New MJ content (Possibility)

Actually Branca himself said in 2016 that they didn't release Dangerous 25 because they really want to focus on Dangerous 30th... there we are.
Same as they said in 2017 they want to release Ghosts and Thriller 3D in 2018... there we were..
I’m pretty sure he said “maybe” they’d do D30. That’s on him for even bringing it up, but it’s far from a promise.

how do you know that the outtakes are better? have you heard the ones which aren't released yet?
This is based on certain accounts from people who worked on and listened to these outtakes.

Like, Bruce Swedien who said that many better, complete songs did not make the 'Invincible' album simply because they did not fit the album's theme and cohesion.

Or, Rodney Jerkins who also stated that they left out better, complete songs than the ones that they eventually included on that album.

It has also been said that Michael Jackson (due to his dissatisfaction and anger with Sony Music at the time) decided not to include some of these better, complete songs on that album, but to keep them for himself so as to release them later on a different record label.

Most of these unreleased outtakes (from that era) apparently do exist.

yeah... but we got a lot of Invincible Outtakes already from leaks and posthum releases.

No.. he said what i said.

"we want to focus on D30".
Exact quote from TIFF 2017, when asked about a project celebrating Dangerous: “Well, it might not be Dangerous 25 at this point, it might be Dangerous 30. But yeah, we definitely wanna get to that.” Obviously it’s a bummer, but let’s not pretend they said something they didn’t say.

New content would be great, but let's get MJ's content represented to this new generation of music listeners in the best quality possible. REMASTER ALL OF HIS SHORT FILMS, PUT THRILLER & GHOSTS IN THEATERS, PUT CAPTAIN EO ON DISNEY+

And now compare this with Bad 25... even a standalone VHS copy DVD of a new dangerous concert would be better than just a re-release of the vinyl.. and where the heck is the chalk?
LOL. Well, to be fair, the chalk goes with the "Off the Wall" related projects, not Dangerous.:giggle::sneaky:

Speaking for myself, I'm not interested in a Dangerous vinyl, because I have nothing to play vinyls on; BUT vinyls have experienced a huge resurgence in recent years. There is probably also a large chunk of casual fans and new fans who don't have the Dangerous album and are interested in collecting something cool, like a red vinyl, if they have a record player. Vinyls undoubtedly have a better sound than CDs. The glow-in-the-dark vinyl for Scream (Halloween 2017) pushed quite good numbers, as I recall.

It's just a re-release of the album, with a red vinyl. You guys are pathetic for supporting it. We could support the album celebration, without the re-release. Typical lousy estate, and yall are the ones hyping it up, AS ALWAYS. (I knew we weren't getting any surprises, I was just pointing out what they did) And of course, there will be some 🤪 fans, to buy this crazy stuff (and probably some are in this community themselves).
But wait, there's more! If you buy it from Walmart, you get it in SILVER oooo

Link for proof
Link to early Black Friday ad that shows the album will be on sale for less on November 10th

Sigh... why can't this album ever get the love and respect it deserves?

The important matter is which master they use - I will not buy before I know if the sound quality is superb.

I actually do not have Dangerous on LP - so I could consider buying this if the audio quality is great.
Also I have a friend who is very exited for LP's. - Everything has to be on vinyl for him, so I could also buy one for him, but again - only if the mastering/audio quality is great.

Dangerous has always been stiffed on special releases - even 2001's SE sucked.

Exactly, Dangerous doesn't get that much love in special releases. It's better to not release nothing then this. This made no sense. How many times could we buy Dangerous? The vinyl is just colored. I bet some fans would buy this. I'm pretty sure a big chunk of Michael's fanbase doesn't have vinyl, and just streams the music. Or listen to it on YouTube. This was really unnecessary.

Where do I see this dangerous new release?
Depends where you live I think. For the USA, this just seems to be a Walmart release on colored vinyl. It doesn't seem to be related to the 30th anniversary of Dangerous. Walmart is known for having exclusive colored vinyl albums. Other non-MJ colored vinyl albums are coming out the same day as Dangerous at Walmart so this is sort of just an ordinary rerelease.

I won't lie, I'm mildly tempted to get it simply because it will be available for less during one of Walmart's early Black Friday things, and Dangerous is my favorite MJ album. However, I doubt the sound quality will be good as I think colored vinyls don't have as good quality as regular vinyls, so I think I shall pass. =/

Now if HIStory was re-released on vinyl in it's complete form and NOT as a shitty picture vinyl, I'd be all over that.

As someone mentioned above - I do not think this has anything to do with 30th anniversary?

This is just Dangerous on vinyl - nothing new, nothing special. No one - not SONY or The Estate has mentioned this or said anything about D30 - so there is not really anything to blame anyone - this is not a new or special release... Just Dangerous on vinyl re-print - that happens with all vinyls every now and then. This maybe just proves, that Dangerous still sells on vinyl so more copies had to be made - which is very positive.

MJ must have spend a lot of money on Ghosts - so they should focus on releasing that - and Thriller and The Making of's - on 4K Blu-Ray and digital - and stream.

They're not releasing anything. Stop giving your hopes up. Stop expecting the estate to release anything. They don't care & by now it clearly shows!

My sources say, a "new" audio release will be closely related to MJ Musical, will feature music from the Dangerous Tour and might include some bonus material, most likely will not be any unreleased/unheard material. Also there's a chance for a Dangerous Tour Bucharest to be re-released in 1080 (not 4K) or from some other city / possibly 2nd leg 1993. And some merch like Dangerous World Tour hoodies. All related to MJ Musical. That's it for 2022.

No thanks

All I care about at this point is just hearing all of the unreleased demos from 1976-1991. More specifically, Buffalo Bill and Chicago 1945. Having doubts I'll never get to hear those in my lifetime.

IMHO its really not smart from the estate to just not release anything for so much time..
cause i just realised that i almost don't care anymore.. and i think lots of fans gave up on this already..
so when estate finally decides to do something no one really cares for it anymore.. it will definitely lower the sales.. it would be different if they would keep MJ in the public eye contant with little releases..
