I am so glad we are sitting this 1 out @zinniabooklover see what we have done ? we have created our own path of mad destruction already -, so much so we are too bloody knackered to join in :ROFLMAO: i might occasionally shout ideas at the thread LOL but im bloody done in

There is so much going on in this thread plus in my head (as is normal lol o_O) that I dunno anymore. My gutt feeling says:

Since all of us who want to participate in the story thread have such different backgrounds (which is awesome!), I feel like just improvising a story. Someone starts and everyone goes along. Everyone could join in even at a later point.

OMG I cannot handle the pressure :ROFLMAO:

I really like the idea of writing a fairy tale story together. Creating a fairy tale is a very powerful process. I'm in. I'm having a hard time visualizing exactly how to bring it to life. I wonder if men would get involved too))))))
Should I be Cinderella? I like the idea, but I don't insist. If someone really wants to take on that role, I don't mind. Does it have to be specifically one of us though?
Interestingly enough, I was born in 1979, just like my Cinderella)))))
And it could be a beautiful love story. That's so important! I watched Sweet Charity. And I especially like two things about it. The shot where Charity screams "Someone loves me! " And the line "Without love, life is meaningless." And Michael had a line with a similar meaning.
I hope I'm not too late with this post and the idea of a collective fairy tale is still alive.

This is a good suggestion. Let's keep it loose and free. Let's not put pressure on ourselves. No-one is trying to get published. We're not even trying to entertain anyone else on the board / thread. It's just for us, if we feel like joining in. Which right now I don't bc I'm super tired but let's see how it goes. We all know the basic story and some of us have seen a few alternative versions of the story. Plus, there is so much scope for bringing in different ideas.

Let's be kind to ourselves and just have some fun!

Something so never ending about stairs ..I get that. You could have a never ending sort of stair way or something
I love the horse too. Michael had a green jade type horse statue in Oprah i'd shout whenever the camera zoomed in to it on the tiny table - "there's the green jade horse ! must buy a green jade horse !" It was always known to me as 'the green jade horse ' not sure if it was or not.

My brain wants to do the same, actually, posting, quoting, writing down ideas, but the rest of my body can´t coordinate this quickly or my brain will get stuck :cautious: :ROFLMAO:

I still can't find my Piranesi image with all the staircases going in different directions. It's really annoying, it's a really well-known piece and usually comes up whenever I look him up. It's sort of like those Escher staircases (was he inspired by Piranesi?) but much better.

It would be a good one to use bc there is no illustration. So more scope to go wherever we want to with the story. Illustrations are fab and are needed but, for the cover, maybe specific pictures would be too suggestive?

Once upon a time, there was a girl. She lived with her father and mother. Their family was strong and full of love. In the evenings, they would gather around the fire. Her mother was spinning or knitting, and her father always had something to fix around the house. The fire would crackle in the hearth and the parents would quietly discuss household chores. Sometimes, and such evenings the girl liked best, instead of the usual conversation there was a fairy tale story.
