So I'm planning on doing a YouTube video on this album, and this is one of the sources which has a lot of info on this album. But I can't tell if the info is legit or not. It says it's origin source is The Jackson Daily News but I can't find anything about it, can you guys maybe help me out find this news site?

As far as I know, this rumour originated from some fans, who were hugely dissatisfied with the whole 'Invincible' album situation.

These fans did not want to accept Michael Jackson's minimal involvement with the 'Invincible' album, they did not like the fact that the record company did not promote it adequately, they did not want to accept the commercial failure of it, and so on.

So, they came up with this so-called 'Resurrection' album, and this rumour later spread like wildfire.

Now there's a blast from the past!

I remember this rumour well. After the disappointment with Invincible this was supposed to the real MJ and hyped to be a better release etc.

Xscape got leaked and the MJ community losing their shit over the song 🤣, if I remember it was on repeat on a dodgy MJ radio website, that was the only way to listen to it.

Does anyone remember Michael Jackson's official website back in 2001/2002? I'm sure there was a radio theme and you had to click on the buttons to open links.

The official chatroom was well dodgy with some right weirdos on it 🤣

Yes, I remember! Gosh, the nostalgia hits bad.

oh good old times!!! how i miss it... i remember that the wannabe-official websites mijac.net (ran by a guy called Stefan) and mjstar.com often had half-true news about MJ.... I think mijac.net had close connection to Dieter Wiesner... and the website 100% spread the rumor about ISCHGL as facts and promoted the "snow-walk" as a new dance move Michael would show on stage for the first time. Completely insane and as we all know just made up. But both websites spread the "Resurrection" rumor completely.

Mjstar I remember that website!

Around 2005 they posted links to a brand new MJ album on their site , with 'official' track names etc. I remember being so hyped 🤣 it was fake!

Whattttt, how can you have contact with Dieter Wiesner and still be fake??

I have a question for the old time fans, was there any song title known at the time (like I Was The Loser, Water, Remember What I Told You or any other new song from that time) or did it only surface after MJ's death?

I wouldn't trust this website anyway.

Erm… what do you mean? Those you mention was never heard of at the time. But there were others. Michael would mention titles of songs he was working on from time to time, and those same songs wouldn’t necessarily end up on the next album release.

I don't mean just those, I mean all titles that were found in the notes in his bedroom like Hollywood Tonight, Days In Gloucestershire, H2O and others like that.

Most of those were completely unknown to me. The only ones I’ve heard of was Cheater and Beautiful Girl (and maybe one more?), for obvious reasons.

If I'm remembering correctly now at the time there were news about I Have This Dream and some will.i.am songs so I guess that answers my question pretty much lol.

Yes, I Have This Dream – there were news articles about that one. I mean, even in the Swedish newspapers (lol). So that one was known by name.

Hollywood Tonight did leak out in 2002, did it not. Very very poor quality but still.

Pfff-- Okay, I was not yet a fan at the time, so I only found out about this whole thing just now, but snow-walk?? God LOL that's terrible. 🤣

It makes me realize I probably communicated with some of you decades ago on different fora etc. Not that I can recall any names ( I can’t even recall my own nicknames, I tend to pick different ones all the time) but it just had to have happenend.
