The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

You re the one Jennifer holiday song .anyone have information if recorded his version

I remember hearing that demo a while ago but I thought it was one of those fake tracks you'd find on YT lol. Interesting to see that it was actually made for Michael I guess.

There Must Be More to Life Than This:

The version on Queen Forever was produced and mixed by William Orbit, containing the original backing track from the Hot Space sessions with May on guitar, Taylor on drums and John Deacon on bass. An alternative mix by May was rejected in favour of Orbit's. A solo version recorded by Jackson has been recorded and leaked but remains unreleased.

Has that alternative mix ever leaked?

The gold mix leaked a while back. Not sure if it's the specific "Queen" mix that Brian may was speaking about though. It's official in some capacity at the very least as it contains a part by Freddie that isn't in the other versions.

I think this was it, you might be right.

Was this included in the laptop leak? If so, how come no one has talked about it lol. And why does it end right when they're about to play the song? **** this teasing.
If it's from the laptop I imagine Brad edited it like that? I haven't went through all of the video files in the leak myself so not sure if that's one of the videos in there.

Yes it is from the laptop.

No, it was a 20 minute video. I was watching it and found out that they were talking about “Changes” at one point. I edited it down and sent the video in a MJ telegram group with this text:

I just wanted to know if you guys noticed this too? It is very interesting clip of Michael, Brad Buxer, Brad Sundberg and the Andraé Crouch choir while working on “They Don’t Care About Us”. Michael asks something about the song “Changes” to Brad Buxer and Brad Sundberg in this clip.

Small summary of what was said:

Michael: “Is “Changes” here?”

Brad Buxer answers: “They’re looking for it downstairs.”

Then Brad Sundberg says it is a 24 Track DAT.

I find this video interesting because a small snippet of the song leaked a couple of weeks ago. Just wanted to share this with you 😁.

I have the full 20 minute video, but I don’t think I can post it here. Maybe I should just upload it on youtube I guess.

This the full video when they talked about changes
This footage is so precious man, not just to see Michael actually creating and orchestrating his work, but to see how talented and attentive his collaborators were too.

Also hearing Mike throw out ideas for the adlibs, around 14 minutes in, is just amazing to see as a fan, his voice was effortless, the man had a gift.

This is a demo from Bill Botrell during the Barhain sessions. The session singer is Brian McCleod. MJ never sang on this track.
To complete :
"By the time Bottrell and the drummer Brian MacLeod arrived in Bahrain to record songs for the album, in June 2006, Jackson had left the country."
