It goes without saying my focus on the hazel nut came from @bluemoon7 's 1973 film. I never heard of it in connection with Cinderella before but I am intrigued.
oh, I just posted about that. For me it's from the film that @bluemoon7 likes. But, also, I could remember a little bit about the magical qualities of hazel nut trees (I used to sort of study herbalism - forgotten most of it). So it was the two things for me.

One of the (many) things I love about Zolushka is the way she wears her little blue crown / tiara. On the back of her head at quite a jaunty angle. Our girl is NOT going to do things the predictable way. She is her own person. Yay!
