In Japan, every edition is usually counted apart, but i suppose that it's not the case for downloads. In fact, it's written only Thriller.

However, these are the direct links:

37k copies (27k physical). 6th spot. (US charts)

Bad25 sold 47k physicals only (streams weren’t counted back then).

I see this as an absolute win for the Estate taking into account they released it and didn’t care after.

I think that they are partial results (updated on Wednesday). The definitive chart will be published in this link: https://hitsdailydouble.com/sales_plus_streaming

So the final results could be higher than these.

P.S. Keep on mind that HDD is not Billboard. It has a different panel. It's possible that the Billboard results can be higher (or lower) than the HDD results.

Hdd is usually right. I won’t hold my breath for a diff bigger than 2k.

Both Billboard and HDD are right. They differ on the sample of some shops and for this reason, the chart positions can be different. In 2014, Xscape topped the HDD chart, but reached the number 2 on Billboard 200.
In 2009, after the Michael's death, Thriller returned to number 1 on HDD, not Number Ones (that reached the top spot on the now defunct Billboard Comprehensive Albums chart).

Little things make the difference.

I'm not saying that this album can reach the top spot on Billboard. I'm only saying that before to say "#6 on US chart" is better to wait the final results of HDD and the Billboard results.

It's pretty impressive that Thriller has managed to chart in so many countries, despite zero promotion.

Michael Jackson’s former No. 1 Thriller returns to the region after its 40th anniversary reissue, vaulting 115-7.
It earned 37,000 equivalent album units (up 283%). Of that sum, album sales comprise 27,500 (up 820%), SEA units comprise 9,000 (equaling 13.17 million on-demand official streams of the set’s tracks) and TEA units comprise 500.

Thriller spent 37 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 1983-84 — the most weeks at No. 1 for an album by a singular artist. The only album with more weeks at No. 1 is the soundtrack to the film West Side Story, with 54 weeks in 1962-63.

Thriller was last in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 on the June 30, 1984-dated chart, when it ranked at No. 8. During its initial chart run, its last week on the list was April 20, 1985. It didn’t return to the list until Dec. 5, 2009, when the chart began allowing catalog (older) albums to chart again. (From May of 1991 through November 2009, catalog albums were generally not allowed to chart on the Billboard 200.)

Just imagine if catolog albums were allowed to chart before Dec 2009, Thriller would have had more than 1000 weeks on Billboard 200.
