Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

They mentioned the anniversary on the country station that I listen to. Nothing major, just a quick mention.

so while #10YearsWithoutMJ was trending no 1 yesterday, how did #beatlesday (?) do??? Does little Paul regret it already because noone gives a f*ck about a beatles day?

I heard P.Y.T and ABC today on the radio! they even mention Michael anniversary and the lady on the radio was singing to ABC. they also mention Prince too because June is also Prince is Birthday month. :)

It's scary how true this is, and it's even scarier that there are people who will just blindly believe it

If I claimed today I was abused by Michael Jackson inside an office of the Twin Towers in 2011 / the press would just scream “Another victim comes forward” without doing an ounce of fact checkin’
— MJ101 (@MJ_1_0_1) June 27, 2019

LOL! Michael was gone before 2011. but i understand what they mean. this very important because if they do this every 10 to 20 years we need to be caution. there's gonna be 15th and 20th anniversaries and so on. we need to be prepare for theses things.

Overall yesterday went better than I thought it would..... I was expecting loads of negativity and bad articles, but despite a handful of anti MJ stuff, the majority of material was actually more on MJ's side. A solid majority of the mainstream media articles acknowledged that the cancel MJ movement failed, and that his music is still incredible. While Leaving Neverland was mentioned most of the time, I will acknowledge that many of the wild end of the world narratives from March seemed to have tamed down a bit. I am happy to see that. Just shows MJ is like Coca-Cola, the Catholic Church, McDonalds, etc. Once something is embedded deep in our cultural roots , its damn near impossible to tear it down.

You realize McDonalds had something to do with this too....

See, you all should realize that also without the worldwide airing of "Leaving Neverland" this year the media would not have hesitate to adress ALL the allegations ( together with Robsons and Safechucks) their conviction and other negativity about MJ to its extent and pull MJ trough the mud on the 10th anniversary of his passing!
They never struggeled to do this trought his life, after the vindification in 2005, even in the horrible weeks after his death when millions where in deep grief about the painful incredible, sudden loss of this beloved man, they had absolutly no skrupel, like every other anniversary of his passing and birthday since then!

The only difference is that some tributes on TV on radio, newspapers did not take place but which MJFan really needed this help of the media to honar and remember Michael?
Nevertheless the mediapeople would have also not put much effort into this tributes and the result would have not look better then on his 60th birthday which was dissapointing for me.
So better they did not even going to try to create this many worst tributes!
Noone can pay better tributes to Michael then people who love him and his art and this MJ Fans did a much better job then any mediapart would have done this!

Nothing has changed when it comes to the media and their treatment of Michael Jackson and after "Leaving Neverland" this injustice maybe will never come to an end!
But what also will never change is that maaaaaaaaany people will always love this man remember, honar celebrate, take care of him, reconize and spread the truth like he deserves it in 100 of years to come!

The media hadly ever mentioned mjs anniversaries anyway. There agenda is to wipe him from the face of the earth.and if they did report it was in mainly a negative fashion anyway. the MSM is not needed anymore. Social media showed that he is loved. So concentrate on the reality and not the agenda pushed by a dying industry.

And the public and radio showed great loved and did not even mention LN for those who spoke. Overall it was great. Do not let the few outlets take the joy out of what the OVERALL public/radio/stations did.

I see that it seems to be confirmed that the MJ HIStory statue has been removed from the lobby of the Mandalay Bay hotel in Vegas 'for the summer'.

I'm surprised it may not be there for MJ's birthday celebrations....

I hope the Estate makes an announcement. They did so when the statue was inaugurated, so should have done so regarding the removal, or non-fans will assume this is a 'win' for 'LN'.

I hope Taj's documentary doesn't become just a bunch of talking heads. It needs to be investigative and fact based.

Damian’s article is a great one - send the link to it to all the ones who are ignorant. I enjoyed the summary up until now. I liked him putting together what we should glean are the most poignant inconsistencies👌

Article

I read the most amazing article today from a man named Damien Shields, he was talking about the lies that have been said in the Leaving Neverland document, I have never and will never believe Michael did any harm to a child but what worries me the most is the truth may never come out that he was innocent because he isn't here to defend himself. I also read that there is suppose to be a documenty from his bodyguard being aired but I have no idea when this is supposed to be, can anyone tell me when this is supposed to be released?

I hope Taj's documentary doesn't become just a bunch of talking heads. It needs to be investigative and fact based.

A documentary thay consists of only people saying "I don't believe it because I knew him" is of limited use. nobody cares what somebody who knew him thinks because people close to criminals don't realise what they're up to all the time!

No, Taj's documentary needs to focus heavily on the facts, supported by evidence. Screen shots of legal documents. photo evidence. Video evidence. The train station story is a perfect example of when all those things are useful. Show video, photos, planning documents, and even the news report from December 93. Then throw in a short video of ex-Neverland staff confirming the dates and that is a VERY strong case to say the allegation is IMPOSSIBLE.

Taj also needs to humanise Michael Jackson again. So yes, he does need to include personal testimony from people who knew his character. Home video extracts, similary to the MJ's Private Home Movies show.
Celebrity endorsement can be powerful so if Taj managed to get a bunch of high profile celebs to add their voice to his documentary then people would listen, BUT he won't manage to do that because those who believe he is innocent are too scared stick their neck out in case it damages their own career prospects. Sad but true. Taj has said this on Twitter, though he won't name names.

To do a proper job, the documentary will need to be long and probably in multiple parts.

Sadly whatever he does WILL NOT get the support of TV networks. It won't get the same promotion from the media, or social media influencers that Leaving Neverland had.

So from that perspective it is likely to be almost completely ineffective in restoring MJ's image. After all, if it appears on streaming sites only then only fans will seek it out and we ALREADY KNOW that MJ is innocent. there are already plenty of YouTube videos and websites debunking all the allegations. WE don't need us to see Taj's video. We need the general public to see Taj's video.

If you mean Matt Fiddes, his documentary will be out on the 13th of August.

That's my main worry. That it'll just be a bunch of people going "he'd never do anything like that".

The Jacksons don't seem to get it.

Don't go on TV to defend him by saying "I know my brother" or "I know my uncle". That means nothing. nobody cares.
People needed FACTS when you were doing the TV rounds. FACTS!!

Dating Wade for X years does not mean he wasn't abused.

There were plenty of facts available but interview after interview was wasted.

Tell them WADE LIED when he said he didn't know the MJ Estate.
He lied when he deliberately included a story his mom already told him was false.
Tell them the judge called Wade out on his lies!
Tell them he tried to hide a book deal. Tell them the book drafts contradict his legal statements.
Tell them Wade claims to wants to raise awareness but filed UNDER SEAL!!
James (almost certainly) lied when he claimed MJ phoned him toward the end of the trial because his testimony was barred and it didn't make any sense for the defence to use him.
Tell them about James being sued days before he "realised" he was "abused"
They claim they don't want money but tell the media the accusers share the same lawyer who is known for using the media against defendants to force financial settlements!

Then there's the whole Train Station issue!

All of the above are provable facts, NOT speculation. I fail to see why they couldn't have been raised again and again in interviews. What are Wade and James gonna do? Sue? No because everything is provable through legal documents, depositions etc. Everything.

I found myself wanting to shout at the TV when the Jacksons were on TV and all they had to say was "I know my brother".

If the doc is full of that stuff instead of pointing out the facts above (and more!) then I give up.

I agree this is what needs to be pushed. This is why John Ziegal does a great job.

Most of the jacksons dont care enough to spend time educating themselves. The fans have a huge amount of knowledge because they love mj and want to defend him so actually put the work in.

What ever fiddes says will not help as he is a known liar who will say anything to get attention and had no realtionship with mj bar getting to hangout with mjs real security for a week in june 2002 because of his "friendship" with geller

Yes I agree, but if they don't know then they need to get somebody who DOES know to speak on their behalf.

Frustrating thing was Taj was on Twitter all the time communicating with fans. He KNEW a lot of this stuff but then was almost useless in most interviews he did with TV. He would be talking about the lies and evidence on Twitter and then a couple of hours later appear on TV talking about "I know my uncle", "I spent thousands of hours with him". "I know Wade". "He dated my cousin Brandy" etc. I told him many times TAKE evidence to interviews. Take extracts of court docs. Even if he couldn't show them to the camera as proof, at least he could have them in his hand and say "I have the court documents right here! and wave them around". Theatrical but potentially attention grabbing.

When he was on UK he was totally ineffectual. He looked like a defeated man. When he was on podcasts he was a completely different person with fire in his belly. WHY couldn't he do that on TV??

I really don't understand. He never explained.

As for Fiddes, as long as he doesn't say anything controversial to gain attention (like Mark Lester's favourite topic- sperm donation) I'm not really bothered if he was really MJ's bodyguard or not. Personally I don't think he was but I'm willing to believe the may have stayed in touch for years after the UK visit and so Matt may have some insight. The general public won't know the truth anyway. MJ needs help and there aren't many people offering it publicly.

I agree that those things need to be pointed out. However, it is ALSO important to include the fact that Robson dated Brandi. That is just as important as the other stuff you mentioned. That SOB claimed Michael didn’t want him around girls, yet he was dating Michael’s niece, whom MJ set him up with. Again, that needs to be pointed out, as well as the other things. The bottomline is that MSM and haters don’t give a damn about the truth; because they WANT this to be true. They will ignore any evidence because they are invested in this hoax/ conspiracy. If these two liars came out today and say they LIED, MSM would give an excuse for that. I stated in a previous post that Main stream media actually THOUGHT they could cancel Michael. They can’t. In Thierry DESPERATION, they will continue to TRY. The message from fans should be that”NOTHING you people try will mute or cancel Michael. Your lies will not silence him or his fans.”

Taj is not a great public speaker and not the best at clearly expressing what he's trying to say. He's a shy person. I give him credit for doing what he could. Nobody else was trying.

I doubt their egos or a free night in a 5* hotel would allow it

I have this idea of inviting Taj and Brandi for a ”guest chatt” if they are interested. Maybe we could create a subforum for members only and they could register and there we could discuss Taj documentary etc. What do you think about that?
