The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

The '91 BOTDF demo hasn't surfaced. There's a CD from Teddy Riley's "Future Records" Studio that has a track called "Blood On The Dance Floor Mix 6 #24", but barely anything has surfaced other than I believe a length of 1:30 & it having rough lyrics from "Sunset Driver"?
on another cd there's a 7:40 minutes version of botdf

Guys I found song called world of candy .recorded in 2003 with a woman singer

damn those pre-edit song lengths were insane during the Dangerous era. The fact that 8 minute versions of both Jam and the Closet exist (as well as a 5:33 version of Remember The Time and a 6:23 TV mix of Someone Put Your Hand Out) is one of the many reasons why I wish those CDs could just leak already.

I want all these and the Dangerous Single that never released.

Cool link, if you read all of it , some of the songs have completely different alternative versions. The guy speaks of a slower version of jam and compares it to a carnaval.

This all makes for great possible deluxe re issues like the big Marvin Gay albums had.

When you know all of this exist you realize we really have had nothing yet, this stuff could breath new life into old songs.

Something not talked about here but very intriguing is the very first version of Beat It which had a heavy metal feel to it but then Quincy asked to tone it down because it was supposed to be a hit.

It’s a bit sad knowing all this is that we usually get some remixed songs nobody of the fanbase is interested in.

I heard it the other way, the first version of Beat It was a very danceable, traditionally funk sorta tune, that they converted into a rock song.

If your version is true then I want to hear that one even more lol

Anyway here is where I got my info from, from 8 min onwards

I wanna hear the original demo with Tito on guitar.....also sounds like Steve is talking about Human Nature being poppy before he added his touch

A heavy metal feel???? Omg now I'm dying to hear that. 80's was the peak of the genre

Was messing around with the HN multis the other day and realised there's a more polished instrumental version of Steve's demo in there. Pretty cool.
Mhm, combine that with Lead Vox Take #7 & you basically get a middle point between Steve's demo & the final track. Though what Michael was singing over in Take #7 is an even more fleshed out version of that track, notably it actually has a more fleshed out ending.

Personally, I've always been more of a fan of Steve's demo, mostly due to the key it's played in. But they made the best choice with how they did the final track.

# This Is Our Time

Lauryn Hill [Denying the existance of a duet called 'This Is Our Time' with Michael and herself]: "I remember when my girlfriend called me up to congratulate me on the duet, and I was like...whaaaaat? I mean, I think if I could choose one person in the industry I'd like to record with it'd be Michael. He is so focused when it comes to what he wants, and who knows...maybe sometime in the future we will work together."

Does anyone know the source of this quote?

I have never been able to find a credible source for the existence of this song.

Kevin Bacon remembers the first song he wrote as a young teen in the early 70's. "It was called 'All The World.' I wrote it for Michael Jackson. Of course he never heard it," he says, laughing.

Billboard magazine, 1999
Yeah I heard him sing a bit of it on Jimmy Fallon but as usual they’re making fun of the entire situation with barrels of laugh from the crowd when Kevin mentions he wrote it when he was 11. Then he starts singing it and Fallon starts making MJ like sounds. It is all super funny apparently.
Michael has never ever been taken as a serious human being, let alone musician.

I think the song mentioned as a rumour in 1999 by "planetjackson.com"

Ok but that's kinda cute though. This is America.
