It is known that Michael and Roger have worked together on 2 songs, Al Capone and Tomboy. Despite both songs didn't make it (officially) onto an album, both artists have thanked each on their own albums.
Now that we know that Tomboy was released in someway on the Zapp V album as "Stop That" (without giving any credits to MJ), I'm wondering if there was a contractual issue that prevented an official collabration between both artists.
This raises the question if Rogers contribution on AC could have led to SC? Maybe elements of his (uncredited) work are present on the Bad album, especially if considering that engineers who worked on SC refer to AC as an early version of SC.
