Every time I try to insert a picture or a video it becomes just a link. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, but then it only becomes a link. Same problem with both my laptop and iPad. I use Safari on by iPad and usually internet Explorer but somethimes chrome on my laptop, is there something with my account, permissions?

Yes, you aren't using the correct process. The posts I've looked at so far have been tweets. You need to use the "embed tweet" function for those. Please see my response to you in the "Attention Moderators" thread, for further clarification :) For anything that is not a tweet (images, videos, etc) please try the method I shared with you in my PM.

Can you see the "insert image" and "insert video" buttons above your reply box? They are third and second from the end, respectively.
When you click on either one of those, a window pops up and then you can copy and paste the URL for your media into the tool bar.
