The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

What the hell happened to From Heaven to Grouse Lodge? You know, that tribute album which was supposed to be announced on May? It seems like the estate blocked its release, which is unfortunate because I was really forward to hearing some unreleased Michael songs, even if they have some input from other artists.
Seems like it’s either delayed or dead. Another user reached out to the overseeing company for an update and never got a response.

If it was blocked, absolute bonehead move. There’s literally no bad that could come of a project like that.

one of the sources said if the album isn't announced by april then the release was probably blocked by the estate, rip, sucks honestly id love to hear it

would love to listen to the before-Teddy 90s version of spyho

Awesome video thanks for posting.

I may have missed it but does he say that it is a pre teddy version? Remember the time is on there so it's likely the teddy version.

Imagine if the Estate opened a random vault somewhere and found 6 albums worth of unreleased material 😩

Knowing them they probably still mess it up somehow
6 albums of totally unheard songs means 1 new song per Thriller rerelease. With 6 other leaks, none of them Hot Street. And every song came to be in 2008 but the liner notes still say it was worked on in 1982 for Thriller...

Since Dangerous is the non-Teddy version and ITC being a version with solely MJ vocals, it's obvious that these mixes from Rob's MD are sourced from around the time when Teddy just had joined the team.

To my knowledge Teddy's worked initially only on songs he had contributed to MJ; Michael had handed over some of "his" songs to Teddy at a later stage - hence I assume spyho is most likely a non-Teddy version.

Jeffree was ordered by the court to produce 109 CDs/DVDs, five hard drives, three silver-colored Apple Macintosh laptop computers, two iPods, two Dictaphones with two micro-cassettes and three standard cassette tapes.

Following the Michael Jackson Estate demanding to inspect the allegedly stolen property in the possession of Jeffree Phillips, Jeffree will be turning over personal property owned by Michael Jackson to a third party to safeguard while he continues to fight the estate over claims he stole the items.

Jeffree was ordered by the court to produce 109 CDs/DVDs, five hard drives, three silver-colored Apple Macintosh laptop computers, two iPods, two Dictaphones with two micro-cassettes and three standard cassette tapes. The property will be stored by a man named Kevin Singer.

Singer is a specialist Court-Appointed Court Receiver and his role is to preserve assets where there is a dispute within a partnership or a company pending a decision on the matters of dispute.

The Michael Jackson property will be in safe hands until the dispute is settled.
Somewhere, Lord Jackson awakens from a deep sleep.

109 CDs, five hard drives (8 if you count the ones on the computers) and five tapes. There HAS to be at least a good chunk of songs hidden there.

Not that we'd know unfortunately. In fact, even if they find a releasable song from the later years who knows when they'd use it.
They at least said they'd do singles, back in 2018. Branca might say it's not in the plans now, but if there's a smash hit waiting they can't resist. In fact that may be a good reason not to do a cover album; put out the genuine article instead.

Also;

Still mental to me that the tabloid story from just after MJ died about stuff being stolen from his house is actually true
I been knew it was true. I willed it to completion lol.

Still mental to me that the tabloid remember there being pictures where the sisters (I mean all 3 Rebbie, Latoya and Janet) walked out of Michael's house 1 or 2 days after his death with big filled plastic bags. from just after MJ died about stuff being stolen from his house is actually true
I remember there being pictures where the sisters (I think all 3 Rebbie, Latoya and Janet) walked out of Michael's house 1 or 2 days after his death with big filled plastic bags.

so there was also private video-footage Michael celebrating Paris birthday with his kids (Paris to Prince: It`s my birthday not yours) which was sold to a paper and was everywhere in the TV just few days after his death. I really think it was Michaels home.

was it ever confirmed by anyone that Blue Powder is by Gary Hearne and not MJ? any interviews or something? can't seem to find any

It was. The tweet was deleted but it said this:

"#MichaelJackson Blue Powder is not a Michael Jackson song at all. Brad Buxer was helping MJ's driver Gary with the song (Gary wrote it and is singing on it.)"

There's also a section somewhere on this website from someone who heard the song and they also confirmed with Brad Buxer and Michael Prince that MJ never recorded it.

Yeah, TMZ is just unstoppable. They always know stuff.

No source I’ve been able to find.

Off the Wall almost certainly doesn’t have any material left over. Even when MJ put together the 2001 special edition, it’s the only album that didn’t feature at least one outtake. There are plenty of titles but so far we’ve gotten no actual evidence that any late ‘70s outtakes exist.
What about This Had To Be? With Brothers Johnson. Maybe there's a solo version.

I’ve always thought Michael’s vocals in the 2008 version of Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ sounded too youthful for being recorded circa that time. Were they pitched up? Were they taken from some 80s outtake?

I thought these vocals might have actually been from 2008?

They were almost certainly pitched up, if that’s the case. Late 2000s Michael actually sounds like late 2000s Michael when you lower the pitch of that song.
