Ugh, I realized that I have a hard time making time for our story on weekdays. But... I have vacation in 2 days and it will be easier for me.
I'm so loving everything we've come up with! It's been a pleasure rereading everything. Now I'm calm for Cinderella, she has more and more helpers. How's the father doing in the hands of the evil beauty? .....
I'm going to go read everything I missed.)

After a long search among dark trees and thorny bushes they came to a beautiful bright clearing. The sunlight, having no obstacles flooded everything growing here, every blade of grass or flower was bathed in gentle warm rays.
Cinderella stopped, she looked with a smile at her companion, who was already spinning in a sunny dance of joy. The girl wanted to enjoy the inspiring view as well. Light, warmth was what she needed right now. But a feeling of urgency to go suddenly overwhelmed the girl, she ran. Strangely it was as if she knew where she needed to go and that she might not make it in time.
The stop. There it was. Ahead was the flower she was looking for. The flower of happiness and joy. And her hope for the return of her beloved parents, for finding a happy world.
The flower was found. Cinderella and the little yellow fairy continued their journey in the forest. They talked a little and the little fairy knew about the girl's mission, about how happy she had been with her father and mother until the trouble came. She remembered with horror her meeting with the terrible beauty, how she had tried to fight her, but could do nothing. Sometimes the interlocutors interrupted to overcome natural forest obstacles, which required a lot of effort. Shrubbery, small streams in ravines, tree branches and beetles. Yes beetles. Strange - thought Cinderella - I don't see animals at all, and these crawling creatures meet more and more often. Soon it became difficult to walk, fast insects were climbing under her feet, and the girl did not want to step on beetles at all. The little yellow fairy noticed that Cinderella's steps became slower and more hesitant.
"I don't understand why there are so many residents of the Crawling Kingdom here, they usually take other paths this time of year. Of course they didn't know that these tiny creatures were at the mercy of the Wicked Witch. There was no time for reflection. More and more insects rose into the air and circled around the frightened travelers. Cinderella hastily hid the little fairy and the precious flower under the light jacket she was wearing. It was a good thing That she did it, because the bugs were getting more and more aggressive and the first bites had already appeared on the girl's skin. Cinderella drove away these flying creatures as hard as she could, but she couldn't walk anymore. Even that unbearable hum of flying insects became louder and louder. Her strength was running out and she felt like she was going to fall. A little more and ... Then someone's strong hands picked her up and Cinderella found herself on a horse.
- Hold on tight and say goodbye to the bugs, - said a man's voice with a laugh.

Cinderellas first intention was to knock his lights out. Who the ... What the....WHO... ...ARE YOU HMMMM ? ..! " She brushed down her skirts, Angry that this stranger had grabbed her. This was too much to bear! She challenged him . Looking deep in his eyes. She grabbed his lapels on his elegant white finery and, nose to nose - questioned him about what was happening.
He couldn't really tell her because he didn't know himself. Just that, he was sent to save her at that precise moment. To which she raised an eyebrow. "Really dude? , because I could have taken out everyone of those damn witches evil beetles..." He was about to add to their now growing conflict, because he found her rather ungrateful and rude ...but he bit his nobleman's tongue giving the little fighter the benefit of the doubt. Her sudden burst of anger was probably because she was so very stressed , so he kept quiet, In fact, finding her quite a rare charm in this neck of the woods. He let her realise though, that she , he, his horse and (the little yellow fairy , whom , was still tucked away safe and sound) were flying high into the sky untill they came to a glowing broken bridge.

My thoughts-
Last thing people want 2 feel is too much pressure ,and as one knows that is not what writing tends to be about. It's usually a release. But i will say this oh glorious goddess es of the moon and forests fairy's:D wendijane can't write happy , Disney .....i dont really do well on Pratchett either.😟


so , u know -if i chip in , it will always be a little bit kooky with me. yeah thanks Koontz , Scott , and other stories lol :censored:If that is okay with everyone and if you don't mind. i'm going to back off.

...maybe-I'll just add a smattering of kook here n there. :love:But seriously ladies , I wouldn't want to murder the vibe. :( I think that people are kind of wanting a more traditional story which is magically beautiful. Sadly , I like Tragic magic . Botanical satanical .

Hm, really? Soon to be released? There's an awful lot to be sorted before that can happen. Is Cinderella's dad dead or merely kidnapped? Where is he being held? Can he escape or be rescued? How can that magic powder be used? Where do these wild roses grow? Will they have poisonous thorns or will Cinderella be able to pick them freely? Is there room in Cinderella's life for a goat? I ask you? Goats are very intelligent, very inquisitive, use the sneeze sound as an alarm and would rather leap over water than step into it. Surely there is room in her adventure for a goat!

And now I shall cease and desist. :D

Never been able to do the Pratchett thing, either. I did read one which I quite liked but couldn't find it again when I tried to. Every one I looked at that sort of rang a bell was just 🤮

I have no freaking idea what I want. Except I seem to be always trying to slow things down a bit. 'Let's have a little interlude here, shall we?' That seems to be my thing. :ROFLMAO:

I think the stuff I've added has def been fairly traditional but maybe that's more to do with lack of imagination on my part than anything else. I placed Cinderella at the edge of a wood, everything has magical properties, the fairy godmother travels by magic. It's all very standard.

Adam's version of Cinderella in his video is pretty much my perfect version. Even though I love those dresses in the LadyBird books version, I love Adam's outfit way more. His car is better than the coach. His black panther means his version rocks!

it was sooo popular at college i sat it out. i didn't like the humour i don't like to laugh in fiction that would be a challenged wendi making it write comedy lol thats where Koontz, king come in babe i thought there were some good ideas later , more recentness but i really ever can't be happy reading the majority of it

I think that the Hazelnut tree idea is poignant zin n one of the strongest developments yet and maybe people can play with the idea more , explore since M is very much about trees ....

I did get caught up in the whole hazel tree thing although, tbf, the idea came from that film that @bluemoon7 loves. It has hazel nuts in it, apparently.

I can't remember who came up with the idea of writing our own version. Wasn't me, that much I do know. On P.1228 I tried to gather together various comments and suggestions that had been made about the idea so that could be another starting point. There was also some talk of getting a separate thread going but that hasn't happened.

I think @hope did the opening paragraph for the story:



And it goes on from there and there's loads already so it'll take a while to get through, lol. And I need to take a break bc I was doing too many bits and I've got to crack on with boring RL stuff and @bluemoon7 is watching from the sidelines which I can understand so already it's become a mad thing. The story is pretty good, though, if I do say so myself. Acutally, I just remembered, @@mjfanatic777 read through the whole thing last night and it didn't seem to take her very long so maybe it's not as daunting as I thought. 🤔
