Besides Michael's untimely and sudden death, name ONE thing you wish never happened to him. :/

Father with similar drive, but without the abuse. Had MJ not suffered the physical and emotional abuse he had from his father, there never would have been the Safechucks/Robsons/Chandlers/Arvizos. There would have been people trying to leach, for sure, but he never would have emotional trauma that led to sleepovers, which is what led to his early death and tremendous pain the last 16 years of his life. He also would not have hated himself, which led to a lot of other issues.

Don't most of us wish we had different parents. Though the father played a big role in shaping Michael's personality and problems, as adults we can choose differently.
Perhaps if he had found love in later life, or someone who could say no and help him make right decisions.

I wish he:

-Never hung out with children, I don't believe anything inappropriate happened but there was no way the public would see it with good eyes and he stained his own legacy by doing so.

-Didn't back out from many deals and put himself into bigger debt, imagine all the things we could've gotten from that 2 Sea Records contract.

Wade Robson winning that dancing competition in 1987, dsiqualifying him for being too young and thus not winning and not getting the chance to meet Michael.
His hair catching on fire.
Him agreeing to do an interview and documentary with Martin Bashir.

Those 3 come to mind the most.

It's not Michael's fault he was falsely accused.

No, but he could've absolutely prevented the second allegations from happening if he stopped being around kids, everyone around him told him so but he was a fool to not listen.

If it wasn't for any of the allegations he would be the biggest superstar to ever exist but to this day there are a lot of people that still doubt his innocence.

Sadly, I agree with that. I don't know if he could have prevented it, there are so many greedy people in this world, but could have reduced the possibility. If I leave my house open, and someone robs me, I was naive, but if I keep doing it again and again, at some point I have to take some responsibility.

His hair catching on fire. It made him to become addicted to drugs and I think it could be a reason to several bad decisions he made later.

Unfortunately, most people believe it, but mj has many millions of fans around the world who believe in him

All of the above. Also, Lupus.
100% agree too. To me in retrospect, it is hard to break down just one particular thing that I wish never happened to him, he did not deserve these forms of cruelty or brutality of any kind, let alone some of these things absolutely could have been prevented if he had the right people to trust and to make more clear, responsible decisions.

This.

Impossible to pick just one thing. I want all of it to go away. But, yes, the lupus was a big deal. Any autoimmune disease is bad news. I mean, vitiligo is hard enough to deal with but lupus is a whole other level, I think. Facial rash. Scarring of the scalp. Can cause severe hair loss. Made worse by stress.

I'm constantly blown away by how strong Michael was, dealing with all of this.

Exactly, and to endure all of that in itself is just terribly painful and agonizing.

His strength still blows my mind to this day as well, I couldn't imagine what he went through.☹️

You mentioned Michael's strength and it reminded me of a quote from Frank Dileo:

"Michael Jackson's not afraid to look into the worst suffering and find the smallest part that's positive and beautiful."

Usually I'm dead strict about not using or passing on quotes if I can't verify where they're from. I can't remember where I found this and didn't write it down (which is not like me). But I'm passing it on anyway. It just fits. I don't even know if this dates from the 1980's or if it's from the TII period. But I think this is such an accurate description of Michael. What Frank is talking about here is real strength. Even just visiting sick children or orphans, I don't know if I could do that. I might be able to do it once but could I do it over and over? Michael did it repeatedly. And that's just one example, of course. He showed his strength in so many ways.

Like you said, mind blowing.

Oprah that’s a bad word. Has she ever apologized to anyone for anything. I about puked when she was on the Adele special. What a mistake Adele made inviting Oprah. She labeled Adele a Icon. I mean she’s great but it’s a bit early for Icon status after 3 albums. Needless to say, sorry Adele, I had to change the channel when Orca came on. A bit off topic but you get it.
And she has become really fat again…
