'Flow'. Yes, I read that back in the day. Gretchen Rubin. Sonya Lyubomirsky. Martin Seligman. Can't remember who else. In the end my interest started to drift away. I don't have any desire to revisit those books but your comments about Michael and how / where he fits into all of this, now that IS interesting.

I've forgotten a lot of it, tbh. Although earlier this year I did pick up a 2nd hand copy of a book about the Stoics bc I had always intended to find out a bit more about their approach to life. Of course, I haven't read the book yet. It's been sitting there! But I'll get to it eventually, lol. Actually, I wouldn't mind re-reading the Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi book. I have a feeling I'd get more out of it second time around.

all I know about the Stoics is Theodore Dreiser's Stoic, which I read a long time ago.

That was fabulous. Thank you so much for posting that. Can't get enough of baby goats bouncing around. Wasn't too sure about the wooden swing. In the wild, goats wouldn't come across ground that moves under their feet, lol. But it was very jolly.

I'm re-visiting a little vid I posted several pages back. Posting photos of cats and watching vids of baby goats seems to be my entire life atm. Actually, I wish it really was. Things would be a lot easier, lol.

cutest things ever!! during my time off of MJJC (and the time i plan to spend away from here later), i've been preoccupied with watching baby animal videos, and pretending that Michael and I watch them together. what a warm welcome back here. 🥺💕💕

Hey DJ!

I'm kind of amused at how often I post photos of cats / kittens or vids of baby goats. The cat photo thing, I never thought I'd end up doing that which sounds really snotty. Like I'm saying people who do that, oh god, aren't they so sad? That's really not how I mean it at all. It's hard to explain online so let's just say I didn't see it in my future and yet here I am - @Fuzball started it, iirc, he posted some cute cat IG's and that was it. I was sold, lol.

It's very therapeutic. Especially the baby goats. I love goats, anyway, but the energy and cuteness of the baby goats and the way everything is so interesting to them. They want to investigate it all. Just so lovely.
 
Been avoiding this one bc it's 8 minutes long plus - slow motion? Mm, not really for me. Turns out it is. I love this.

Sunflower Farm again. Baby goats in slow motion. Tchaikovsky's 'Waltz of the Flowers'. Plus a bit of jaunty piano music at the end. The whole thing is delightful.

@DarylJoel_B - FYI. The Nutcracker was one of Michael's favourite ballets so you could pretend you and Michael are watching this little vid together. Baby goats plus Tchaikovsky? How fabulous is that?

i'm already crying because I'm listening to Dream Away.

now i'm crying more. sometimes my own daydreams make me cry because they just feel too good and euphoric. y'know? i'm not used to feeling happy, especially as of late.
 
Finishing up. I have to post this since I don't agree with the version of 'Waltz of the Flowers' that Sunflower Farm used.

ooh, sidenote! Just realised. SUNFLOWER Farm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) 🌻 🌼 ❤️

Anyway, I'm very picky when it comes to ballet music. With 'Waltz of the Flowers', if the conductor doesn't get the ending right, they might as well not bother, imo. So here is a version that I think is much better. Bc I said so! :D

It's all about the pause at 7m 56s. If they don't get that pause right, if they rush right through, it's no good. Not for me, anyway. Plus, it's ballet music. The dancers need time to do their dramatic ballet thing. Think of the poor dancers trying to tell their story!
