I'm about to go crazy in this house right now...the 44seconds of what they have shown today...& WE CANT GET IT IN FULL? I just cannot understand why.....WHY WHY WHY do we only get clips. I can't for the life of me understand what the wait is!!!

For the sake of my sanity I no longer even ask those questions. I just can't lose my sh#t over this stuff any more. I agree with you, it's completely insane and I don't understand any of it.

For today, I am giving up grateful thanks for 44s of total bliss! That's what I'm focusing on.

Lol! Yeah, doesn’t make any sense. Although I have to admit, I do like the way 4K Munich looks, especially with those new camera angles.

But it doesn’t make any sense why they would hold back the Victory Tour, especially if it’s in 4K. It looks beautiful! They don’t have any excuse in my eyes.

Like...im speechless almost right now. The fact that this kinda stuff has just been sitting up for years...now I'm wondering why Michael never put any of this out. He limited himself as well I think. Lol he honestly didn't even need to do this is it. All he had to do was release these types of things & we would've loved it just as much & still had him here...maybe

Oh, I'm with you 100%. And then to the power of ten, lol. I don't think there's anything wrong with what you've said in this post and in many of your previous posts. With you all the way.

But I'm not giving MJE any more of my energy. Not happening. Bc it won't change anything, anyway.

I don't know why Michael never released stuff like this but artists are weird. They are perfectionists. They are not like the rest of us. So I'm not mad at him. Bewildered and frustrated but not mad.
 
I saw the screening in Amsterdam.

Pros
- Studio Footage!! I want more.
- Victory Tour Footage!! I want more.
- ET Story board
- More back stories. Recording of demo Wanne be startin' something'.

Cons
- No interview with Quincy Jones, producer???? WTF
- No interview with Bruce Swedien, Sound Engineer???? WTF
- No interview with Steve Porcaro, writer Human Nature.
- No interview with other Jackson Family members.
- Missing the known back stories.
- BTS/Tik Tok part.
- Order of the documentary.
- Audio. Some parts with low audio. Overall not a great audio experience.

I agree, the 4K Munich really changed the experience and all, but Victory is superior. I hope the film is not unusable or lost in 10 more years and they end up releasing a VHS rip or sonething.

Ridiculous. I know he's been talking trash about Michael in recent years but you can't excise him out of the Thriller story. Use archive stuff, if you have to.

That is a definite misstep, imo. There is archive footage of Bruce so just use it. Doesn't matter if it's been seen before. Not everyone has seen it and he's such an important part of the story, you can't leave him out. It makes no sense.

They show snippets of all Thriller songs live; WBSS, HN, Beat It and Billie Jean. And yes, Lounis confirmed me they used SD Billie Jean for the music vid.
 
Zero reason for any Jackson family member to be interviewed for this documentary. The absence of Bruce and Quincy is disappointing, but since the doc is still being finished I’m hoping they’ll rethink some things and include them.

As for that little clip, the studio footage and interview clip looks absolutely gorgeous! The live clip of “Human Nature” is boring imo; no different than the dozens of other Bad and Dangerous concerts we’ve seen. Hard skip for me. But everything else is heavenly and I can’t wait for it.

Yes, this documentary seems to be all over the place, even being a WIP still.
Who knows, maybe there's another documentary out there which covers the making of the album...
