Jesionka, I am literally going mad, atm. I have seen this gif before but not for ages and, as much as I love the image, it didn't land as hard as it has done today.

I want to post it on every single thread but Hiker would probably ban me for life. :D

At the very least, I want to see this on the side of a skyscraper. Or laser beamed into outer space. Or stapled to every piece of clothing I own.

Or something!

Hiker, quick FYI, while I think on.

Today I watched the BJ video clip on P.26 of the History Munich Multi tracks ... thread and I watched the whole thing, the whole performance. Which is the first time *ever* watching an HWT song all the way through. Usually I struggle to get even halfway. I don't think it's the start of a new era. I don't think I will ever love HWT or even want to watch it since the shows don't give me what I want from a gig. But I did enjoy watching this particular performance and thought it was interesting that I stayed with it all the way to the end. It was the filming and editing that did it. Really cool.

It's been a Michael day!

This is SO exciting!!

Listen, I completely understand why you are not super big on HWT given your preferences when it comes to live performances. I had heard such mixed things about it from fans (mostly very negative), that by the time I did a watch party with the ladies for the first time and we watched HWT Gothenburg, I was excited but not expecting to lose my mind. I was also not wild about the gold pants at that point.

But then...oh but then...

I was stunned by how amazing it was. Now, this was my first MJ concert all the way through, so that could have been part of it. But I also continue to return to HWT a lot for several reasons:

1) The set list is awesome IMO and a great change up from Bad/Dangerous, which have a lot of crossover.
2) Michael looks f***ing divine, delicious, incredible, ugh. Just everything.
3) The dancing is incredible!
4) He smiles a lot and interacts with the crowd more than any other tour. Still not a crazy amount, but those moments are some of my absolute favorites. When he laughs, talks about being shy, saves the bug...ugh. I'm in love.
5) There's just a really sexy, mature energy coming from Michael. He's just such an absolute sweetheart. I don't know that this is really a different point than 2 or 4, but I get so much out of it that I made it one lol.
6) While I will always always (always always) prefer live vocals, the showmanship on HWT is completely there, and it makes it so enjoyable to watch. I never anticipated that would matter to me much prior to watching this tour, but the fact that I return to it (often) when Bad and Dangerous exist says a lot, I think!
7) His whole stage outfit. Like I said, I wasn't originally a massive fan of the gold pants. I didn't mind it, but they weren't my fave (nothing will touch Bad tour outfits for me, obvs). However, I now just loooove it. I love the original look with the armor and all the straps on his legs, then when they take that stuff off, then when he opens up his gold jacket and you can see his white tee shirt (what is it with me and MJ in white tee shirts?!). It's like he's slowly undressing the entire show 😍

I could spend the rest of my life talking about the Thriller and Bad era curls and it wouldn't be enough, BUT...

these specific Dangerous era curls DO ME IN almost as much as the Bad era curls do!!! His hair in this entire video is just to die for. I could, and likely will some day, write epic poetry about his curls. No one would read it, but it might alleviate my suffering lol.
