaine specially,) is up to you but don't pretend everyone has to be happy if they do well because many of us won't. I don't care if they do well as long as they don't use Michael every time it provokes them to promote their stuff. If they were truly talented on their own right, it'd speak for itself but the truth is that those men in their 60s still need their little, super famous and talented brother.

And I can't speak for anyone here but myself. I'd never support and/or admire backstabbers who took advantage of Michael and harmed him or his children, no matter who they are. My loyalty is with him and his children, no one else.

1. Some fans are going to have to accept the fact they will FOREVER be linked to Michael - he was the lead of there group and the biggest artist that ever lived, and there brother...

2. As far as Michael being an addict to something or not that will go on someone's perception of the difference between dependency and addiction. IF he was addicted at one point it would not be out of line to think of him as an addict even 10 years later because neurologically once an addict always an addict. an addict always fights with addiction even if they are not doing what they are addicted to, it's a daily battle forever. It is interesting to me though how we (which I've done too) can stand here and say MJ was NOT an addict because WE know better but most of us have not even laid eyes on Michael in person but his family cannot have an opinion.. Oh wait!! They can, but only when its positive.. Those are the only ones that are true!!

3. As far as asking him to tour with the Jacksons in 2005.. it had little to do with the trial, reason I can say that is because they freaking asked them to record and tour with them non stop since the 80's.. 2005 was no acceptation..

4. complaining about the Jacksons sharing the same old stories to make money.. yeah? so?? If my family could tell stories about me in a concert and make money for it I hope to GOD they are not stupid enough to pass that up.. Feel free to tell them stories on how I ran to the candy store and sold candy to kids in the neighborhood all you want... make $ out of it, just be respectful to my image!!

5. All in all, we all know that the Jacksons would much prefer not to ride the coattails of Michael... They all try doing there own thing and it does not go anywhere.. That's just the truth, they know deep down even though they wont admit it to each other or to the public without Michael there would be no Jackson 5.. With there egos they would LOVE to have huge success without thought of Michael... If they could they would, but the truth is if they want to be in the entertainment industry.. MJ would have to connected to them.. It's just the way it is, and they don't like it anymore than you.. they can just make something off it unlike you or me...

And since when representing MJ's name in an MJ forum did we start holding hate in our hearts the way many fans do?? What happened to even towards enemies saying "I wish them only the best".. I know anger makes it hard to do that, but isn't that the level of consciousness we try to reach? If so how could I be wrong for promoting that type of thinking?

I do hope it works out for them. They should be doing their own thing. Michael was their brother and that connection will always be there. You can't see them without thinking of Michael. The Jackson 5 songs are their songs too and they have to make a living. I would rather them make their own money than waiting for Katherine for example to give them money that she gets. I am not assuming anything just giving an example.

They depended on Michael too much and I think their parents made them dependent on Michael. I don't know just guessing but years ago when they were going separate ways that there should have been more encouragement doing their own thing than constantly trying to get the group back together. Especially from Joe and Katherine. I am not being hateful or anything like that. It just seems it was never accepted that Michael wanted to do his own thing and I think the others did at some point too. Look at Janet, she did the right thing in her career. Not relying so much on the Jackson family. Everyone knew who her family was but she did things on her own.

I really think that if Michael had been left alone about touring with them or getting back together with them that he on his own might wanted to do something with his brothers down the road. Maybe he would not have wanted to either but you never know as you get older you change your opinions on things. He wanted them to do their own thing and be successful and he didn't always have to be a part of it.

I don't mind if they talk about Michael in their shows. It would be weird if they didn't.

Actually I was just gonna answer, wrong button...

It's not hatred what I feel, I can't speak for other like I said before. It's an absolute contempt towards their actions, money has been more a priority than Michael's well- being (whwn he was still here) and nowadays his legacy. How can you ask wishing the best when their actions have been so despicable? Impossible in my case. It doesn't bother me they perform using the hits Michael helped to make classics but the lame interviews telling the same all over again and telling how Michael hid under the bed to avoid watching brothers getting laid is not precisely respectful.

The reason I won’t support the brothers is they never do or say anything nice about Michael unless they are promoting a project for themselves like this current show. Otherwise they are throwing out dirt about his addiction or saying some other negative thing about him that makes him look weak or incompetent. I don’t hate them but I can’t stand them because they have no character, no loyalty to Michael and no genuine love that comes off as sincerer and wholesome. They are too fake and sneaky for me and they have done too much damage to Michael and his children.

Shortly put, they capitalised Michael's death big time.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, I just got a chance to see them "singing" Can You Feel It in Arsenio show
There are songs that are made to sing in higher register, and CYFI is one of them, but none of cubs cannot sing it, and it truly sounded horrible. Why on earth they even attempt to sing something that they have no singing voice for it? There are plenty of other songs they could have chosen and suited to their voices better, but that was just no no. A bit like LaToya trying to "sing" Earth song, and failing miserably.

JACKIE JACKSON SHARES VEGAS PLANS AND MORE
SheKnows spoke with Jackie Jackson as The Jacksons prepared for their 40-day Vegas residency. We learned about a "bittersweet" tribute to little brother Michael, and discussed their long life in the limelight.

After 50 years in the business and 25 years since their last album, The Jacksons are leaping further into the limelight once again. SheKnows talked to Jackie Jackson and learned about what we can expect from their 40-night residency in Vegas, news on an upcoming album and more. A little starstruck? Sure. But, we got the news and we're excited to share it with you!

First, on Feb. 20 The Jacksons will kick off a 40 concert stint at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino as part of the resort's Rock Tellz and CockTails series. Each night, the show will feature performances from The Jacksons, as well as plenty of rare or never-before-heard stories from their 50 years of growing up together, working together and performing together. During the show, the brothers — Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon — have planned a special moment to honor one of the youngest members of their family, Michael Jackson. Jackie says things tend to get a little teary around then, too.

"That always happens, especially when it comes to Michael's part of the show. We kind of honor him during the show, we call it the bittersweet moment," Jackie told us. "Some people cry in the audience. ... But, then the music starts playing and people start dancing and having a good time."

We're sure many fans will look forward to seeing that very special and meaningful tribute to the late Michael. While Michael's presence can only be felt in spirit, Jackie said fans shouldn't be surprised to see visits from the rest of the Jackson family, too. Like always, the Jacksons turn everything into a family affair.

When Jackie and his brothers aren't on stage, they're also working on some new tunes. Despite touring off-and-on for the last couple decades, The Jacksons haven't put out a new album since 1989. According to Jackie, though, the brothers are in the midst of ending that streak. The foursome has been in and out of the recording studio and fans should expect a new album from them soon.

"Of course! We've already started, and now we'll finish up because we're all gonna be together in the same place so we can start working on it once everyone gets here," Jackie shared. "We'll work on the album in the morning and in the afternoon and evening time, we'll do the show."

We asked Jackie about his first time in the recording studio and he shared a little about the experience, as well as The Jacksons' hands-on approach to making their records.

"That was awesome," Jackie remembered fondly. "We'd never seen a recording studio before and all the things that take place. There's so much to learn about producing and making records. Motown was pretty much like the school, a learning place. They taught us well how to do all that: Produce and write songs. It was like going to a college pretty much. We're hands-on when it comes to stuff like that. We know exactly what to do in the studio, what it takes to make a hit record."

What's next after they do their time in Vegas? It sounds like The Jacksons are back on the road with planned visits in Europe and Asia. Fifty years later, and there's still no slowing down those Jackson boys!

Be sure to catch one of America's most beloved families in Sin City between Feb. 20 and April 27 for what is sure to be a one-of-a-kind experience.

40 times pretty empty halls.

total seats: 1360

1st show:

seats unavailable: 519* (38,16%)
seats available: 841

*includes give-away tickets

^^ That why Jackie said in the interview above:
"Jackie said fans shouldn't be surprised to see visits from the rest of the Jackson family, too. Like always, the Jacksons turn everything into a family affair."

I hope the visit from family members doesn't include PPB.
They need to ask if Janet wants to open to them. That should fill in the empty seats.

"We know exactly what to do in the studio, what it takes to make a hit record."
:giggle:

Btw, I'm glad to see all the recent interview it has been Jackie and not (liability to J4) Jermaine.

In other words, MJ fans hurry to our shows you don't know when the kids are going to show up.

How much would it cost to have the whole tribe at some 5-star hotel in Vegas for a couple of days? probably more than the revenue of their show.

So the estate better hand them the money than pay for the family holiday in Vegas as usual.

Janet opening for the Jacksons.. Yeah it would bring tickets in, but if anything they should open for her...

From Robin Leach:
My ticketing spies tell me that the late Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, is bringing her grandchildren to support The Jacksons in “Rocktellz & Cocktails” when it celebrates its official grand opening this weekend at Planet Hollywood.

Katherine will have Prince Michael Jackson II, aka Blanket, and Michael Jackson Jr. in tow for the debut shows Thursday and Friday ahead of Saturday’s official star-studded red-carpet gala premiere.

I don’t know yet which night Michael’s daughter Paris will be in to see the new music-and-storytelling show that will rotate with Meat Loaf as the headliner in Adam Steck’s production.

They couldn't sell tickets in their own, so they had to bring in Michael's secrets, and when that didn't increase amounts of tickets sold, they run to mommy again, and KJ is on board again using other people to benefit those useless cubs.
I hope family fans cancel their tickets or at least not buy tickets because of kids might appear there. They don't deserve to be used like Michael was used in his time :puke:

Why can't they leave those poor things alone? All event around them since Michael's passing are "family" affairs and most of them using the children. Some of you ask to wish the Jackson's the best and don't criticize them, how dare you? I hope Prince realizes soon the 3 of them are being used and I hope where Paris is, don't let her go. How disgusting the children are used as a hook to increase the sells! :puke:

I got a feeling that KJ has some sort of book in where she keeps on track which of her sibling's turn is next to use Michael's kids for promote they crappy projects.

I just wonder if kids appearances don't save their show, what they are going to do next? Dig out Michael and put his coffin in the centre of the stage? I just cannot fathom how do they dare to use kids this way, and don't they even feel shame that they have to resort that sort of actions in order to get house full. Maybe because KJ got them accustomed that if they themselves are not successful, bring in someone else who could bring audience and they see nothing wrong with it. Shaking my head on their lack of self respect.

you never know with the jacksons. anything is possible.

It is not going to work. They used the kids to sell tickets for the Wales fiasco and that project went bankrupt. Joe used the kids to advertise his perfume and that went bust. Now the kids are being used again to boost ticket sales of this show, and the results will be the same.

The thing with Jackie and others is that they boast too much when they give interviews. Saying we know what to do in the studio is one such instance. They need to be humble, so that when they don't come up with an album, or the show has limited sales, they don't look foolish. Running around on every tv interview boasting about your greatness is not good when you can't fill a small venue and need mama to bring little kids for show and tell.

Well said Petrarose. Thats what I've been thinking of their characters, that they are lacking humbleness.
When they got back on show business, they started with the same attitude than they left behind well over 20 years ago. They should have try comeback with more humble, and less attitude, maybe they could have gotten more audience to their shows.

So, how was it? Is the setlist the same as on Unity Tour?

Watching the @Jacksons live while sitting 10 feet from Kathryn, Joe, Prince, and Blanket Jackson. Watching their reactions is surreal.

:no::angry::mat:

Poor Blanket had to celebrate his birthday by supporting J4 in LV.

If they act fast, they can whisk kids to UK to support 3T too. While still in Vegas, and before they send kids to UK, they can stop on Joe's perfume stall for little promotion.

^^Well good to see the family turn out to support them in Vegas. I hope they bought tickets and did not get complimentary ones. Kai seems to be a family hanger on now since they gave her a job.

Check out Prince's tweets, poor kids:no:

Blanket is not looking impressed having made to go watch some old relatives trying desperately hang on their glory days.

Today is supposed to be the gala night or whatever, but I will see red if they have dragged Paris to there too.
